One place quoted me almost 11 grand and wanted to replace half the roof! Another place "had minimums" and wouldn't take any jobs less than $3500.00! Derek and Danny were able to quickly diagnose the problem and were able to fix the leak for $1600.00. While they were up there they noticed I had a LOT of broken Spanish Tiles and a lot of holes in the Mortar along the Roof line. Derek used 3 buckets of Mortar and sealed every major hole In the Mortar and replaced 19 broken Spanish tiles. Spanish tile roofs are great and can last up to 100 years but only as long as there are no breaches! Every hole in the Mortar and every one of those 19 cracked tiles was a potential leak in the future. They gave me a very fair price for all the work and their bid to completely overhaul the Roof came in on par with what other companies were charging to fix the leak alone. They also do Gutters! The right way! With Solder! I really only asked to have two seams soldered but Danny went around and re-soldered every single seam that was leaking and even patched over a hole in the bottom of one of them. So that's another headache job I can cross off the list. They have many other skills as well including all types of Carpentry and I would trust them to do anything for me that needed doing. Derek and Danny strike me as very honest hard working guys who are trying to build their business by providing quality work for a fair price and by going above and beyond what is expected. As I said. Very happy to have found these guys! I'm getting older now and I needed some Handy guys who will do good work and treat me fairly. know I will have plenty of work for them in the future. Confided to this person about a prior bad experience and used it to his advantage. I see other good reviews but my experience was awful. First on the job he said his guy was sick. Left town for a day I was expecting him to show up. Said he was in Tahoe. I don't care what ethic you are everyone home should be treated the same way. To top it off he spit in my toilet didn't flush. Food droppings on the floor I saw more cans of soda and McDonalds bags than any work being done. Red flags I ignored them because the person seem nice weeks later I'm finding different things that I now how to get fixed. I was beyond understanding with delays on completely too advantage of - Just be careful out there especially for larger job. Do your homework and allow yourself to investigate. I suffer with anxiety I been able to sleep or rest since December. I'm not sure if these contractor realize the damage they cause mentally. If you're not skilled just say so to avoid problems & to keep clients. Honestly is key. lien and sue after falsifying license#. After I shared with him what experience- he used that. He use my neighbor water and told her not tell me. He seem very nice & professional but that changed. Honestly if he could not do the entire job he should have said so. I didn't bother to check his license until the end after the job was over. You can believe him if you like. He was paid 2500 through Zelle to his personal name not business on the contract that same day. Then he said I was the reason he couldn't make his trip. Neither one of these contractor are licensed and are shady. All I'm saying do your homework and then make a decision. I was naive and vulnerable. I think I have learned my lesson. If they are not licensed they can only do 500 Jobs, so be sure to check license # on contract. Some will use others, be careful was under a previous name Gadway's Finest Finishes.
