It is important not only to get a psychiatrist who provide general maintenance for you, but it also…read moreis important to get someone who is there for you at your lowest point. No one wants to be at their low point, but it does happen unfortunately. I was at my lowest point when I first went to see Dr. Guo. I had given up on myself and life at that point. But even though I gave up, Dr. Guo never gave up on me. He stuck by me, which is very important, because not all psychiatrists will see you if they think you might be too high maintenance. And even though I didn't have much faith in myself, I always had some faith in Dr. Guo. We would go through a lot of trials of what the best medication for me was. It would take us 2 years to find the right medication. But during this time, Dr. Guo understood my disappointments when certain medications didn't work and always had my confidence I was still in good hands. I am giving 5 stars not just because he's a great psychiatrist but because he made me realize the therapist I initially saw was not working. I had seen a therapist and it wasn't working, I simply thought I was untreatable and nothing could be done for me. Luckily enough, he was able to realize the therapist had not explored all available avenues for me. So I changed therapists and boy what a difference it made. By the time I was with the new therapist, we had found the best medication that worked for me. Today, I don't see Dr. Guo regularly as I am doing much better. Also, I have the confidence if I ever fall to my low point again, Dr. Guo will help me get back up. As I said in the first paragraph, no one ever wants to get to their low point, but when it does happen, you need someone who is there for you at your low point. Dr. Guo was that man.

Imagine getting good treatment for once after years of bad treatment and it gets cut off because the person that answers the phones and emails got in her feelings. Now they want me to have a conversation with her to be able to continue seeing the only therapist I ever liked. This is ridiculous and I will be reporting them to the State Board.

Right out of the gate, that ask was not respected and group therapy was pushed in spite of multiple declines from both me and my son. After I canceled service, the counselor reached out to my son via text which I find to be inappropriate. I don't recommend this place.

Her acceptance of all faiths, sexualities, races, and beliefs is one of the reasons I keep coming back to her. Since moving from the Philadelphia area, Dr. Sullivan has begun taking my sessions via Skype. The visualizations we do in place of the hypnotherapy have been wonderful and positive. While I miss seeing her in person, this has been a great option for the two of us. I recommend her to anyone, but especially to those who are women or in the LGBTQI community.
