Located inside Palms Book State Park, this natural spring was one of the most unique and beautiful places we visited. The water is crystal clear all the way to the bottom, and you can easily see fish swimming below. You hop onto a self-operated raft that you pull across the water to the middle of the spring, where there's an opening in the center to look straight down. It gives you a perfect view of the vibrant underwater world -- it's honestly mesmerizing. It's a quick stop, but totally worth it. And the best part? It's dog-friendly! Definitely add this to your list if you're exploring the Upper Peninsula.

To my surprise, they have a separate freezer where they keep vegan flavors sold by pints. It's the same producer as their regular ice cream, a company from Wisconsin, and they were the best vegan ice cream I've had. The flavor was peanut buddy. Made from oat cream. I will definitely be looking for their distribution places in metro Detroit. The lady working there was so nice and very accommodating. Amazing parson! My husband also got the regular chocolate flavor, and he also said it was the best he had. This manufacturer just makes a very good ice cream period. There is also a mini golf you can play. This Miner's "Yooper" pasty is easily within the top 2 so far! The crust is moist/tender and the filling is full of flavor and not dry like many are. There is a lot of beef in the filing along with the other staples. I usually prefer chopped veggies but this was so good, I didn't mind the sliced/peeled version. The service was good. A nice place, easy to see/find. This "Yooper" pasty gets an 8.5 out of 10!

This was my first pastie from the U.P. and I have to say it was very tasty! I ordered the yooper. I couldn't tell the difference between the potatoes and rutabaga, never had a rutabaga before, and I'm not generally a fan of onions. This had a flaky, but substantial crust for the filling, which was ample. I expected it to be dry, as I've heard from others that pasties are dry, not the case with this one! Gravy or ketchup would be good as well, but it didn't need it. The ice cream was also delicious! Creamy, sweet with just enough added cherries, cheesecake, etc. Definitely recommend Miners!

The ice cream was fresh, tasted delicious, with several flavors to pick from. The workers suggested delicious flavors that were the most popular. Their suggestions were on point. The prices were perfect as a good value for the scoops given. I had a waffle cone with black cherry and Mackinac Island fudge. My niece really enjoyed her fudge sundae. She ate it so quick we offered her another scoop. To her it was just realllllly good (and she was full off of the portion). I had the Black Cherry ice cream - HIGHLY RECOMMEND- for it had big chunks of black cherries and a nice mild cherry flavor for the base. It was rich and creamy. Mackinac Island Fudge is also highly noteworthy. It has a velvety vanilla base with thick fudge swirls that will even stick out in a scoop from the generous portions. It pairs perfectly with the Black Cherry. The workers mentioned it is very popular. Cleanliness The floor was even clean even though it was super busy. They used clean scoopers for the ice cream. The workers appeared to follow all food safety guidelines (and go above for cleanliness). They took extra time to wear gloves and go above and beyond for our peanut allergy person. They ensured an excellent experience with their steadfast inspection of ingredients. This resulted in her enjoying her ice cream without a reaction. The bathroom was clean with nice foot pedals for the water dispenser. Service All of the workers there were hard working, cheerful, and friendly. My Uncle enjoyed talking to one worker about the sports she plays. We had several questions and the answered all of them. There was not a slow moment for them (line out the door); however, they kept up their hustle and friendliness. Dogs If you bring your fur babies it appears they need to stay outside. Only service animals are allowed inside. Overall, if you are in Marquette, Michigan, you need to stop or plan on it. There is even a nice flower spot around a cow for pictures. Inside there are multiple tables in front of a wall mural of a cow pasture. Highly recommend for all parties to take the time to stop. Several instagram worthy spots for perfect photos.
