Joan G. Geiger is an Accredited Professional Mediator and a licensed Attorney at Law in New Jersey. She is a member of the NJ Association of Professional Mediators and past member of the Board of Directors. She is a member of the Somerset County Bar Association and past Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. She is frequent lecturer and seminar presenter for the NJ Association of Professional Mediators, the NJ Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and the Somerset County Bar Association. She is a guest lecturer at Rutgers Law School and mentors new mediators. She has taught for the NJ Association of Professional Mediators Training Course.
Meet the Business Owner: Joan G.
Mediation is a vocation for Joan. After practicing law in a traditional manner for 17 years, Joan converted her law practice into a mediation practice in the belief that mediation is the better way to resolve legal disputes. Joan is one of a handful of professionals who earns a living as a mediator and was one of the first attorneys in NJ to dedicate her practice to mediation. Joan believes in giving back to the profession by lecturing, presenting at seminars, mentoring and training others.
Joan is divorced, remarried and has two children.
