The interior is in excellent condition and the books inside were almost neatly stacked. A good collection of hardcovers and softcovers today. The Daily Show one was my favorite. I did take some photos of graves that I found interesting and I hope you like also. A lot of these memorials are touching. All in all, the church has done an excellent job in maintaining this place.

This is the final resting place for the founder of Gaffney, S.C. Michael Gaffney and his immediate…read morefamily. This is a lovely spot to remember the man who started this city. A lot of the inscriptions on the headstones are badly worn and difficult to read. There's a couple of benches on site to relax on and contemplate things. Not many people visit here but occasionally a few do. Michael Gaffney was born in Ireland in 1775 and died here September 6, 1854. He was 78 years old at the time of his demise.

Along side of him is his interned wife. There are 228 documented memorials here. The cemetery was in excellent condition and it was obvious that this church is involved with its care. I didn't see any really old tombstones but I'm sure they are there as this is an old cemetery.

Also known as the Davidson Family Cemetery, this is a peaceful spot just down the road and on the…read moreopposite side from the Rural Hill facility. The stone wall that surrounds the cemetery was erected in memory of Major John Davidson, a signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence, May 20th, 1775, and his wife Violet Wilson Davidson and their descendants. Erected by Edward Lee Baxter Davidson. Homestead built 1788 and burned 1886. All of the graves have dates from many years ago. The tall obelisk denotes the final resting place of Robert Davidson, 1769-1853. Next to it, John Davidson, 1735-1832 and Violet Wilson who signed the Resolutions to Committee of Safety in 1776.
