It turns out they left out the oil filter rod during my last oil change, which led to serious engine damage. I'm beyond frustrated. Not only did they fail to do the job properly, but now my engine is ruined. It's clear to me that their mechanics either aren't skilled or there's a lack of proper supervision. I broke down on interstate 80 at 1:30 in the morning headed back to Illinois. Found a local hotel a…read moremile off the highway and stayed the night. I did some research and found that this mechanic shop had great reviews and decided to give them a call in the morning once they opened to figure out what was going on with my van. The Tow truck driver showed up at the hotel to tow my car 15 minutes before the shop opened and advised me that they are always super busy and there is nowhere to even park. He advised that I call first to check and see if they can even get me in. He was nice enough to wait until 8 AM ones they opened and I contacted them and explained my situation. The gentleman was really friendly and welcoming and said that he can "squeeze me in" in between appointments to help me out and get me back on the road. The van was towed to the shop where it was diagnosed. gentleman then explained everything to me that was going on and quoted me a price that was very reasonable. I agreed to do the repair and he ordered the parts fixed the van and I was back on the road within one hour. it couldn't have been a smooth transaction and these guys are down to earth and very good at what they do.
