We've worked with both Laura and Jess on the selling and buying of our primary residence for several years. We really appreciate the personal touch they bring from the prompt notices, due diligence, to the smaller things like Jess's pie day. They've steered us through some very competitive waters and were very on point with their suggestions, both on the sell side to maximize your return and the buy side to seal the deal. We're really fortunate to have found them through a personal connection and look forward to working with them on future deals. read more

Jess and Laura came highly recommended by a close friend and from our first transaction, they didn't disappoint. They helped us purchase highly competitive home in Pacifica which received 33 offers several years ago and then from that point on, they helped me with 3 more transactions in the past 4 years. I have been more than happy with the outcomes from all 4 transactions-purchased 2 and sold 2 properties-and recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy or sell their properties in the Bay Area. They are knowledgeable, professional and go above and beyond to get the desired outcome. They make moving almost fun because I enjoy working with them so much! read more

We bought our condo with Jess years ago and then turned to him when it was time to sell. We couldn't be happier with both experiences! We wanted to take buying slow, and he absolutely worked with that, even though it's surely more time investment for him. When it came time to sell, he was absolutely the quarterback of the whole process and worked through every detail of staging, helping us find vendors and contractors for minor fixups, and of course the offer process. We got an initial lowball offer with lots of contingencies when the market was softening, and we almost panicked into taking it. But Jess wisely advised us to hold out, do additional open houses, and tweak the staging a tiny bit. Sure enough, we got a much higher offer right after that. Jess is extremely upbeat and optimistic while still being realistic and grounded in facts. This attitude makes a huge difference, as buying and selling are emotional processes, and he kept us from getting down even when we lost an occasional bid or had to hold out for the right offer. I would strongly recommend him to any buyer or seller in SF. read more

My husband and I worked with Jess to sell our existing apartment and purchase our current home. Jess is incredibly accommodating and has great attention to detail. Selling and buying a home is a very overwhelming process, and Jess put us at ease. He was knowledgeable about all the legal paperwork and processes that needed to take place, and represented our interests at all times. He told us what to expect at each step, and we never felt pressured. Jess and his team operate with integrity and have significant depth of experience in Bay Area real estate. We will definitely work with Jess again and recommend him to others. read more

I had a great experience working with Jess as a first-time buyer, with, initially, no idea at all what to expect. His insights helped prevent me from settling for a home I didn't really want just because it was a slow season with few listings -- we discussed what I was looking for and he was pretty sure more homes like that would go on the market closer to spring, which was true! When we did find a home I wanted to go for, Jess worked with me on a strategy in case it got competitive, and we got it! First place I made an offer on. During closing, although we didn't need to talk as much, Jess was there when I did need help and to coordinate the signing. Highly recommend him. read more

In the chaotic jumble that is the current San Francisco housing market, there may be no agent better able to help you navigate the waters and keep a steady hand on the tiller than Jess Williams. My wife and I specifically requested to work with Jess on the tip of a friend in the business, and we were so thankful we did. Jess is not only a seasoned veteran - he has made several valuable professional connections from his years of work in the area and has amassed a wealth of insider knowledge to help guide you through all aspects of a home purchase - from recommendations on neighborhoods to evaluating values; inspections to bidding; all the way through every detail of closing. Our experience couldn't have been better with Jess. He had valuable input at every stage of the game. He put all the trials and stress of home searching in clear perspective, and was there to offer encouragement and support at every turn. For any questions we raised, Jess either had the answer, or put everything aside to find out the answer as thoroughly as he could. My family ended up with a terrific home, perfect for us and it was thanks to Jess for helping us through a difficult market and guiding us to the right spot. read more

