We ordered specials that were posted at the ordering counter--a turkey melt and a french dip. Both came with chips and were priced under $10. Loaded with meat, one half of each sandwich was relegated to our next meal. The secret sauce on the turkey melt made the sandwich. Our food arrived exceptionally quick during a busy Friday lunch hour--the place was packed! A local took up conversation with us and carried the conversation. From our talk we learned that the deli has been open about a year and everything on the menu is good--especially the desserts. Our overall clad conversationalist shared that his chicken chipotle sandwich was on the "right side of good." Restrooms were available (we did not use) and parking was plentiful in this friendly lunch stop. If you need a pick me up, travel to a small town in Nebraska and you will find genuine kindness, good food from places you have never heard of and a good dose of conversation.
