They raked the first layer and put it in bags and hauled them away, put antimicrobial fogger, lime was distributed throughout the whole basement and the old 12 foot sewer pipe (that was left behind by the contractors that replaced the pipe) was cut into pieces and hauled away. They came and did a great job and one of the best parts was they could not have been nicer. It was a big foul smelling mess and they cleaned it up and restored it. So I chose Powerpro Carpet Cleaning and I couldn't be happier with the result. Firstly I must mention that Rich who came to do the job was courteous and very thorough and took NO shortcuts, after he was finished my carpet looked almost brand new and that's quite an accomplishment with 15 year old carpet that had never been cleaned before. I would tell you that if you hire him to do the job you won't be disappointed! You'll really like the result. From now on I'll never use any one else. ADDENDUM: After waiting overnight so the carpet had time to dry and then vacuuming the carpet as they suggested it looks even better as they said it would. If you need your carpet cleaned (and who doesn't) these are the only people I would honestly recommend and trust.

I was very pleased with the service and the reason for choosing them again. The second time using this company was absolutely horrible. I will never use this company again. I'd like to begin by saying I initially chose this company because I like to support local businesses. I wanted to use this company other than a commercial Stanley Steemer, etc. When the van pulled into my driveway, the first thing out of the man's mouth was a complaint about how he didn't see the house number on my mailbox. He shouted to me, "The house next to yours is (#). You didn't even acknowledge that I drove by!" ...Well, hello to you too and I'm sorry you were totally oblivious to the big black numbers on my mailbox. I had two area rugs that needed cleaning. The men proceed to drag the hose through my kitchen without proper placement of corner protectors. There goes the paint off my baseboards.... One area rug had a table on it that needed to be moved. The two men failed to move the table and clean underneath the rug. How do I know this? Well, upon leaving my house the man explained that it takes approximately four hours for the carpet to dry (especially since it's wool). I ran my hand on the carpet under the table it was bone dry. I called and complained to a manager/supervisor and now he's explaining to me that the carpet dries in TEN MINUTES!!!! Well, happy birthday to me because apparently I was born yesterday. A wool 10x12 carpet drying in ten minutes!!! Imagine that. Last but not least a 20% redemption coupon was not honored. I called several days prior to setting up the appointment. I spoke to a woman who explained that if I spend $150 on services I will get 20% off services. So I reiterated back to her, "Since I'm getting two area rugs cleaned for a total cost of $150 (plus tax) the total cost after the 20% redemption code should be approximately $120, correct?" She answered, "Correct." Do not use this company. Complete rip off. Horrible experience. I will take my business elsewhere.

The price as originally intended for the 3 bedrooms and stairs with all the add ons they recommended was over $500 - which was a bit pricey for me - since my room and the stairs werent really that bad I asked for an estimate on only the girls rooms. They came back with $225 plus about another $200 in add on's I told them the basic cleaning would be ok for now I was told to call and make an appointment. When I called Joann answered and told me "We don't do that and can't help you" and I asked her what don't you do clean carpets ?- she said she isn't going to go into detail but they don't do that --- I am still scratching my head as to what she meant- either they don't clean carpets or they won't clean mine because I didn't want to pay for the additional services or if they refused to honor the estimate they gave me (which is essentially what they did by turning away my business) I did call Stanley steamer who, with all the bells and whistles with all 3 rooms and the carpet was still under $500 and they were great

The tenants from hell finally moved out. The place is disgusting. Everything is grimy and gross, the walls are full of holes, and until this afternoon, the carpet was filthy, stained, and reeked of dog urine. Needless to say, those slobs won't be getting much (if any) security money returned to them. Last week, I called Sears Carpet and Upholstery Care and made an appointment for today to have the carpet cleaned and deodorized. Phil and Jerry left about an hour ago. Those two are miracle workers! What a difference. First, they treated the carpet with something that removes pet odors, then they steamed the filth away. Now the carpet looks and smells like I never had bad tenants! If you live in Central New Jersey and need your carpets cleaned, call Sears Carpet and Upholstery Care and request Phil and Jerry. They're simply nice guys that are professional, friendly, and most importantly, they do a good job. Unlike certain other carpet cleaning businesses, (I'm talking to you, Stanley Steamer) these guys don't pester you to buy add-on services that you don't need. The job is done at a reasonable price and it takes less than an hour if you have a small 600 sq ft apartment like mine. I don't know where this company's "home base" is, but I'm assuming it's in Monmouth or Middlesex County. If anyone can provide more information about location, hours, and/or website, be my guest.
