I called AAA & Colby came to jump start our Toyota Highlander. After inspection, he advised it was dead; I needed a new battery. While talking with him, I mentioned other things the car might need and he informed me that Jim's Auto does mechanical as well as paint & body work and detailing. He took my car and after a diagnostic informed me that all it needed was a battery and tires! I appreciate Jim's honesty. very unprofessional very poor quality work and take advantage of his own mother. Don't become his next paycheck and have to have somebody else work was charged for new parts and received used ones currently dealing with insurance company reporting this. His shop can handle simple things like oil leaks, beyond that, they are idiots. They will say they installed a part, charge you for it, then later, the cheap part made with tin snips will fall out in your driveway . DO NOT TRUST THESE IDIOTS! You have been warned. read more

They charged me $440 to change the battery terminals and put it on the computer. I told them not to run a high bill. They were supposed to fix the key switch so I wouldn't have to crank it from under the hood A push button start up doesn't qualify if l can't lock my truck I can change the battery terminals in 30 minutes or less read more

We used Jim's Auto to tow our car from Seneca to Greenville. Brian arrived within 20 minutes after we called and did a great job. He also went above and beyond after arriving to a late-at-night locked gate in Greenville. Instead of charging to tow it all the way back, we found a work-around and he was able to take it to another close-by location. I cannot say enough good things about Brian. Jim and his team saved our trip this weekend! Stuck at the reststop at the GA/SC boarder, my first thanks go to Christian who was great in coming to our aid with a tow truck. Friendly and providing excellent service to get us to Jim's Auto for repairs. Arriving at 1pm on Friday, Jim squeezed us in for emergency repairs so we could be on our way within a few hours. He was able to provide hard to find parts and replace our wheel that had worn through from the inside due to loose brake assembly. Serivce from Jim, and his entire family (I just love family operated businesses), provided the best experience we could have imagined at an extremely reasonable price. Our car broke down in South Carolina. AAA could not find a tow service that could tow our Suburban and 18 ft boat on trailer. Jim's came out and did the tow, putting our boat in their secure lockup while taking the car to their shop.  Miss Pam, who is their parts runner, drove us into Seneca to stay at a hotel and came to get us when the repair was complete. The repair bill was fair, and the work was excellent. As a sidenote, I understand they have an excellent paint shop. Walking around the car lot I could see some of the cars have been repainted and the work looked very good.  Overall, Jim's made what was a major inconvenience a fairly minor bump in the road. read more

Had bad fuel pump, took car to Jim's for new, after leaving i had gasoline smell, went back to shop and was told that smell was there before, it wasn't. They refused to do anything more for me, I went to another place and had it fixed. the new fuel pump seal installed wrong. Never again! read more

I had to use my AAA today to have my Jeep towed to where it was to be repaired. They were absolutely awesome. I had to leave home to go to work and the tow driver gave me a call and I met him at our home when he was on way to get Jeep. He was very professional and I would definitely recommend their tow services. This is the second time using them . The first time was when they had to tow our Harley. They showed up with all the stuff to safety tow our bike. The drivers were wonderful both times. Thanks for the great service!! read more

Had a engine issue, so was looking at different mechanics in the area. The tow driver quoted me free towing even though it was outside the 3 miles. When I went to pay the bill, the ended up charging me for the towing. The driver knew I didnt have the upgraded membership, and straight up lied to me. Be warned. read more

The starter on my car went out while I was on an out of state trip. I called AAA and they sent a tow truck out to get me. The driver was very nice and treated my vehicle well. Upon arrival, I found out that they didn't have a starter available for my car and that it would be 2 days. This was the day before Thanksgiving, so I thought my trip would be ruined. Jim's Auto Shop is nothing but a bunch of theives...l have had to use them 3 times in a month and a half to get my truck fixed right... they would quote one price how much it would be to fix it and then when l would pick it in up the bill jumped up to 500$/600.00 $ and his mother is rude and very very unprofessional...l would not let them fix my bicycle... that's how bad they are and the only reason l gave them one star is cuz it told me too... I got into an auto accident and the highway patrol officer called the next tow company on the list. It was a very bad accident. When the wreckers got it out of the woods it was not a mess in the cabin if the pick up. Any way fast forward next day... I went to get a few important items out. The inside of the truck was tore apart pilfered through. The only thing they took was a very personal item. My VFW Post 6830 leather Auxilary vest. The pins on that vest are not replaceable. There was a brand new prescription. Nothing was taken but this very personal item. I just don't know what someone would want with it. If the embroidery is pulled out the patches torn off it'll ruin the vest. Any one that loves America would returns this very persinal item. They said it didn't happen at their lot. I don't beleive it because I saw the cabin of my pick-up before it went onto the roll back. Please get my vest back read more

I don't generally write negative reviews, but they are awful and I want to give potential prospective customers a heads up. They may come across nice at first sight, but their customer service sucks and they will keep delaying your car weeks past the estimated date. They also repaired my car wrong. I recommend Twin Lakes, not too far from Jim's for better service and repair. read more

I have never written a review before, but the treatment that this company gave us was so deplorable, that I really need to warn people. AAA sent us here after an accident (got towed here) and the owner took many many days to call us back about the estimate to repair the front damage. Never got back to us about the back damage. After over 3 weeks with incessant calls to the shop, we decided to donate our car. We came to the shop to tell them what we were doing and to retrieve our belongings and license from the car, only to hear that they would not release our car to Goodwill, because we owed THEM for storage fees. These were never mentioned until this day, we never signed a contract about this, but had no choice but to give Jim's Auto our title to "cover" the cost of storage fees. This is robbery and extremely bad business. Please be aware of this sneaky tactic if you ever deal with them. read more
