He drew up the design, and made adjustments with areas I was concerned with. Gave me options for sizing, and was very helpful when explaining the pros/cons of both sizes. I love this piece and get complements on it every time someone sees it! Healed up nicely and still looks bright over a year later. Reasonably priced for the entire process and what you're getting. Entire time was about 3ish hours. The other artists seemed nice too from the conversations I could hear.

Athena was absolutely amazing with children; my daughter didn't even flinch while getting her ears pierced. We walked in, but they do offer tandem piercing (both ears at the same time) if they have two piercers onsite, so I'd recommend calling ahead if that's important to you. It is definitely pricier than a place like Claire's, but it is worth the cost to avoid the risk of infection and the trauma of forcing a blunt earring through with a gun. They also have much higher-quality titanium and gold jewelry. Just be sure to ask for the price of your jewelry selection if you are budget-conscious. Highly recommended!

Now, I have been up and down all over Fairway Drive back in the day.. so this shop was new to me. When I first walked in... I had to pick my jaw up of their floor. Find something to pierce or tattoo just so you can enjoy the feng shui space they have created. I felt peaceful and with harmony.. I first spoke to Jay. Rad dude! He was tattooing an octopus when I walked in. Then I met Tessa. She helped me find my jewelery and even installed it for me to help me get on my way faster. While here, I got to meet Athena, who's tattoos I have seen in Instagram before coming here, so it was very cool to meet someone I have only seen online. I will be back to pierce something or to get a tattoo by Jay, lol. See you guys soon!

The jewelry sits so perfectly flush with my skin that people genuinely think I glued rhinestones to my face! Rick was incredibly meticulous from start to finish. His precision, patience, and craftsmanship gave me complete confidence throughout the process. Surface piercings can be tricky, so I really appreciated that he never rushed anything. The final result looks flawless, and I've already had so many compliments on them. If you're looking for someone who truly cares about quality and takes pride in their work, I can't recommend Rick and DV8 enough.

My best friend and I decided way back in July that we wanted to get matching tattoos for our…read more30-year friendiversary. But of course, life got busy and we never set a date. Fast forward to Christmas Eve, I text her and said, "Let's go the day after Christmas. No excuses." I searched for a tattoo shop with good reviews and found Lucky Buddha Tattoo. Since it was Christmas Eve night, I couldn't get ahold of anyone (understandably), so we decided to just try our luck the next day. The shop is located off San Juan and Madison, which can be a busy area, but there's parking right out front... huge win. When we walked in, we were greeted by their apprentice, Sophia, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. We explained what we wanted and hoped we could get it done that day. Our original idea was to place the tattoo on the palm area, but Sophia was very transparent about how ink usually doesn't hold well there. She suggested an alternative placement that still worked perfectly with our vision. After discussing the price, we decided to go for it. Luckily, she had availability right then and there. She was so patient, making every tweak and edit we asked for without hesitation or attitude Absolute gem. While she was designing, we hung out up front and got some unexpected puppy therapy! their sweet pit bull wandered over and decided my friend was her chosen human. She jumped right into her lap and chilled, which was especially adorable since my friend is normally scared of big dogs. Instant icebreaker. The entire vibe of the shop was warm, friendly, and chill. The owner even came out and chatted with us for a bit, which just added to the good energy. Once we finalized the design, Sophia got to work. She had a gentle hand, and each tattoo only took about 20 minutes. We walked out beyond happy. the tattoos came out perfect, and the experience was even better. Thank you Sophia, for your awesome work! I'll definitely be coming back for my next one.

It's also a lot closer than the other shop I was used to going to. Fallen Angel is a tattoo shop and the set up inside is gorgeous. I liked how the tattoo stations were set up facing the windows and the clients getting tattoos had movies playing for a nice distraction. There didn't seem like much room, but maybe it was (since I'm not the expert, lol). Everyone looked comfortable! We met Shannon! She walked out with gorgeous long purple & blue hair and a big smile. I instantly loved her personality! After introductions, she went to go sanitize the room so we could all get pierced. One by one and we watched each other all get pierced, Shannon took her time with each of us. We all did something different. My daughter got a floating halo, her grandmother got a flat, I think?? I got the conch. Right before Shannon pierced us, she offered to count down if we wanted. I needed a count down, lol! How funny is my daughter that as I decided on the conch, she whispers the word "ouch" to me before I was pierced, lol! Yeah it hurt, but it also felt great! Shannon was quick with it and handled my ear worth care. Shannon also explain to each of us the process of keeping it clean daily, a few times a day with saline. We all took it like Champs! I am super happy with mine! This is definitely my go-to shop to get pierced from now on!
