She was so happy she signed a contract right away for interior weeping tiles around the perimeter of the basement and a sump pump. Once they started digging, Brian and his crew found the problem to be more extensive and mom agreed to have the interior weeping tiles go across the floor and the entire basement. We had planned to head over for moral support and the work was well on its way when we arrived. Brian was happy to show us what they were doing and the plan going forward. He explained everything and answered all of our questions and was happy to do so and give us all daily updates throughout the project. He and his crew worked diligently every day and they performed hard labour, the kind that you just don't see any more. They cut the cement floor and dug it out by hand, carrying all the dirt & stone out using buckets and in the heat of the summer. The next day they came back and did it again until it was all out. That's when they started carrying equally heavy buckets of gravel into the basement, as well as heavy bags of cement. Once the brown wall covering started going up we noticed the basement felt drier than it had ever felt before and we were all really happy. Their work ethic was unbelievable. They worked hard physical labour, all they while they were always polite and kind. When confronted with an issue, they used their heads and figured out the best, most appropriate way to rectify it and let us know what they planned. These men went the extra mile on several occasions throughout the 10 day project, volunteering to explain what they were doing and taking time to answering our questions; they neatly rectified a jagged concrete hole in the basement wall; they asked if mom wanted to keep the excess gravel and took the time and care to spread it out so the driveway is evenly graded away from the house and they put some of it at the back door where they thought it would be best used; I had asked about a sump pump with a battery backup and Brian brought one over and explained the difference and let Mom make the decision on which one she wanted, with no pressure, which she really appreciated throughout this project; they suggested an alternate sink option since the base of her existing sink had rotted in her previously damp basement - they hooked up the new one and carried the old one to the curb for her. When they left at the end of the project they picked up every bit of debris in the basement and out into the yard. Now, one might say - oh well that's the way it should be, and I would agree. But I also say, how often in this day and age do you actually get quality and respectful work like that. Each of Brian's crew was respectful of my mom and her property, and me and my husband throughout the project. The proof will be at the first heavy rain but I have to believe that these men did not work that hard for something that would fail. They were all professional, hard working, and respectful well beyond today's standards. I'm so glad we found them to do this work. Huge thanks to Brian and his crew.

I trusted the licensed electrician that they [ Ron Martin's Plumbing and Heating LTD.] sent and left the application with them. It turns out that the electrician lied, and never sent in the application. For the past 16 months I have been over paying for electricity because Ron Martin's Plumbing and Heating LTD. lied to me and told me that they completed a service that they said they did. This has cost me thousands of dollars over the past year and a half. When I finally called NS Power to find out what the issue was, they advised me that they never received the application. I called Ron Martin's Plumbing and Heating LTD. to find out what they could do to rectify their mistake, and they said that they would do absolutely nothing. I am so disappointed in their lack of customer service, and also in their professionalism and commitment to Customer Service Satisfaction. Check out their home page on their website, and they state their dedication to customer service, but they clearly don't care once you have paid them. If you hire Ron Martin's Plumbing and Heating LTD, just make sure you double check their work - they might be lying about completing a service once they have your money. I am SOOO HAPPY I used Tibbett's Electrical for the install of bathroom ventilation, and lighting…read more I had seen their work van around pretty often when I was driving and had always considered them more for bigger jobs and contracts. I needed this electrical work done and the the original electrician that the contractor had booked was not able to come. This was going to hold up the work. I called Tibbett's they were able to send two of their team over the next morning. They came assessed what I needed- they had everything they needed in their truck! They even made a few suggestions to make the outcome better- things I had never thought of-- I was so happy to have their experienced eye to look at my project. Their job was into two parts- they had to arrange to come back after the contractor had done more on his end-- and when I called again to tell them we were ready- they came promptly and were in and out with out any fuss. I was so impressed. As a single woman, dealing with Trades is honestly a bit intimidating. With Tibbett's I felt really taken care of! I felt they knew exactly what to do and I saw how they took care in the details. They cared that it not only worked well, but that it also looked good too.