Jess is simply THE BEST. He is professional, smart, and experienced, but also has a great sense of humor and is so easy to work with, which made buying a home in San Francisco - usually a stressful experience at best - as easy as possible. I worked with Jess for over 8 months two different deals, and I always felt that Jess worked tirelessly for my best interests. Both deals ended up being complicated, and as a first time buyer, the buying process could have been a nightmare, but I always felt at ease knowing Jess was proactively working to get the deal done. I was especially impressed with Jess's recommendations on negotiating tactics and putting together a creative deal package that worked best for me. I ended up getting my dream home in San Francisco at a steal. I can't recommend Jess enough - in fact I have already referred several friends to him! read more

Jess is an exceptional real estate agent. I tend to be pretty picky and frequently feel like there's always a better option out there, but with Jess I'm completely confident I had the best agent! He's hard working, incredibly knowledgeable, and a wonderful person. I first came to Jess in a state of panic when I was ready to make an offer on a house and my agent at the time wasn't cutting it. Jess agreed to meet me right away, working around my schedule and helped me navigate the process. That house didn't work out, but Jess helped me continue my search in and around the Mission District. He's very helpful and available - I learned so much from him! Jess proved his expertise time and time again. I really came to trust him during the 5 months that we worked together. He not only has an uncanny ability for predicting the sale price of houses, but he's a really warm person who served as an invaluable adviser during this whole process. He knows the market really well and is very connected. Many times I would get glowing reviews for Jess from other real estate agents at open houses. I made several offers with Jess and always felt like we had given it our best shot. He's very thorough and I felt well represented throughout the process. In the end, when one of my offers was accepted (on my dream house that I never thought was possible!) I really felt like Jess' personal touch and connections helped close the deal. I was a bundle of stress through the closing process and Jess was supportive and patient throughout. Overall, I couldn't more highly recommend Jess! I think what makes him so truly unique is that he combines genuinely caring about his clients and finding them the perfect home with also being incredible at his job. He's truly an exceptional real estate agent and person. You'd be lucky to work with him! read more

I wish I could give Jess MORE than 5 stars. He has been my agent both as a buyer and a seller, and I could not have been happier. Jess always had my back, and I always felt that our interests were completely aligned. He is easy-going, professional, and has a great rapport with clients and other agents. He went above-and-beyond for the open houses, having lots of showing, providing beverages and snacks, and making sure everything was just so. He was great about always following up on everything, letting nothing slip through the cracks. His response times were outstanding, and he doesn't cut corners. And although he doesn't wear it on his sleeve, Jess is an expert in the field. His advice always reflected considerable experience, wisdom, and common sense. read more

Jess was recommended by a real estate agent friend and we couldn't have been any happier with the service he provided. Not only was he knowledgeable, organized and smart but he took the time to level set our expectations with the crazy SF market, listened to our frustrations and repetitive questions, and always kept us on an even keel. He never lost his cool, relieved stress with a quick wit and sense of humor and made a himself available to us even when he was on vacation. Our purchase was difficult at best. The seller and her Agent were unresponsive, unprofessional and unethical......but we loved the house so Jess pushed and pulled and made it happen. I am so grateful to have had him as our agent. He exceeded our expectation at every turn kept us sane amid the chaos. read more

Jess came as a recommendation and from the day we met him, he did not disappoint. He started off by sharing detailed statistics on the market and providing an overview of the buying experience in the bay area. With limited inventory, multiple offers and so many neighborhoods to choose from, its critical to have someone that has local knowledge. Jess brings that experience and if you want an honest opinion, Jess is your guy. We tracked various neighborhoods and houses ourselves but Jess was always there to offer his feedback. He also proactively looked in his agent network for us. When we narrowed properties to tour together, we felt like he knew everyone and it was a very pleasant experience. He understood very quickly what we were looking for and definitely saved us time in our search. In the end, we found a house through our own search in the Peninsula but Jess was great during the diligence and negotiation process. He really helped us win after multiple counter offers. I would highly recommend Jess! read more

