The nurse offered the man next to be a warm blanket ; he declined but I asked to have his. None was offered to me and none was brought. I had to walk to the rest room dragging my empty iv bag behind me wrapped around my arm. The doctor was helpful and got me a diagnosis and started my road to feeling better. I was very sick and in some pain. The billing department was the highlight of my poor experience. They were never helpful and ignored my questions. Never ever going here again. Being busy does not give you permission to treat your patients without courtesy and respect. Zero stars. My account balance is zero but I had to make so many unnecessary calls just to make them do their jobs.

Despite being booked solid, she got me in for…read morewhat I thought was a stomach issue and she ordered an ultrasound just to see what was going on. That ultrasound revealed a mass on my kidney which was determined to be cancerous. I had the kidney removed before the cancer could spread, and I don't have to have any chemo or radiation treatments. Dr Fink was beyond compassionate during this very terrifying time, and I credit her with saving my life. I've been seeing her for almost 3 years and she is terrific every time.

The worse part is taking a patient from an ambulance and placing him in the emergency waiting room--having him waiting for hours for help. His vertebrate could have been broken or many other issues abrupt do to this very poor judgement (had no medical precaution to immediately place him inside the emergency room). So many persons reacted immediately when I mention JFK Emergency Room. Im from out of town and wasn't quickly aware of the list of Yelps! My hope was that it would not be the case of another negative experience. I sincerely hope Mgmt. truly listens to the list of Yelps. I welcome a call from JFK as my intention is to be more formal on feedback and sincerely assist JFK to move towards making this facility a top class medical unit. The environment was deeply abusive and inappropriate, there were patients with severe dementia on the hall coming into other patient rooms, and there was no actual care. The staff were highly undertrained and unprofessional. The art rooms and gym and all of the facility were not used. We were marched single file to the dining area where the food given was not fit for human consumption. It was very akin to a concentration camp or prison. Staff laughed at people in distress and did not provide them medications. I am deeply shocked after hearing all the positive news about this center. Please bring anyone in need to a better facility. I will be filing formal complaints with the state and county.
