There is a receptionist here with short, dark hair, that is the reason I will never return and advise others to do the same, unless they would like to have a very poor experience. I have never encountered a receptionist as rude as this person in my entire life. Threw my insurance card back at me after asking who I had insurance with without even looking at it, and asked me again who I was with. Got extremely rude, telling me they do not do direct billing with my insurance (I didn't even ask). I originally had booked with a particular Dr as I heard she was very thorough, they called and changed my appointment to the next day, and did not mention a change in Dr. I would have been fine with this, but I was still under the impression it was with the same doctor as I was not advised otherwise. When I was checking in I said my name, time of appointment, and who it was booked with. The receptionist replied very rudely and told me that my appointment was with Dr___ (I don't remember the names), not that Dr. I got confused, thinking they had me mixed up with someone else, and I responded saying I thought my appointment was with "_____". Well that was a mistake... the receptionist make a very snappy remark and reiterated in a very rude way that they changed my appointment. I told her I was aware my appointment was changed, but was not told it was changed to another Dr. They then rolled their eyes at me in response and basically told me "well it's with this doctor now". If I did not NEED to get an updated prescription I would have left immediately. I would advise your staff to not roll their eyes in response to your clients.. that is of course if you would like to keep any of them. All of the frames offered are very expensive as they are brand name, when I asked if they offered any cheaper frames that weren't branded I felt that they seemed annoyed. Unfortunately I had to come back to pick up my prescription, and although I was acknowledged, I was not served until 2 people that walked in after me were. I do not have a phone, and I was there alone, therefore I was not preoccupied and was actually waiting directly in front of the desk. I did not feel like I could even say I was there first as I felt the receptionist would say something snappy in return. This was not my first visit to an eye doctor and have seen most around town, I recommend going to any of the other ones as I have never encountered receptionists as rude as they have here at any of the others. I ended up buying my glasses and contacts elsewhere.

I have been a customer here for about 15 years, but it is time to move on. I love supporting a…read morelocal business, but dealing with this location is like a full time job in itself, and for the price I am paying for glasses and contacts the service is frankly not acceptable. In the last 2 years, I have ordered contacts from this location about 8-10 times. They never stock my prescription, despite being a frequent and loyal customer (Not a big deal in itself). Of the 8-10 times I have ordered from them, they have only gotten the order correct ONCE. Despite a 2-3 weeks delay on contacts, I usually get falsely called in to pick up my prescription, only to arrive and have staff tell me that there have not been contacts ordered, causing me to wait another 2-3 weeks for another shipment. Once is an accident, 2 is a coincidence, 7 times in utterly ridiculous. Besides that, in the last year since COVID-19 it is near impossible to reach anybody. All businesses are facing major challenges, I have a business myself so I know all about it. But I shouldn't have to call 10 times to get somebody to pick up the phone, especially if that is the only way to order (during COVID) Bottom line, its over priced, and the service is sub par to say the least. I'm not happy about having to go elsewhere, but unfortunately it has become such a chore to purchase here I have been left no choice. On a side note, staff members are usually courteous, friendly, and polite. This review is not a reflection of them, but rather management and/or the systems currently in place.

Out of ALL of them, Vogue Optical on Topsail Road had the absolute best selection of frames, and my husband and I were both able to find amazing frames that we love! On top of that, Vogue Optical had the best prices. They have a 2-for-1 special, and unlike many other optical places, they allowed us to split the 2-for-1, so that I paid for my frames and my husband's were free. Transitions lenses were a flat rate of $75, unlike some places where it was some sort of hard-to-figure formula ammounting to somewhere between $150 and $300 (ridiculous!) My husband & I were able to get a great pair of very stylish glasses each, both with scratch-proof coating and anti-glare, one with transitions lenses for $500 total! We ordered our glasses in a rush, because we need to have them for an upcoming medical exam. The girl who helped us out was honest and realistic when it came to estimating the time it would take, and when they weren't able to make the transitions lenses in time, she offered up a great solution: They actually cut one set of lenses in time for our medical exam, and ordered the transitions lenses on top of that at no extra charge! Great selection, friendly, accomodating sales people who are willing to go above & beyond, excellent prices! I am thrilled with the service I have received, and would recommend Vogue Optical on Topsail Road to ANYONE!
