For example, there's somebody on here who wanted to be put on pain meds. I was referred to this doctor by a friend of mine, whose mother has dementia. In a day and age where a lot of doctors are pushing medication over holistic approaches first I appreciated That there is a Doctor Who is doing what's best for the patient.

I needed to find a new doctor when my previous doctor of 20+ years stopped taking the insurance I had at that time. My first appointment with him, all those years ago, was more of an interview experience - where did you go to school, medical bonafides sort of thing. It was an opportunity to try and gage his manner, medical expertise, and determine if we would be able to work well together. He was then, as he is now, open, direct, well educated, extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and professional. The one and only drawback is he doesn't do hospital visits. He was very upfront about this right at that first visit. And I appreciated knowing this from the get go so I could make an informed decision. He's very tuned into the medical community and has always provided me with excellent referrals when needed. We've gotten along great all these years. Appointments are easy to make on a timely basis. All the staff working there are truly fabulous. I especially appreciate nurse Fred and always hope to see him when I'm there. He's so knowledgeable and kind. My rule of thumb in seeking medical professionals - medical education counts, they have to be smart, they have to be direct, they have to have excellent critical thinking skills, and I have to trust them. Check on all counts. It's just a bonus that we also get along very well.

I only felt a tiny pinch. I get very anxious when needles are coming my way, but she is efficient, fast and calming. Gia also communicates clearly. I was out the door in 10 minutes, total time since I walked through the door. I am ready to enjoy the rest of my Saturday. Thank you, Gia! This Sutter building is quite nice and I noticed that a receptionist is sitting there as you enter the sliding glass doors. There are a number of wheel chairs right by the front door in case there is a need. I am happy to see the lab is open on Saturday mornings. It was a calm and relaxing atmosphere as compared to a weekday. They explain everything as they're doing it and they're able to work expeditiously to have you in and out. If you don't mind waiting 5-10 min, you can get a CD with your images on the spot to take home with you. I also like that since SPMF is a Medical Group affiliated with Sutter Health, I am able to access my imaging reports online even before my doctor sees it! If you have the ability to choose a facility of your choice for X-rays, I highly recommend SPMF. *Please note that this facility only has the capacity to take x-rays. Dr. Harner should have recognized I was in danger; he could have at least sent me to a specialist for another opinion, as there was clearly something wrong. I feel lucky to be alive.