Jess helped us buy our first apartment in Noe Valley and he was great. We looked for almost 9 months and put in 6 offers before we got our place and Jess was a patient and attentive advisor throughout the process. Our first time working with him we reached out wanting to put an offer in on a place within the next week and had absolutely none of the necessary paperwork, nor did we have a clue where to start. He talked us through process calmly and made it all happen. We really appreciated that Jess remained so objective. He never pressured us to raise our offer just so we'd win but really listened to our pros and cons and then offered us additional things to consider. He helped us think through a variety of issues like whether we should buy a home that needed an entirely new foundation, and even went out of his way to help clarify weird things - like calling the SF Assessors office to understand some strange taxes that showed up on our closing docs. He was always available to meet us to do a walk through of an apartment or to spend time on the phone answering our questions. We would definitely recommend Jess. read more

Jess is amazing! He's infinitely patient, extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. Largely because of his suggestions and persistence I was able to bid & close on my dream property. Don't hesitate -- Jess rocks! read more

Jess has been so incredibly amazing to work with from start to finish. We greatly appreciate transparency and being as honest as possible and Jess was that and so much more. He was so kind, easy to work with, has a lovely personality and great sense of humor. :) Throughout our entire house hunting process, he has gone above and beyond to support us on our search to find our first home. Buying a home as many of you can imagine is an exciting and stressful time to say the least, given that we wanted to find something we would both love and be happy with in the years to come. We wanted a safe, quiet, clean environment midway to both of our work locations where we could grow our family with multiple rooms, and a bonus I really wanted was to have garden for our little dog which we found. Jess was always in our corner reminding us to enjoy the process and told us, when it's "meant to be" we will find the perfect home and we did! Even while we were on vacation and had just submitted our offer, he told us to enjoy our time away and not worry so much because the right home would come to us. I never imagined that we would find our home and purchase it so quickly. I truthfully don't think we would've been successful in our pursuit if it hadn't been for his expertise and amazing skills. We were able to close in only 15 days! Jess was so easy to work with, knowledgeable and was always a text or call away. He invested a great deal of his time working to help us and spent a good deal of time sharing detailed statistics on the market which was so helpful when it came down to putting in our offer. He genuinely cared and that meant so much to us. Everything we did was carefully planned out and it was all thanks to Jess. We always felt like we were in good hands. He never kept us waiting or guessing on anything and was so quick to update us on the next steps throughout our entire process. We 100% recommend working with Jess on purchasing your home!! Thank you so much, Jess! Vito and I are so happy. :D read more

Jess assisted us about 6 months ago with buying our current home. He made the process easy, manageable and was efficient with scheduling everything that had to be done. He knows the sf real estate market, has a calm attitude, but is also meticulous with details that we overlooked- doing a great job dealing with all parties involved in the sale. We appreciated his references that we ended up utilizing and making the home buying process even easier. For anyone who values great customer service, know that Jess really delivers. He is professional in every way -being there for us in the beginning, when we started considering another home, till the end when he handed over the keys to our new home. He was also kind and patient with our children and two dogs-which was icing on the cake! We couldn't be more grateful to Jess, we highly recommend him! read more

We recently found our home in Haight Ashbury in a classic San Francisco Victorian house. We couldn't be happier with our condo! We spent almost a year looking for a home in the area Cole Valley/Haight Ashbury/Inner Sunset/Inner Richmond and we did put in multiple offers. Jess was extremely helpful during this process. When we started looking to purchase a home, we were new to the San Francisco real estate market. Jess patiently explained all the details and nuances and provided us with great professional connections for all aspects needed when purchasing a home i.e. banking, house inspectors, handymen. All of his contacts were great. During the process, Jess always helped us with timely advice and when we wanted to make an offer he was fully on board and guided us to an offer we felt comfortable with. We never felt pressured, instead he provided lots of background data to help us make informed decisions for ourselves. He also went the extra mile and investigated city records for us to make us even more confident in our offer. Jess is friendly, fun, experienced, knowledgeable and extremely service-minded. We highly recommend Jess and his services. read more

