Somehow this time worked out for CarMax to be the best quote and everything went fine. You get there, they check your quote, they take a look at your car, take some pictures and send those pictures for approval somewhere else. After a few minutes they are back with your quote, fill up some paperwork and you're out with your check. Great, simple, pleasant, stress free and fast experience. If everything aligns in your way with CarMax, definitely give them a shot.

This should have been a straightforward transaction that took a couple of hours after selecting the car. Instead, the process took unnecessary time, due to repeated back and forth with the sales manager, which raised serious concerns for me. To be clear: The sales associate who assisted me, was extremely helpful, professional, and respectful. They don't deserve her. She did everything she could on her end and I truly appreciate her efforts. However, despite having outside financing, I was repeatedly pressured to complete a dealer credit application. Which would Allow an additional credit pull and Consider dealer arranged financing And "non negotiable" add on products that increased the final price of the vehicle. This was confusing and frustrating, especially since later went to another AutoNation dealership, and was told this should not be required when a customer already has bank financing and funds ready. At this point, I'm not sure if this is something everyone experiences here, a management issue, or something else, but the lack of transparency made me uncomfortable enough to walk away from the deal. I'm sharing this to encourage future buyers to please carefully review all paperwork, Question any request for unnecessary credit checks and be aware of added items that can inflate the final price If anyone else has experienced something similar at this dealership, I would genuinely appreciate hearing about it.
