We settled on a date and time and he told me I could print out the questionnaire on the website and bring it with me or to just be there about 10 minutes early and he'd have it there. This place is very easy to find right off Progress Avenue approximately a mile off of I-81. When I walked in--it looked like a Dr. office. It is very clean and I was greeted immediately upon arrival. it's not your "typical spa" where you walk in to the smell of lavender and are whisked away to a dressing room, where you are handed a plush robe and "slippers" and given some kind of fancy flavored water and time to spend in a sauna before your massage. It's more of a professional Dr. office type vibe. However, is it probably one of the best massages you will ever have!! Read on :) Michael took me into one of the rooms and explained reflexology. Very interesting! All I had to do it take off my shoes/socks and roll my pants up to my knees, lay on the comfy massage table and he'd do the rest. Thankfully, I don't have any areas of chronic pain or issues, but if you do--he is very adaptable to your needs. The reflexology massage mostly is inclusive to your feet. There is a little bit of hand massage as well. It was very relaxing and I really enjoyed it. Michael is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about massage. My first appointment at this location to try to use my gift was March 29th. The massage I received was subpar and had multiple customer service flaws in the treatment provided by a female massage therapist who claimed over 10 years of experience. There were definitely areas that could be improved upon, and some of the customer service issues or ones that could cause trouble for this small business in the future. The next day I called and spoke to the owner, Kathy. She listened carefully, apologized, and scheduled me to see another therapist two weeks later. The day before that rescheduled appointment in April, owner Kathy called, my appointment was canceled due to the replacement therapist being unable to find a babysitter. I was then given a third appointment date and time, May 2 at 5pm with Jess. I showed up at 4:50 p.m. on May 2nd only to see a sign on the door stating that the therapists were doing a massage until 5:10 p.m. I was pretty sure that meant my 5 p.m. appointment had been missed, and I was correct. I guess it was not entered into the system. Kathy came out to the waiting area at 5:20 and realized her mistake, and Kathy gave me a massage starting at 5:30. The massage from Kathy was fantastic. She was attentive to pressure points and areas of pain, was professional and communicative but allowed talk to stop when I got quiet. I was pain free for the first time in a VERY long time, after Kathy worked on my back and neck. Due to all of the frustration and confusion, Kathy had me come back again on May 16th so I could finally meet with Jess for a massage. I showed up May 16 with a terrible sinus infection and headache. Jess was fantastic about it. She used peppermint oil and various essential oils with her massage lotion and worked on my forehead and cheeks in order to try to relieve some of the pain and pressure. I paid to have her add an additional 30 minutes to my one hour massage. It was a fantastic choice. Between Kathy and Jess, their skills made up for the frustration of poor first experience and schedule changes. I would happily schedule an appointment at Ultimate Health again, especially with Jess. She said she could only do 45 minutes so I said OK. Living close by I went right over . I noticed this was a different woman that I had had a month ago. No problem . The place is very clean and very comfortable however they have no music, I tried to ask her to play soft spa music but she just ignored me. So I used my phone. It helps to relax. if you don't bring ur phone in and play ur own u can hear the traffic etc from outside. So my phone was next to me playing spa music. Just ridiculous I asked her to play some but there is a big language barrier . Before starting, she asked me to pre-pay which I have no problem doing that but I will not tip them until massage is finished. Then she told me the price had been increased. Shes showed me a text message that said OWNER RAISED PRICE. They have a price list right on the wall. I know what I paid four weeks ago, so the price was now increased. OK well I'm gonna take that out of your tip because that's not OK. If you want to raise the price, you better make sure you have trained people in there and the Massage given to the customer is worth it. Now I have to get undressed so we've already wasted about seven minutes. It was 6 o'clock. I was supposed to have a 45 minute massage. She stopped at 6:35. OK I paid for 45 min there is no relaxing with this Massage. She starts out rough, and finishes rough. There's no downtime , since there's no soothing music. There's no face massage no neck or hand nothing soothing and to anyone who gets massages-I think you know what I mean. Just bing bang done. I had to ask her to use oil again... and when she did, although she did get a hot towel, she then started to dry my skin off with paper towel towels!! ‍‍‍ These people are not trained as massage therapist. There is no way they are licensed therapist!! she gave me a massage like she would give her daughter or friend. No pressure points. Everything was very quick. And rough, banging on my back then she had me sit up so she could massage my back. This was very odd. I wasted $80. Not happy about it. I'm tempted to call them and go get my money back. I did give her $20 extra for her time and for having me come in so quickly but the more I think about it the more I annoyed I become. I gave them a second chance and something just is not sitting well with me.
