Cheese is placed on top, and seems to hold everything in place. On this visit, we walked in and there a few people ahead of us. We ordered and were told it'll take about 20 mins. While there were a couple seats inside, we waited outside. The pizza was ready in 20 mins and we absolutely loved it. We ordered a large, 4 topping (sausage, onion, mushrooms and tomatoes) and it was @ $29. Bring cash because that's all they take. The pizza had a lot of flavour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We'd absolutely be back and despite what some other reviews say, I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.

So the pizza was good, very cheesy. They put the cheese on top of the toppings instead of the other way around, which is fine, but does tend to cause the cheese layer to slide off. So eat carefully! Can't really complain, everything was fine. Other than it was pretty expensive at over $20 for a medium 2-topping... but that appears to be the going rate in town. Service was fine, on-time, and friendly. At the time, they were taking CASH only though.

The grilled chicken Greek salad had plenty of real Kalamata olives and lots of Greek oregano, which gives it the traditional Greek flavor. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the setting as it was just subpar. Maybe it's too much to expect Toronto quality Italian food in Trenton, but everything from the tomato sauce in the lasagna (way too acidic), ho hum aglio olio for the California fettucine and lack of simple garden salad (what kind of Italian place only serves Caesar salad or Greek salad?) just didn't do it for me. My fettucine was undercooked (not even close to being al dente), the chicken breast was dry and the overall seasoning was weak. Even with the addition of giant slivers of Parmaggiano didn't do much to elevate the dish. I would have sent the dish back if we weren't in a rush to finish our meal and get back on the road. The Margherita pizza was the best part of this dinner sadly. I'm not sure if we'll be back in Trenton again any time soon, but I will be looking for other options than Tomasso's.