Integrity, professionalism, and deep experience are just a few words to describe Jess, Alex, and team based on my recent experience. I have worked with agents before and its always a mix bag, they start strong but something along the way disappoints. My experience with Jess and Alex exceeded all my expectations and established a new standard for agents in the bay area for me and my friends. Jess and Alex helped me sell a multi-million dollar home in San Francisco under unusual pressure and circumstances. We had to move to London in a hurry for work and we only had time to pack the house, and left the keys with them. Jess and team laid out a detailed plan that included everything from recommended movers and storage, a project manager for the move, to the end-to-end remodeling, staging, and marketing of the property. What impressed me the most and showed the level of experience that Jess brings was in negotiating and overseeing all the contracting projects. His rolodex was full of solid contractors, there was absolutely no dollar wasted on unnecessary work, and he knew how to negotiate to get the best outcome. The level of service I received was truly world-class and concierge-like in nature. There was always proper communication and updates, and just a no-fuss approach to solving unexpected problems. I would wake up in my morning UK time and get one email with all the updates, issues, and resolutions. It made our lives and selling the house seem so easy. I was also very touched by how he owned the process as it were his own home. There was personal mail to forwards, communication with family, advise on logistics...I felt like I had a friend on my side who actually knew what he was doing. I am a Marketing executive and I was also thoroughly impressed with the marketing strategy and approach they devised. This was not just your usual multi-channel blitz with social media and daily analytics that they provided, it was all the deep relationship and 1:1 marketing they did through twilight open houses, top-agent networking events and the rest. They even mobilized a famous local architect to do research and give a talk and consultation at the first two open houses. It made a big difference! It goes without saying that I am a client for life. I truly felt taken care of. Jess is not just incredibly capable and well-networked, but he is trustworthy and authentic. This is a very rare combination to find these days. I'm grateful to him and his team for the care they took but more importantly for getting me way above my asking price. read more

We just sold our 1BR and upgraded to a 2BR during the Covid pandemic. Jess made the entire process seamless and was a pleasure to work with. We sold our home for more than we expected and that was entirely due to Jess and his amazing team! This is our second time using Jess for purchasing a home and he will certainly be our agent for any future real estate transactions! He is insightful, prompt, attentive and a nice guy to boot! Jess goes above and beyond the logical limits of his responsibility and steps fully into taking care of his clients - from finding the place they want to move into, to making sure they have everything they need. Jess reviewed disclosure packages with me page by page, at every turn made me feel like he was putting my interests above his own, and answered emails around the clock to make sure I had anything I required - even days after I was already moved in. (My apologizes for reaching out to you when I couldn't work the darn shower, Jess.) Jess understands how stressful moving can be and truly empathizes. It's from this place that he approaches everything. I would recommend Jess to anyone interested in Real Estate in SF, but also I would not make a Real Estate related move without him ever again. I am sorry Jess, but you now will have to deal with me forever. read more

Jess Williams is the perfect agent. He always made us feel as though we were his top priority as he coached us through the entire process. We originally had concerns about our budget and how we would be able to do all the work necessary to get our home ready for sale. Jess provided us with the options and recommendations necessary to fully prepare the condo for the market. He was ultra responsive, even when he was half way around the world. Our condo went for over the asking price well within the tight time frame we gave Jess to work with. Can't recommend Jess Williams highly enough! read more

Jess is a miracle worker! He was always attentive, timely in his response and made me feel like his only client even if I wasn't. He knows the city very well is able to provide great feedback on how to get the slightest competitive edge. As everyone knows, you need every advantage in San Francisco to win the bid. The only regret I have is not working with Jess sooner! read more

Jess helped me get my first home in San Francisco. I couldn't have asked for a better agent. He was patient with me and provided realistic expectations during this market. His comps and estimates were spot on. We originally met to bid on a condo in the Lower Haight. I had decided to go in slightly lower than Jess had suggested. There were multiple offers and the seller decided not to counter any of us. The winning offer was his suggested number... Many months and properties later, we found a home with all the requirements I was looking for. We made a offer and had a quick closing on the property after agreeing on a reasonable number. I highly recommend Jess to anyone looking for a home. He was professional and knowledgeable. read more

