Every time I…read morewalk in, the staff is quick to offer a friendly greeting along with their expert level assistance and knowledge. I've mostly worked with Adrian who is a total expert on their wide selection of watches. His knowledge on the style and craftsmanship of all their luxury brands is beyond impressive. I often find myself having a great time just talking with him and learning about the intricate details and history of the different brands they carry. This ultimately resulted in me purchasing a Grand Seiko with the most amazing "snowflake" dial and brilliantly polished metal. I'm in awe every time I wear it. Throughout my visits, I've seen all of the staff eager to help every customer. From walk-ins who just need a simple battery replacement to customers with complex custom jewelry designs, or couples looking for the perfect engagement ring, the staff at Paul Medawar provide the highest level of customer service. If you check out their Facebook page or Instagram account, you can also see the pride they take in their profession. Adrian and Dan often post short watch review videos explaining the history, style, and quality of many timepieces they carry. It's a great way to learn about these pieces in your free time. Shopping at Paul Medawar will leave you with a beautiful, high quality collection, as well as a new found knowledge of the jewelry you will wear for years to come.

I came in with a vintage 1978 Rolex Datejust that has been in the family since original purchase. It needed serious TLC to just be wearable. I was not an established customer, I had no previous experiences with this store. They could have easily said "Sorry, this isn't fixable, but we can sell you a new one." But they didn't brush me off. They took the time (about an hour) to explain what was and was not possible - and why. Ultimately, I just asked David 'What would you do?'. His advice was perfect. Rather than spending thousands of dollars to dramatically alter the watch with new parts etc., he said he could bring it back to wearable condition for the cost of an hour of his time. David did what he said he would do, delivered more than I expected, and I doubt they made a dollar profit from it. This place is the definition of 'class'. My vintage watch is in great shape now and will be worn on special occasions to preserve it for the next generation. In the meantime, I'm in the market for a new daily driver Rolex - and I hope to buy it here.

My wife and I recently visited Jensen Jewelers to purchase an upgrade to her original wedding ring…read moreand band. My wife visited alone the first time to get an idea for what options were available, and get some pricing information. My wife came home with tons of information, and was very impressed with the level of service that she received during the 60+ minutes that she was in the store. The sales person she was dealing with, Jerene, was super helpful, and even communicated promptly through email many times to answer questions my wife had. When she had narrowed down her selection we visited Jensen's together, and talked with Jerene for probably an hour. We talked about how we could incorporate parts of her current ring into the new ring. She discussed stone options, and never tried to push us outside of the budget we had given her to work in. It isn't very often that you go to an establishment these days, where the sales people are looking to do what is best for the customer, and not what is best for their wallets. Jerene was wonderful in making sure that we got the ring that was exactly what we wanted. An amazing experience, thanks to the wonderful service we received during our visits.

They've helped my mother order beautiful custom jewelry and appraise and trade in our inherited family pieces. We went in recently to pick my fiancé's wedding ring, and he had no idea where to start (chronically bad at making decisions)! Isabelle took perfect care of us, made great suggestions, and allowed us to explore their inventory to find the right option. She is deeply knowledgeable, passionate, and patient. We came back a few months later to make a final decision and purchase, and Isabelle had notes about everything we liked, his measurements and favorite style from our original visit! My fiancé was immediately able to make a confident decision, and the purchasing process was easy and turnaround time (with custom engraving) was great. As a bonus, I finally got my engagement ring appraised and fitted so I could insure it and wear with comfort! I live in Chicago, but we will continue to use Preusser exclusively for our jewelry needs.

I do not wear the ring to workout, shower, do dishes, garden, or sleep and do not have a very hands-on job (sit at a computer most of the time). The metal is gold but we were never told of any precautions or concerns with the type of metal or design. We were never told to be cautious with wearing the ring daily or any risks associated with the design of the ring. Since this happened, multiple other professionals have told us the design and quality is poor, there is not enough support or prongs, all of the other diamonds were lose. Additionally, it was voiced by all the professionals we talked to that even with those concerns, what happened should never have after only 9 months and if it did, the fault is on the manufacture. Upon going to address these concerns with Herkner, we were told that the damage is "wear and tear" and they will not cover any repair costs. The associate we talked to said the damage was my fault and I should have known to not wear that ring type so often. She also did not know anything about how to utilize our insurance to cover the cost of repair but warned of the likelihood of our premium increasing so we should just pay the repair cost out of pocket now. We are very displeased with our experience, customer service, and the quality of a VERY expensive ring. I would NOT recommend this business and will be getting my ring repaired and likely redesigned elsewhere. Update to this originally review: We never did receive the information we requested from Herkner. We did get the ring fixed at a different jeweler. We also got the ring re-appraised and it came back significantly different than what Herkner appraised it for (it was adjusted to match the value at the time they completed the appraisal). The new jeweler proved we were not given the quality that we paid for and were guaranteed. It's one of those situations that we could not have predicted but want to share so it limits the people that it happens to moving forward. A shame that a local business scammed us on such a meaningful and special symbol.
