My daughter in law, who works in the dental field, suggested I see Dr. Ketron. She took her time with me, explaining all my options, and costs, up front and we decided that this was the best course of action for me. Couldn't be happier with the results! All of the staff were so helpful and caring, and everyone did their best to insure that I was comfortable with both the procedure and my aftercare. Dr. Ketron even called me at home, on a Sunday, to check on my progress! In my particular case, dentures were the best option and Dr. Ketron and her entire staff were the right choice for my care.

After getting my wisdom teeth pulled (early 20?s) he proscribed high dose oxycodone. When I went back in for check ups I was pressured into taking more oxycodone. When I told him no that I felt they were addictive he said my only option was high dose ibuprofen. I took the script (ibuprofen) & didn?t go back until I needed a root canal. During this root canal (his assisting oral surgeon performed) I was given 5 separate shots to numb that all wore off within 5-10 minutes. I was left waiting for the surgeon 15-20 minutes in-between each shot before he finally came in & started working on the root canal. I could feel every excruciating drill for an hour. When I started crying from pain I was yelled at & told that he wouldn?t finish if I continued to be a baby. I believe he & Dr Beavers purposely traumatized me so that I would be forced to use oxy again.

We arrived on the day of appointment and Dr. Bevers came at reception desk 15 minutes later only to say, "I tell you what, this is too much stress for me, I will not perform this procedure". Just like that, he was stressed, no other explanation. What's more frustrating was we found out that another family member of ours had their crown appointment that was scheduled and Dr. Bevers also decided to cancel the procedure, just the day before ours --same thing, no explanation. If the staff already knew he canceled appointment the day before why did they have to confirm our appointment? He was the family dentist for many years, but in the last 2 years we have seen a decline with service and professionalism. We get X-rays during our cleaning and he is supposed to see us, but he never did. I had brushed it off for a while now but the recent event of canceling a scheduled procedure was uncalled for. We decided to change dentist. If he had done this to us and another family member, I have no doubt he had done this to others. The behavior he showed was very unstable and dangerous. I am actually thankful he also recognize that he is unstable and unable to perform the procedure. He should retire and close his practice instead of canceling appointments the day of procedures. I would've given a negative star if there's an option.

I appreciate that they never seem to be bothered by my questions and love the time that they spend to explain a procedure. It's a little weird I know, butt one of my favorite things here is the amount of technology that they use to monitor and track the patients. Right by the dental chair, you can view a computer screen that shows your teeth, x-rays, stats, measurements, notes, and your horoscope (probably not but you get the idea). Seeing the health of your teeth so clearly would help to comfort even the most nervous patient. If you're looking for a dentist, I think you'll appreciate the services here!

I'm a mental health provider(contractor) working under Texas Tech but I live in the Houston area. When my veneer tooth cracked, I knew I have to see cosmetic dentist in Lubbock, because I'm working here. I was referred to Dr. Johnson by another practice. The dentist at that practice was fully booked and they recommended Dr. Johnson. I trusted their referral. I asked Dr. Johnson if they worked in cosmetic dentistry and they stated having 2 cases like mine. Something didn't feel right, regarding what they were saying. I also had 2 cavities filled, but it felt like they placed the cavities back into my teeth. The first night after seeing them I woke up with a toothache, didn't worry about it. Now, I have to take 1 Aleve every night to block the pain. I'm embarrassed, in fear of tooth falling off while eating or talking with family coworkers and friends. I used gorilla glue for now, until I return home, once my contract ends. I'll find someone in Houston, the gorilla super glue is okay so far! The pain always comes around bedtime. A few nights after the procedure my tooth fell out, I texted Sunshine on 5/9/2025, no response at all, I haven't heard back from any of Dr. Johnson's employees. The first appointment they sent for my veneer to be molded. Sunshine created a temporary tooth and that out fell out too, Dr. Johnson advised me to put some "Vaseline" to hold the temporary in, and I did like a fool! I'm not saying to stop going to them for family dentistry, but do not go to them for cosmetic dentistry. Family dentistry is different from cosmetic dentistry. I paid over $2,000 cash, for destruction and I'm in fear of their practice. I will never allow them near my mouth again and never use them again! This has never happened to me before, but hustles happen. I was "bamboozle, "hoodwinked" and "played"!
