I…read morebrought in a Vossen HF-5 (Matte Gunmetal) for a curb rash repair, and it was a disaster from start to finish. Technical Failure: They failed the color match twice. They used a satin finish that didn't match the finish of my other wheels. The tech actually claimed he "matched the center cap," which is a different material and color than the wheel face, and told me the paint "needed time in the sun" to change texture. Safety Issue: After the second attempt, the paint chipped immediately, causing a leaky tire. When I called to report this, the receptionist said chipping paint wouldn't cause a leak, which isn't accurate when the chip is on the bead seat. Avoidance & Dishonesty: I called on Monday and was told the manager, Sylvester, would call me back. I waited a full day and never heard a word. I eventually had to call corporate just to get the GM Sal's number to get any movement. The Interaction: When I finally went in for a refund, I ended up speaking directly to Sylvester. He claimed he never called me back because he was "working nights," even though the staff had confirmed he was on-site during the day when I originally called. I accepted the refund because I no longer trust this shop's honesty or technical ability. If you have a high-end vehicle or aftermarket wheels, save yourself the headache and go to a specialist who actually knows what they are doing.

They recommend that I turned the front rotors. Problem temporarily solved. The sound came back, then they recommended that I get the back rotors turned and the brakes replaced. This is my first big complaint. I would think that it makes sense to check all four wheels before sending me on my way. During this second visit I also asked that they see if they can read the codes for the check engine light. They do so, then tell me that they don't have the tools to find out what is wrong with my car, and was charged around $80 for this service anyways. I finally take my car to the Volvo dealer to find out that my vehicle needs 3-5 grand in repair to run safely, which Brocks should have been able to tell me if only they had the tools to find out that the radiator hose and steering rack had visible issues. The name of the business has "car repair", which they were unable to do.

When I arrived another gentleman checked me in, he seemed to either be having a terrible day or hated his job because his attitude wasn't that of a welcoming Discounts Tire staff member. I'm from Texas, we have a Discount Tire 5 miles in any direction. They're all always busy, always friendly & always fast. Especially when you have an appointment! We arrived just a few minutes late, our appointment was at 3:30 and I think I pulled the handle on the door to the building at 3:37. I was given a timeframe of 4:50 by the time he was done checking me in and verifying my information. As my wife and I sat in the lobby we watched Walk-In after Walk-In come in, get checked in, serviced and out the door and on their way while we sat patiently and waited for our "Appointment" to be completed. My wife and I have spent at minimum $7K-$10K with Discount Tire. We have 4 kids that we've purchased new tires for, plus my wife's Lexus and my GMC. I had 2 tires on my 2014 Sierra that needed checked, front left for a slow leak & Rear left for a puncture/ serious leak. Possible replacements under Certs (either way if they needed replaced I was ready to pay for it). We've never had an appointment for a new purchase, mount & balance or a flat repair and watched so many Walk-Ins take priority. Ludicrous. And just poor customer service, I hope the rest of the stores aren't like this in SC or we'll take our business elsewhere. Definitely won't be visiting this location in the future. He gave me an exact price, I agreed and gave him my name and number. He ordered the tires. Later that day, they called to say the tires would be available the next day. We took it in about noon. They had the tires installed and my pressure sensors reinstalled correctly on each of the six tires later that afternoon. I was impressed with how polite, friendly, and efficient the staff was. Also it was amazing how quickly I had new tires on the RV... right at 30 hours from the first call to when they called to say it was ready. Lastly, the price was great... Far less than I expected.
