I recently had a very bad experience with Jewelry By Eric. In May, I purchased a tennis bracelet from Eric, a graduation gift for my daughter. To our great dismay, by only the third week of June, the bracelet had already broken twice. On each occasion and for no apparent reason, it broke apart between two of the links. After the first time it broke, I gave Eric the opportunity to repair it. When it broke the second time, I requested a refund--in person, in a phone call and in an email. Eric has wrongfully refused my requests for a refund. And now we are out the good money we paid for the bracelet and left with a broken subpar bracelet that can't be worn. Clearly, the bracelet is defective. For it to have broken two times and within such a short span of time is not normal. It indicates that it is not "fit for its ordinary purpose". NJ recognizes an implied warranty that merchandise sold is fit for its ordinary purpose. Eric has cited that he has a no return policy. He refuses to acknowledge that I am not seeking a return under an ordinary return policy (i.e., because I changed my mind, wrong size or color, etc.), I'm seeking a remedy for defective merchandise he sold me. What kind of business operates like this? In light of the poor way I was treated and the poor quality of the product I purchased, BUYER PLEASE BEWARE of Jewelry By Eric! Stay away! UPDATE: I just learned that Eric is now lying and blaming the defect/damage on my daughter by saying the damage was caused by "customer's use of the bracelet ." Funny, on neither occasion when I brought the broken bracelet back to him for his inspection, did he mention anything about the damage being my daughter's fault. The fact that he is falsely accusing my daughter of being responsible for the damage is appalling and offensive. She is currently a resident/doctor at a top medical institution who knows how to wear and care for fine jewelry. Again, I warn the public: Do Not Shop at Jewelry by Eric! He and his jewelry are not to be trusted. read more

First time fine jewelry buyer here!!!! I walk by Eric's store every day and I'm always tempted by the shiny beautiful things inside! He is a local business owner and family owned! I knew when I was going to make my first jewelry purchase I could go here based on the reviews, my research and his reputation in town. I am SO HAPPY I DID. Eric listened and answered all my questions (there were A LOT), he tried so many options with me because I just wanted the perfect gift and he was so patient and understanding. It was my first time buying mens jewelry and i wanted to get something for every day but also was masculine--i was very out of my element, but was happy i went to someone i could trust. He also was the first jeweler to work with my budget and showed me the best and honest options to get me there. I am so happy I came! I can't wait to go back! read more

This business is a scam. Do not bring jewelry here. He will over charge and not even clean your piece.

I went to Jewelry By Eric to have a custom-made, gold & diamond ring that from Rose City Jewelers & Gemologists in Madison about 17 years ago. Alas, Rose City Jewelers is now closed but, HURRAH! Jewelry By Eric has wonderful, well-deserved reviews. Anyhow, the ring needed re-sizing - made larger. The owner stated it would take about a week but it was ready in just a few days, looking marvelous & brand new. read more

He has beautiful and high quality jewelry, is kind and patient when helping you, goes out of his way to make sure you are happy, does an amazing job in finding what you are looking for or creating it for you and the list goes on. His work is impeccable. I have never walked out of his store without a huge smile on my face. I get complimented on everything I have ever purchases from him. I trust him wholeheartedly and it is obvious he truly cares about his customers regardless of what you are going to him for. I was introduced to Eric by a family friend when I first moved to the area. He very quickly became my go to jeweler for everything. He can take any sketch I have and turn it into jewelry and I'm thankful he was also able to restore one of my old watches to work like it's brand new. Thank you for all that you do! read more

My fiancé had a family heirloom stone that I would be so hesitant to leave with any other jeweler. But I trust Eric because of his level of professionalism. My fiancé and I just returned after 2 years with a previous ring to make a change due to her taste changing. And Eric was extremely reasonable and understanding when we changed out rings and helped us choose a wedding band. Eric is extremely professional, learns about your taste and preference, and only shows you items he knows you will like. He does not push items on you because of a price tag. I have never been more comfortable shopping for jewelry and never trusted a jeweler anymore than I trust Eric. I HIGHLY recommend him for any jewelry purchases for you, your friends, or family. read more

Eric bought an old silver coin from me for an extremely fair price, basically melt value. Check your desk drawers people! This was probably not your typical experience at a jewelry store, I left with more money than I came in with lol. read more

My wife received a post card mailer from this Jewelery store and it just so happened we had a bad experience with our old jeweler,so my wife looked on-line and saw his website and said "we have to try a new jeweler and looks like his has a good selection. Well, we get there and WOW,really nice, loaded beautiful diamonds at great prices. He had high quality colors rated GH (my wife is the pro) couldn't tell you what that means. Only problem is, you need to park at the bank next door or this cranky deli guy comes in and asks if you parked in their parking lot next to the jewelry store. Well worth the 10 second walk from the bank. He did a repair and we bought (I bought/got a Kiss) a beautiful necklace & earring set for a wedding. Very patient guy. You know what they say "Happy wife happy life" read more

I have been going to Eric since he was in Wayne. I'm so glad he is in this location now, no hassle from other vendors trying to deceive you, Eric is the most genuine and thoughtful jeweler I have met. If I want something, he gets it, and trust me, I'm not made of money. He has found me things on low end and high end, for whatever I need and also let me put them on layaway! He has reset the most trivial rings that were a mess from other jewelers and made them perfect, he has matched earrings that I lost one of and made a custom casting of a pendant I lost. He set diamonds into a watch, all these things and more. I trust the quality of his pieces, they're not bought in mass quantity at a low quality. He hand selects pieces and makes them a reflection of himself, which is a credit to his ethics. Get on his email list, he threw his customers a party and it was so much fun. He goes above and beyond for his customers. read more

As good as it gets. From the moment I stepped into this jewelry store I was truly wowed. Not only was the selection of jewelry extensive, but more importantly, Eric was so welcoming. Not once did I feel pressured into making a purchase; But I am glad that I did, because the service was exceptional. I got a beautiful unique piece of jewelry at a fair price (and great quality). All in all, Eric is a reliable and trustworthy jeweler, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. read more

This October my husband and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we went to Jewelry by Eric! He made me a platinum anniversary band with 25 round diamonds for a very reasonable price. He also made another ring using my engagement diamond with 2 smaller diamonds in a 14kt yellow gold setting. THANK YOU, ERIC! They are BOTH georgous, I LOVE THEM BOTH and wear them EVERY DAY!! Yes, I would definately recommend "Jewelry by Eric" to anyone who is looking for QUALITY jewelry at a very affordable price. Eric is professional but also very personable. Eric took his time with us, made good recommendations and is very knowledgeable. He truly cares and wants the best for his clients. His shop is immaculate, has a large variety of rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and watches and if he doesn't have what you are looking for, he will MAKE IT for you. Also, he provided an Appraisal for each ring. Which, by the way, the platinum anniversary band was appraised 2x more than what we paid for it! When our son is ready to get engaged, we will go see Eric. Thanks again, Eric you made us very happy! read more

I went in to sell some silver coins after I called to see if they bought silver. I was told on the phone he paid the price I asked for, 1 dollar under the silver spot price, at the time it was 16.25. When I get there he changes the price to 15,00 dollars, 1,25 under the price I was quotes, I would not do any business here. I don,t use bad words other then not honest.... go some where else for your gold, silver jewelry needs. read more
