This was our first time visiting and are not wine connoisseurs. Our server Shannon was very helpful in explaining the wines and making recommendations based on our input. We enjoyed a cross section of the menu. We had the Olives, Bread Service, and Hummus from the Bites menu. The Hummus dish was very good. Among our party we had the Ricotta Gnocchi, Short rib, and slow roasted chicken. I recommend the short rib as a strong dish. The roasted chicken dish could use some attention as the included escarole was a strange side as it had the consistency of dried leaves and was really an inedible part of the dish. The chicken was also "just" done as it had a wee little pink that made the eater a bit nervous about doneness. My daughter had the white wine flight and found it a good way to try multiple different options. I enjoyed the right bank red blend that was recommended based on the mixed experiences of two of us who were sharing a bottle. It was a good choice. I would recommend Turks Head for a nice evening with friends or a romantic evening with that someone special. Another great dining option in West Chester that has been under the radar.

When we arrived at the circular drive to the 1860's Darlington Mansion our hopes increased. Innkeeper, Lori, met us at the door and toured us through the three stories of this well preserved and restored mansion. Inside we found a gorgeous home, well appointed with period pieces. Lori showed us all the rooms before taking us to the Percy Suite, an elegant area with a sitting room, walk-in closet, and gas fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and several windows made the spacious room feel even warmer. We travel often and have stayed in dozens of B and B's. We've learned the innkeeper can make or break your stay. Lori is a gem. She makes you feel welcome in all the common spaces and around the grounds, has a small frig for your cold items, and even offers a variety of wines for your enjoyment. We had a glass of Mondavi Cab. Quite nice. Each room has a guest notebook covering Lori's great 8 restaurants and area sights to see. Thoughtful and well done. We opted for her top choice, Vudu's Cajun Cuisine and had a great meal. In the morning she puts out coffee and tea at 7:30 am then serves up a mean breakfast at nine. We skipped lunch that day; we were so full. If you are in the West Chester area and love a romantic getaway, this place is a must. Lori also does wedding venues and business stays. We wish her the best of successes.

Built in the 1860s and beautifully restored, the hotel is beautiful. Formerly Faunbrook Bed & Breakfast, it's now a book-themed hotel, with seven rooms filled with books you can read during your stay. We stayed in Jane's Room - a room inspired by Jane Austen. Not only was the room gorgeous (complete with a great selection of books, picture of Jane above the bed, and a bed draped with red velvet), the bathroom was gorgeous, too. And the room had all the amenities: electric tea kettle, coffeemaker, towels, slippers, and more. They also have a very nice main level with space for reading or sitting by the fire. Just a beautiful building. The hotel is self-check-in style. They text you the day of your stay with the code for the front door and the combination for the lockbox for the key to your room. It didn't take away from the lovely stay. It snowed overnight during our stay, so we woke up to an even more charming hotel. That added to an already wonderful stay. If you're a reader or even if you're not, you can have a great hotel stay at this unique and charming hotel.

Limoncello has been a popular choice since I can remember but I hadn't gone since I was in middle school. We were very satisfied with our meals and experience! The atmosphere is super fun and outgoing and service is great. We got water pitcher for the table which I loved. I'm always needing tons of water when I am eating so it's nice to have refills on the ready ! The free bruschetta was a pleasant surprise and the tomato's were fresh and delicious. I don't really like tomato's so when I like them you know they're dang good. We ordered the spicy rigatoni with a cutlet per Jenna's recommendation. I was absolutely blown away at HOW GOOD THE CUTLETS were. I'm a little picky about meat but these cutlets were the best I've ever had. They tasted incredible and were cooked perfectly. And they had a nice breaded crunch. Literally the best cutlets I've ever had The pasta itself was very good too. Big fat homemade rigatonis. Sauce was perfectly creamy and flavorful. But the added spice was a bit much for me. I was fine but I think I would've preferred it plain. My husband felt the opposite and highly the spice was mild so I don't know. We like spicy food we can handle relatively good spicy food but who knows ! It was still really good Our friend liked his branzino a lot. It's not something I would personally ever order but he seemed to really enjoy it he said! All in all we had a great time and want to come back asap (especially for those cutlets haha) thank you Jenna!!

We had a round of drinks (I had Iced Tea since I was driving) others had alcoholic drinks which were excellent. We started with the standard bruschetta. Very good. Also had a foccacia with a side of ricotta and honey. Also had a charcuterie plate with cheeses, olives, sweet peppers and peperoni. Plenty to share with 5 people. I had a salad with calamari. The calamari was tender and sweet. Salad was seasoned just right. We're from Delaware and this is our favorite restuarant in West Chester. Highly recommend.

Our guests had a blast roaming the grounds and the rooms inside, as well as dancing the night away on the terrace, which was surprisingly breezy for a warm August night! We had a long engagement, made longer still by Covid, and Elizabeth was just incredibly warm, considerate, accommodating, professional, and just all-around lovely the entire time. When it came to the big day, Elizabeth was there, guiding us through it and making sure the day went off without a hitch! Choosing this venue was seriously the best decision. Bar staff were friendly and did well with a limited menu. Here are my observations: Although serving a buffet, all proteins (meats) were heavily rationed by food service staff. Desserts ran out quickly, and availability was poorly communicated. Coffee service was initially good, then - ceased (literally brought out cold water to perk). As the dancing began, wait staff began clearing tables. Everything not "protected - at least, verbally" was removed. This included party favors and a table snacks. I was stunned to watch guests repeatedly asked to lift their hands so that napkins (still in use) could be removed. Update (Feb 2017): following above review, I was contacted by someone from the hall. They were professional and courteous, yet wanted to focus my attention on "a lower quality" caterer selection. Further review of the location policies highlighted that hall rental mandates the use of a specific caterers. Which leaves me unclear as to how the caterer is to blame.
