Very disappointed in professionalism. We are all experiencing unprecedented times. I stopped by this location at lunchtime on 5/8/20. My purpose was to pick up lunch for my daughter and son-in-law who were in the hospital across the street having their first baby. The city of Poplar Bluff opened on Monday with proper social distancing practices within business locations. At this Jimmy Johns, the large open sign was lit by the front door. I could also see people in the lobby. I decided to park my truck and walk inside to place my order for the kids. As I walked across the parking lot I literally heard the front door lock and looked up to see people scrambling at the door inside. There was one paper, that I could not read, posted on the door. Their scrambled were to tape one more to the door and one to the window next to it. I couldn't read it so had to walk closer. As I got closer I realize that the notices was that their lobby was still closed. However, I also realized that the women inside, right at the front door, were looking out at me - then at each other and laughing like they had just done a good deed. Shame on you. Your disrespect just cost you a customer and everyone else I can communicate this with. We are ALL impacted with changes. It was you who was unprepared. Your open sign was on that is right next to your front door. A simple common courtesy of sticking your head out the door and saying something like - I'm really sorry but our dining room is closed, would you mind using our drive through please - would have worked perfectly. But instead you provided the sound of a door locking and laughing about your good deed. Expect to see this in more places Jimmy Johns ... I want the world to see just how unprofessional the Poplar Bluff location is. A boy on a bike, the founder of your organization, would be ashamed of you! As an added note - I did go through your drive through. Only because that's what the new mommy and daddy had requested. You were NOT Freaky Fast. My favorite sandwich shop but this location is not freaky fast and after eating inside twice and drive thru once I decided to review. Inside: too many staff hanging around for there to be dirty tables, staff are rude which is unacceptable especially a (male about 5'11, stocky and late teen/early 20's) waited on me twice never greeted me or others while I ate and observed, and they should hand you napkins with your sandwich or place them in a more accessible area not behind the counter. There expensive sandwiches the experience should match. I've not had this poor experience at other shops. No issue when going through the drive through except they were not freaky fast. Also they seem to skimp on the meat I get the same sandwich always and this location seems light on the meat - same great taste though. every time i've been here they've always had my food done very quickly and it's always tasted very good and fit my expectations other than the last time when they put too much oil on my italian nightclub sandwich which was still very good. the staff is a little rude sometimes especially a 40-50 year old woman with dark hair who had absolutely no patience with me the first time id come but every other time the staff has been fairly decent, sandwiches were good, and made very quickly probably less than 2 minutes after ordering read more