Jess helped me sell my condo (which he also helped me buy 5 years ago!). I interviewed several agents and Jess's approachability won me over. I was comfortable being honest about my wants and constraints, and I trusted his expertise without ever feeling intimidated. I was trying to sell a condo that could have benefitted from professional staging but I was very tight on cash. Jess was very flexible and helped me find a designer who was able to reuse some of my furniture. I lived in the condo with my cats, and Jess was very communicative and flexible - he always gave me ample heads up about showing times, and took care of putting away/back the cat furniture - and my cats loved him! Overall, Jess was very professional, communicative, and flexible. He's an expert that doesn't judge you for being a newbie. He provided consistently exellent service both times I used him. I highly recommend him! read more

I just purchased my home in Noe Valley in March 2014 with Jess and was really impressed with his work. Jess was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He is fast and efficient, helping us stay on top of our deadlines (we made something like 6 or 7 offers with Jess). A couple of times when we got close, Jess helped us navigate counter offers and in general we always felt that he gave good advice, but not in a pushy way. And even though I had lived in SF for 6 years, I still found that Jess had a lot of useful input on neighborhoods. We found Jess to be really hard working and he went out of his way to help us, meeting us often very early in the morning to look at properties. The day before we had to bid on a house with no garage, neither my fiance nor I had time to go to the SF planning commission to ask about adding a garage to this particular property and Jess proactively went there for us. That was awesome. Jess has great people skills - he has a great rapport with his clients and other brokers. We highly recommend Jess! read more

We worked with Jess during our last apartment purchase. He was very patient, gave valuable advices and was always very punctual on the deadlines despite a lot of late night work. He was knowledgable, reliable, experienced and very personable. He really took the time to get to know my husband and I and explain us how the market was during our house hunt. It was a relief to work with someone like him during such a stressful time. read more

We couldn't recommend Jess more highly. We have now purchased and sold a place with Jess. He helped us get the best prices we could reasonably expect on both sides of the transaction. He handles as much of the work as a real estate agent can, which limits the amount of time you need to put in as much as possible. He is an absolute pleasure to work with. As more context, we are a busy family with two children. We needed someone who could walk us through the process, answer our questions, and make every step as easy as possible. If you are selling, Jess will have trusted vendors help you get the place ready to look its best: painting, repairs, photographer, and staging (or partial staging). He will meet with all of them for you (but you can join too) and make reasonable recommendations that will maximize value. All you have to do is listen to him and follow his recommendations. We followed everything he suggested and it really paid off. Through Jess's recommendations, our place became gorgeous and we had hundreds of people at our open houses (resulting in several offers). Jess has a great track record of selling homes in a very short amount of time, just ask him for his latest stats. If you are buying, Jess will take a data driven approach and make sure you are spending what you should. He knows the market really well and how it changes day by day. He will walk you through each document you sign, what it means, and what you are committing to (and whether the terms are reasonable given the market). In short, stop looking further and go with Jess. You will be glad you did. read more

My wife and I bought our current house through Jess. He immediately stood out from our previous experience with realtors: he was fun and funny through a stressful process, but also very sharp and exuded competence. His advice was on point and valuable, and he helped us narrow down our search to a manageable range of options, when initially we were all over the place. During the closing process, Jess turned around all of our requests within hours or less, and he used modern technology. He understood that we both work and we didn't want to spend our lives shepherding paper all over the place. It was always a bit of an unpleasant surprise when we were dealing with our mortgage broker (for example) and they weren't as on-the-ball as Jess. Overall: great experience during a time when we badly needed a great experience. read more

