With that said, however, I am writing now about my experience over the last 2 months with Thunder Marine. My wife and I recently moved to Apollo Beach to have water access and the desire to have a boat. We attended two Boat Shows and went back and forth between new and used. We met Seth at the Tampa show and he introduced us to the Nautic Star. We knew we wanted a deck boat but were also considering a pontoon. The Nautic Star looked to meet our needs but we had a lot of questions and a lot of specifics we wanted covered. The staff from ownership to financing and from service to sales all were very patient with us. We committed to a boat that would be transferred to Thunder Marine the day of the St. Pete Boat show since the inventory did not have exactly what we wanted. One of the important factors in buying was that Thunder Marine would do a delivery and a 20 hour service remotely in Apollo Beach. We have no way to trailer it back and forth so this would save us a ton of effort. They scheduled delivery at a convenient time and Seth took us for our sea trial. He went over all the features and made sure both my wife and I were comfortable with everything. There were several manufacture defects we noted and Seth assured us that they would be addressed at the 20 hour service. By May, we had exceeded our 20 hours and were more than satisfied but were still concerned about the warranty issues. However, the service team made sure to work with our schedule and committed to picking up our boat, returning it to Thunder Marine and delivering it back to us after the service and warranty repairs. The decision to do this rather than service at our house was made due to the details of some of the warranty issues - all minor. I was more than impressed at the courtesy of the driver on both the pick up from our house and the return after the repairs. He even met me at the dock to load and unload the boat. When we got it back, all defects were replaced and the service was completed on time. The service department even text me with updates for pick up, the service process and the return. All in all, the entire process and the continued customer service efforts made posting this review an easy decision. We may not be a returning customer for a few years but when we are ready to shop again, I will trust the Thunder Marine team.

Rather then just roll me into a repower they diagnosed all issues, and truthfully came to me heart in hands stating that they'd love to sell me a motor but that they just couldn't for that boat in good faith. Ladies and germs this is truly a remarkable thing in 2016. Keith truly cares. they provided me with proper written estimates, kept in perfect communication at all times and were really just good friendly professional individuals. I ended up returning the vessel to the crook from Craigslist and never went thru with the repower. But the honesty and integrity of Keith and his crew will keep me forever singing their praises. I was more than accommodating bringing it to them again the second time. However this THIRD time they stated "in their professional opinion it's leaking somewhere else causing their install to fail". Well you guys were 100% wrong and just didn't install it decent enough. I paid another company to fix your mess up and guess what....its fixed. Pretty crappy service after you pay them over 13k...I have endless pics and videos of all texts, proof showing where it was specifically leaking.

AAYS contacted me to see if I wanted them to sell it. After awhile I agreed. Signed the contract and my vessel sat in my marina (2 hrs away) for 6 months. On numerous occasions I was told the boat would be picked up only to have them say a couple days later that they never said it was being picked up. When I finally reached the owner, I was told my boat would never sell for the price that they originally told me they would sell it for. A second contract was signed with me having to take less and them receiving the same. The day the boat was finally picked up, the transport guy who works for them, tried to hit me up for a $350 transport fee. When i told him leave the boat where it is, he decided to waive the fee. I was told by AAYS that a transportation fee was not asked for. Long story short, beware. Liars and scammers. I'm sure they will reply with some lame comment but when the person who bought the boat calls me and says they wish they never bought from this company, there must be a problem.
