Ordered a pizza for delivery today. Woman on the phone knows us by our account in their system, and we have been ordering from the for six years. She says pizza will be delivered in 30 min. An hour later we call to check on it, and she says "the system" shows the pizza is out for delivery and should be here shortly. Another half hour goes by and we call again. I have been a loyal Jet's Pizza fan for several years and have gotten pizza once a week until Covid-19. A couple of weeks ago we ordered again and were very disappointed to see that the delivery driver did not have a face mask on and stood too close. We ordered again last night and that delivery driver did not have a mask and I asked him what their Covid-19 protocol was for delivery. He said he did not know and did not know where to get a mask. The pizza was delicious. We ordered a Supreme and it was cooked perfectly. For people unfamiliar with Jet's, they make a rectangular shaped pizza with a thick crust. The crust was nice and crispy. Coming from downstate, I love me some Jet's Pizza on a lazy day. It's always fast, hot, and done right. So when my parents came up to visit one night and arrived late, we ordered a pizza thinking we'd get the same experience that I remember from my time there. Our delivery driver called to let me know he'd arrived well faster than the thirty minutes I was quoted -as requested since where I live, the outer doors lock after a certain hour and so nobody can get inside without a key, and I wanted to make sure that he could get in since sometimes it's irregular. That's perfectly fine. But by the time I got down the stairs and to the driver, he'd already decided against waiting for me to get there and left. When I called the store, they apologized and informed me that he'd be right back, since he had more deliveries in the area. Forty minutes later, still no pizza. Finally, an HOUR later, I was on the phone with the store to ask about the situation when I was informed that the driver was "trying" to call but I wasn't answering my phone and that nobody was even around - except I'd had my phone in my hand and could clearly see nobody had been calling me, so somebody was having a little trouble with truthiness. Standing there in the downstairs hallway, waiting by the entrance to my building, I watched several people enter and leave without keys, which was a clear indicator that the doors hadn't been locked yet, so I asked the store - to ask the driver - if he'd even tried coming inside to which he said "yes". Except, when I looked out into the parking lot to see the driver just hanging out in his car, it was clear that he definitely did NOT attempt to enter the building even when it was obviously not yet locked. So, whatever. I paid for my pizza, still tipped well, though I feel like I shouldn't have all things considered, and of course the pizza was ice cold. At this point I was pretty angry - even IF I'd been slow getting downstairs and to the door the first time around, waiting around an hour to guarantee a cold pizza and then lying about trying to deliver it is just stupid and petty. I mean, when I can order a pizza and drive both to and from the store multiple times to pick it up, in the time it takes to deliver it once, that's a big problem. Now, when I first moved to town I ordered from here, and the experience was fine and the food was good. Exactly what I'd come to expect from Jet's. But holy hell, this time was so bad that I needed to say something about it. Order from Jet's Pizza on Garfield using there new text order system and oh by the way this startup is located in Ann Arbor. I ordered a large Jet10 and deep dish bread sticks and boneless wings. It took over an hour and I live probably 10 minutes away. The pizza lacked meat and the deep dish bread sticks we didn't get. Back to the boneless chicken I was told they didn't have any so why didn't it say that online, if I would of known this I could of saved myself a lot time and money. I received a call telling me they didn't have any boneless wings but was offered a replacement and that's where the cinnamon sticks came into play, I said I am not interested in cinnamon stick so I want that taken off my order by refunding me. Bottom line the complete order was messed up to put it nicely. When ask to speak to a manager I was on hold for 10 minutes while the woman on the other end went to tell her side of the story everyone has to be onboard with the same lie. Then going in there we dealt with someone other than the manager who was on the phone whose running the store obviously the employees are because someone in a position like that should of came out and talked with us to see that the order was wrong. That order was made via text so where was the disconnect was it the cell phone company who we sent the text or was it there new (AI) company that they had no problem blaming. Bottom line the customer service there sucked and I will tell you right now my business and everyone I know will not be going back to that store ever again. The pizza at Jet's is top notch and is so sinfully delicious! We recently wanted to have a bunch of Jet's Pizza for a late night "Surprise & Delight" snack at our beach wedding near Elk Rapids, MI. Even though the venue was outside of their normal delivery zone, Jet's delivered our pizzas and saved us having to send someone to pick it up. This is very good pizza! I am a pizza snob and always reluctant to order pizza anywhere outside of the Chicago-land area. The resort I stayed at recommended JETS and so we ordered a couple of pizzas. Several types of crust are available but we went with thin crust topped with veggies, pepperoni and sausage (veggies were very fresh). The delivery was quick and the price was very reasonable. Phone operator was patient despite me taking forever to put in my order due to differing taste buds within our party. XL pizza, 3/4 pepperoni, 1/2 pineapple, 1/4 ham. Large garden salad Breadsticks with double marinara They managed to fulfill the order, even added some bonus bacon. (side note, this was because I asked for canadian bacon. They have only ham, they do not have "Canadian bacon". If you ask for it, you'll get bacon.) I'm from Texas by way of the west coast, so that is what we call it. Only complaint is that they have very few dressing options for their salads. Unless ranch is your bag, buy or make sure you have your own as they have three options. Ranch, Greek, and Italian.
