I went on a rainy and windy vacation after that and no matter how much weather abuse my hair took, it fell back into place perfectly with just a comb, every time. I thought of Kaylee so many times during those weeks and was so grateful for her skill. Without that great cut, I would certainly have frightened the locals with crazy witch hair. Today, I ventured over to the post office and got the most fabulous amount of service from a post office since SHV. I have a lighter complexion which reddish hair makes more red. Over the past 2 years (at other salons,) I have been asking for dark, deep, base and darker purple highlights. My hair has either washed out 2-3 weeks in, or has turned reddish instead of purple. I have also never gotten the dramatic angled cut I love. I have tried showing pictures of what I'd like, and have been specific of the angle and/or length. I ask for recommendations as to what is closest between what I want and what can be done to my hair. After recently moving and having a baby, I decided it was time to try out another salon. My husband (on a whim) found this salon and gifted me services for when I had our baby. My hair appointment with Brooke was great. She listened, gave her recommendation to try and I just LOVE my color and cut!! I have been going here for over 3 years, and have never been disappointed, except..... don't let Erin cut your hair. I'm not sure if that's her exact name, but she is relatively short, older (about 40-50 years old), a bit wider than the average person and uses a cane and has blue hair. I often get haircuts without scheduling a time, so I normally get the first available person, which normally turns out to be her. At first I thought this was a coincidence, but then after giving her 4 chances to get a simple haircut right (longer on top, shorter on the sides), she has failed every time. She would miss patches of hair, she would start off doing the wrong haircut and then have to correct her mistakes, or she would cut much shorter than I asked. I have given her way too many chances! Always avoid her by any means. If she is the only one available, leave and schedule an appointment. So in summary, this place is great, this is the best place in Madison. But by all means, AVOID ERIN!
