i called for a plumber to address the following: replace my diverter in one bathroom, tighten…read moretoilet bowl and ac not cooling two rooms. They scheduled someone at 5pm, he called and pushed back to 6:30pm, i rescheduled for next day. New plumber shows up on time, im at work, he deals with my wife. Looks at everything and tells my wife, i need new diverter, to order it and he will return, he cant repair the hvac (i need a hvac specialist), tightens toilet bowl. I removes diverter, sends a pic so i can order and reinstalls. Charges $850, i speak to him over phone and request a detailed bill. I want to know how much i am being charged for each service. He doesnt supply one. I call and they say they will email me one, they send the same bill which just shows the total cost. Two days later, my kitchen ceiling drops from a leaking upstairs bathroom becuase the plumber didnt tughtne the diverter when reinstalling!! Just so happens, they call me to ask how was the service!!!! I tell them everytijng indetail and ask for a supervisor to call... its been a month, no calls and no follow up... i purchased the diverter, changed it, tighten it, stopped the leak and fixed my kitchen ceiling. Reasonable, honest plumber who does excellent work!…read more On June 6, 2026, I was in the Bronx helping a family with a water leak in their nearly 100-year-old house. This review is 1.5 months late because I wanted to be sure that the repairs made by Felip at GME Plumbing held up after he completed the plumbing work. I took pictures and sent them to Felip and he provided a reasonable estimate which included parts and labor, so we hired him. Felip and his helper did excellent work, left the place clean, and took away the rubbish. We paid the price in his estimate; there were no surprise extra charges. He 1) Repaired a leaking shower, replaced seat of valve with a special tool. Two previous plumbers only changed the washers and the leaks never stopped. 2) Replaced washing machine valves located behind shower wall. 3) Removed an old leaky toilet and replaced it with a new toilet. It's been over a month since the repairs were completed and there have been no leaks. The water bill is 40% less because of the repairs Felip made. We are very happy with Felip's work and will definitely use him again should we have further plumbing issues.
