Delivery and drop off were free of charge within a certain amount of miles from his shop. The cart was picked up on a Wednesday afternoon and battery swap was completed that same week on Friday at 11am. My cart was dropped off within an hour of the phone call. I was shopping for a refurbished golf cart and came across JJ's Golf Carts on Craigslist. They had several current/recently posted ads advertising they had carts as low as $1700 and and 2013 carts for $2000. I went to their website which showed their inventory which didn't show any 2013's, but had several 2016's listed in stock for $2800 and $3100. I was OK with with $2800 to $3100 and drove 2 hours to their shop. When I arrived, I was told the 2016's were the cheapest carts they had and they were were $4000. They would not honor their advertised prices. I wasted 4 hours driving there and back. Although it appears everybody else had a good experience, I did not. I would not recommend this company and would advise others to avoid it as well. read more

I would have given 3 stars had the after service been even 1/2 way decent. I was referred to JJ from a close friend. I was having my cart painted and some other things done. When I dropped it off, he told me 2-3 weeks to complete the work. When I didn't hear from him after three weeks I stopped by to see nearly nothing done. I finally got the cart back two months later...it looked great. Then, a few days later I found the need to turn my headlights on and nothing worked. No headlights no tail lights. I called JJ and he claimed he had nothing to do with it when we both know he had to remove the headlights and tail lights to take the parts off to be painted. First off...this was the third place I called for my troubleshooting issue. It should've been my first because they picked up the phone, took my call personally, and agreed to come out after hours for the repair...SAME DAY. The kicker here for the fifth star rating was...he wasn't even the one that screwed it up to begin with!!! Now that my fellow yelpers is service. Now to the issue. I bought a 2009 EZ GO cart that was supposed to be turned up a notch or two for extra speed. These carts are notoriously slow. Contacted one shop and they told me they were already familiar with my cart and the slow speed issue. They also reiterated that they turned it up to the maximum. This was also the same story that the previous owner of the cart shared openly when I purchased it. Second shop the lady takes my number and two weeks later I still haven't heard back. Then a buddy tells me to look up a dealer near me and I find JJ's business. Not only did he take my call like I stated earlier, but he came out the same day to repair the issue! Originally bought my golf cart from these guys. It ran flawless. When it came time to replace the speed controller and motor. The customer service was not there. On the first attempt to return me a supposedly refurbished motor and a used speed controller. They came and picked it up, and returned it with the speed it should have. These guys are a scam. After almost a year of trying to upgrade my EzGo from 36V to 48V. I finally found a VERY Professional shop to do business with. I had a company out of Hollister (not mentioning a name) put a new 48V controller in for me and that part was fine. However, he talked me into buying a 48V Lithium battery ($2,400). He went completely AWOL on me and I actually had to have Police escort me to his business where we found him Cracked out and incoherent. He finally gave me the battery which no one even wanted to attempt to install. I then called MANY different golf cart shops locally and even Tesla to have it installed, No luck. Finally someone at my Country Club told me to reach out to JJ's Golf Cart in Modesto. I was hesitant at first since I live in San Jose. I finally called JJ and he actually answered his phone. He told me he too did not know that much about the Lithium battery I had purchased, but he said it sounded like I was missing a lot of components needed to make it work. We finally agreed it was best two swap out my six 6V batteries with six 8V batteries. I let him know I was ready to pull the trigger and he had a tech to my home within the next few days. Extremely professional and very quick with the install. My wife and I just got back in from our first ride and it was AWESOME! Drove over 12 miles and we live in a very hilly community. The torque the new system gave us was unbelievable (doing the hills with no problem) and I think we picked up 3MPH+ on the flat lands. When all was said and done, we still had an almost 100% battery charge left. JJ is my new go to guy for any future items needed!
