My experience was comical, I pulled into an empty lane/bay to get a basic transmission service. 5 employees tell me they "shouldn't" do it, their technical term was "it'll mess it up". I'm a manager in the automotive industry myself and I could tell all 5 employees felt awkwardly dumb trying to explain, couldn't give me an honest reason why they're turning me away. Obvious they just didn't want to work. Wouldn't recommend these ignorant, lazy, people if they were the only shop in town. 5 Was leaving on a multi-state vacation, needed an oil change, Jiffy Lube was open and quickly got me in without an appointment. The girl at the desk was very professional and knew her job well. Checked and filled all the fluids and checked and replaced the dirty filters. I felt I had made the right decision going to JiffyLube before my trip. If you are looking for a quick oil change and nothing more, then this is a convenient option in town. The employees will absolutely try to upsell you on spark plugs, cabin air filters and tires, but if you hold firm (and especially if you have a 19% off coupon from the mail), the experience won't be too bad. Unfortunately, I've had several issues with poor communication and sometimes just a total lack of understanding from the staff here. My most recent experience was bringing in my car when the tire pressure was low, and waiting for an hour to be told that everything was fine and just a little air was needed. I was told that despite the warning light still being on, it would go away soon. After the light remained on 48 hours later, I went elsewhere and a nail was found in the same tire. I've given this location many chances, and some issues have been easily resolved, but overall it has become more hassle than it is worth. Staff is kind but often aloof, and usually the employees are not on the same page as each other. If you need anything other than an oil change, I would recommend Rick's in Old Orcutt for a world of a difference in both quality and customer service. read more

I had an AC system failure in a company-owned fleet vehicle. This was the third place I had tried to get it fixed at. The first two (large name brand) repair shops said they couldn't fix it. I came here, they took a quick look at it, immediately found the problem, ordered the part, and got me scheduled to have it repaired first thing the following morning. Prior to this, I wasn't aware Jiffy Lube would make such repairs. They were quick, easy to deal with, friendly, and knowledgeable. Do not take your vehicle to Jiffy Lube. After an oil change they recommended new spark plugs for $149 coolant replacement for another $149 and cabin filter for $32. I did not buy any because I wanted to check my records. Sure enough I had replaced the spark plugs about 1,300 miles ago which tells me they don't know what they are doing or plainly ripping off customers who don't check records. Never again have lost me as a customer forever! Zero stars. They want to make a quick buck in a small town. Not one dollar from me at any Jiffy Lube!! Response: here is the receipt. Had a oil change doen at Jiffy Lube, never used it before. They were quick but you shoud be cautious of the add ons. Somehow my oil change for an F-150 came to $140, I understand it needs extra oil but even the dealer isnt that much. Of much more concern is they stated my battery need to be replaced as well as tires and asked if I wanted to do it. I keep very much in tune with the condition of my truck and actually know my tread depth and battery condition as it was just checked 3 weeks prior, they both are just fine. This is literally the best jiffy lube (and auto shop in general) I've ever been to. I had an older Honda Civic that was passed down to me that needed maintenance. Relied on it to do long commutes to SB. A lot of parts needed replacing and the entire time they explained to me what was going on with the car, why parts needed replacing, etc. they were honest about pricing at their place and in the area so I got the best deals, and they worked with me to make it affordable. Went above and beyond!! Their employees are all super friendly as well. Literally every single one of them. Offered to give me a ride back home when my car was being work on late in the evening and wouldnt be ready until morning. They helped diagnose so many car problems, and the wait was never that long. You don't get better customer service than here. Will definitely be coming back once my new car service expires!! I had gotten an oil change at a different Jiffy Lube near where I live before driving down the state, and during the trip my car started leaking a lot of oil! Luckily I had AAA help me and they towed me to the Santa Maria Jiffy Lube location. Adin, Ceci, Juan, Jesse, and Eduardo all did a great job talking to me about the issue, looking at my car and fixing the problem on the spot, and I was back on the road very quickly. My car has been running fine ever since. The other Jiffy Lube location was very apologetic about what happened, and was able to help me out for the danger they put me in. Which that was good of them to do and I at least appreciate that effort, but to be honest, I wish I lived near Santa Maria so I could go to this location instead! Highly recommended. read more

I had brought my daughters car here a month ago and let me tell you, although they are a bit more pricey than my "usual" place I will only be going to Jiffy Lube from here on out. Fast service, free coffee and tea, the only thing that I was unhappy about was the cost: I wish costs of the service would be discussed before it was done. Jiffy lube can really be a great way to get fast service of your car, but just make sure you know what prices or coupons the location accepts in advance, because without coupons or promotions it can be quite a bit more expensive than other shops to have your oil changed. Just got off work stop by the ATM to withdraw money and I had a total of 500 dollars ,went to pay something that was 300 and was remaining 200 left ,decided to not do my oil change myself and go to jiffy lube in Santa Maria and let me just say this has never happened to me before because I usually go to the one in Arroyo grande but I get to the location. I leave my wallet with $200 on the inside side of my door. And when my car is ready I go and get my wallet and it turns out that I'm missing $100 so like usually told the managers, managers look clueless and they say that they're going to check their cameras they get in contact with the owner was waiting there probably for 30 minutes and nothing so therefore I decided to just pay the service that I had gotten and I have to deal with things because I had things to do, they said they were going to give me a call back in a few and it's been hours now, so I had to call back and it turns out that they didn't find anything wrong and just like all companies they try and save their reputation and their employees, I don't think this is fair, because not only are we trust in them with our service we're trusting them with our personal vehicles, so I don't know if this is ever happened to anybody, but I would not recommend this place, because the Jiffy Lube in Arroyo grande you don't have to worry about hiding or taking your most valuable and expensive things, but at Santa Maria Jiffy Lube, you do, so needless to say Jiffy Lube in Santa Maria is definitely not the place to go read more

This place has competitive prices and usually has a Groupon and/or coupons on their website you can utilize on top of that. The customer service was very friendly. They do not take appointments but I took my car in on my lunch break and had no wait for my car to be looked at. Picked the car up at the end of the work day and they had washed my windows and vacuumed my carpets. I had an oil change and tire rotation. They do recommend other services your vehicle may need so I recommend doing your homework and checking what the manufacturer recommends to compare to their recommendations before you purchase any additional services. read more

I rarely leave reviews but....When I left this Santa Maria jiffylube, my car's dash lit up so I returned and was told it would take awhile for "low tire pressure" light to go off. Also the guy closed the hood on car which he had left open! So I left but the "low tire pressure" light continued so I went back and they checked tire pressure and turned off the dash warning manually. I got back on freeway and had to stop at another jiffylube when the light came back on. They told me one tire was not pumped high enough. I got back on the freeway and light stayed off. I was driving all the way to San Francisco and started noticing that the car was scraping in front even when I went over small bumps on the freeway. When I got to SF I had my own mechanic look and he said the plate underneath needed replacement and it likely it was hanging down even lower due to recent oil change and jiffylube. You would think the jiffylube mechanic might have mentioned this. When I looked under car it was obvious this huge plate was hanging down! That and the tire pressure being off despite them checking it twice and leaving the hood open I think warrants this bad review! read more
