After a house fire at our home in Reading, Ma., our public adjuster, Gary Goldstein, referred us to JLP Construction, Inc. Jon Polansky and his dad, Robert, (the company owners) met with us a few days after contacting them and drew up a wonderful set of plans to rebuilt and reconstruct our property from the studs out. We had a large house that had burned and had almost 800 gallons of water poured into it making for a massive job.
We contacted other builders, got more estimates, but decided to go with JLP and I can tell you, we were very happy that we did. Jon and Rob were so great to work with, explained everything in the easiest terms, were always quick to respond to our phone calls to answer each and every question, were so up to date with building codes, town requirements, permits, etc., etc. The job was completed a couple of weeks earlier than they had originally promised: a miracle in the building world!
Once we signed the contract to begin the job everything moved right along. We never had to deal with worrying about getting any permits, scheduling inspector visits or worrying about code restrictions. They were our advocates from the day we signed the contract to begin the job until the day we moved back. The price they quoted us from the start never deviated. The contractors and sub contractors were the best: professional, friendly, courteous, very neat, always making us feel like we were in control. The materials used in each project were top of the line, the same quality they used in their own homes.
We have moved back into our home and would recommend JPL to anyone who is interested in renovating, restoring or building a house, or doing any kind of home improvement project. They truly are a pleasure to work with and give you much freedom to make your own choices with their professional advice. We'd hire them again and again! read more
