This is a great place to have your boat worked on. Brought my Tahoe there for buffing and Jared did an excellent job for a very fair price.

DO NOT USE EXTREME MARINE BOAT WORKS / ROB WOODARD (732-620-4258)!!!…read more TLDR: Rob Woodard of Extreme Marine Boat Works, LLC (formerly based in New Jersey, now in the Tampa FL area) stole approximately $1,000 in parts and labor - he lied to me about work done and parts installed. Do not use him under any circumstances. I'll say up front that I realize I should have verified his work before paying, and should not have advanced him cash for labor, but he had worked on various items for me for a year with no issues. Never again... I recently purchased a 2007 Intrepid 377 with triple Verado 275's. The survey found several small items that needed repair and I hired Extreme/Rob to do the work. Among the repairs, it needed a port alternator and fusible link, idler pulleys on all 3 engines, a bilge pump, and a macerator pump. Rob asked me to Venmo him money for the parts and I did (I know, dumb). He then texted me a sob story about not having his wallet and needing gas to get to me and I advanced him some cash for labor to install the parts I had bought (I know, dumber right?). He then no-showed me multiple times and when I called to ask where he was, he told me he was in the middle of a lawsuit and could not support his 4 kids. After multiple no-shows over a few weeks, he told me the engine work had been done and the labor charge was 2 hours. I had been at the house during the time he said the work had been done and never saw anyone at the boat (boat is in a lift in the back yard). I then reviewed my CCTV and no trucks, no people, etc. on any of my 16 cameras the entire day. I pulled the port engine cover and confirmed the old alternator, fusible link, and pulley were still there - no new parts. I told Rob the work was not done like he said it was and he said "my guy told me he did it." In the year he has worked on my boats there has never been a "guy" - it's always just him and his wife. I told him I couldn't trust him and to just return the parts and refund the money, and then he said his "guy" (the one that was never here) damaged the alternator trying to install it. He has since (of course) gone radio silent. He also does not appear to have a business license in Florida. I would never advance someone money for parts and labor, but I also had a year relationship with him, and he had never pulled a stunt like this before. Learn from my stupidity, naïve trust, belief that he was honest, etc. and do not ever use him. And please share with any of our boating forums so this does not happen to anyone else.