Choosing Jess to represent us in the sale of our condo was by far the BEST decision we've made all year. We honestly don't think anyone could have done a better job and cannot recommend him highly enough. We found out firsthand exactly why Jess is consistently rated one of the best in the business and has such an impressive track record: HE GETS THINGS DONE. "Moving is stressful enough. As soon as you hand me the keys, I'll take care of the rest." Believe him when he tells you this. Jess worked with stagers, handymen, inspectors, carpet installers, appliance delivery staff, movers, and cleaners to get our place ready for sale within 4 days of our move-out date. Two weeks later, we had an offer and Jess managed the wrap up process and preparation for the new owners. And having just had newborn twins that summer, we really depended on Jess during this time, as we weren't readily available to manage that process ourselves. All of this was handled by Jess in an amazingly efficient manner. HE DOES HIS RESEARCH. We were impressed by Jess's detailed knowledge of the surrounding properties in our neighborhood. When we referenced different places for sale (past or current), he knew exactly which ones we were talking about, each one's strengths and weaknesses, what it went for, and how it could influence the sale of our property. He is well connected with other top agents around the area, and often has the "inside scoop" on most listings. HE IS HONEST, GENUINE, AND EASY TO WORK WITH. Jess has all the qualities you want and need in an agent. He takes the time to listen to and understand your concerns. His calm, confident, and reassuring demeanor immediately puts you at ease. And indeed, Jess took care of us every step of the way. Prompt communication was one of the things we looked for in an agent, and Jess is a great communicator. He was always available via phone, text, and email, and kept us updated at all times. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, HE IS COMPETENT! Selling your home is stressful and a lot of work. And inevitably, unforeseen challenges will arise that will add even more stress to the process. We had a number of unexpected issues with outside parties that needed to be resolved ASAP. Jess addressed and responded to each one immediately, and was calm, firm, and straightforward with his communications, including supporting documentation or detailed explanations when necessary. (Thankfully, we talked through our history at our property and he made sure we included every piece of relevant information in our disclosure package.) We trusted him completely and knew we were in good hands. We had fairly high expectations when we were searching for a realtor. Jess exceeded all of them. I'm not sure we would have been as prepared and successful with any other agent. Thanks again for everything, Jess - you're amazing! read more

This review should have been here long time ago: Working with Jess is the best treat that we could get in the stressful times of home buying. He's the most professional, informed, efficient and humane at the same time real estate agent that I know off. And I really mean that he cares deeply for his customers and doesn't rush them in their choosing. He respects and gives the space to you and at the same provides container of support, guidance and education you need for the decision making. That's how my partner and me felt. We were the first time home buyers and Jess guided us through the entire process so smoothly without rushing it that I felt we were in the home buying spa the whole time while we were searching and through the closing on our beloved home. He has a great sense of prices, offers, what to expect from the home, where to look for upgrades. He's an expert in the real sense of the word, compassionate to the core, patient and understanding. Jess is the absolute best. We just purchased our second home in San Francisco with Jess and cannot recommend him enough. Jess really takes the time to get to know you and what you are looking for. Throughout the entire process Jess never rushed or pushed us in any way. He is very thoughtful and knows the market extremely well. We purchased our first home 5 years ago with Jess and were so happy to work with him again for our second home. Jess' attention to detail is very helpful in such a competitive market. He has a keen sense of other agents and sellers, and helped us make a winning offer. He handles everything very professionally and makes the entire process as stress-free as possible. Coming into the SF market as a first-time condo buyer was difficult, however Jess came in with insight and intuition to make the search as easy as possible. Checking in often and working around my schedule to meet at properties was the norm. The times where I was on the fence in putting in an offer on certain properties, Jess gave me the opportunity, up until the last second, to make a final decision without any undue pressure. I ended up coming close, but passing on putting an offer in on all prior properties. He really wanted to make sure that I ended up in the "right" property. In the end, we located a condo that fit me perfectly and we ended up winning my first ever offer! Closing was made simple by Jess' coordination between escrow, home loan, etc. and streamlining the process. Overall Jess was simply fantastic to work with! read more
