I postponed going because I don't like being touched by strangers. The front desk staff, Dawn and Nicole, were helpful and able to fit me in right away. I explained my issue with being touch to my therapist, Monica Kumar. She was so understanding and willing to work around whatever we had to in order to make me feel comfortable. Well, within minutes I was so comfortable, she had me chatting away while she worked on my leg and asked questions about the fall, how I had been getting around and what movement hurt. Monica explains every exercise we do, she explains not only how to do the exercise but also what area it is working and how it will help. Lol, Monica definitely has eyes in the back of her head and watches closely if I'm doing the exercise properly even when she's not right next to me. I have observed the rest of the staff using this same care and attention to their patients, all while constantly cleaning and wiping down tables and equipment. I am no longer hesitant to go to physical therapy and will continue to call on Monica any time I feel the need.

All I can say is I am so happy we choose Kessler in EB. His therapist is Greg Zuniga. I can not say enough good things about Greg. After 10 sessions he has my son up and trying to walk again. Dr. Spano comes across nice and caring but it looks like he's got his hands full and is taking on more patients without having the bandwidth for it. There's miscommunication going on between dr. and staff and they don't tell you details so you don't know when they are making mistakes. I caught one in my second session and they corrected it which is crazy that i had to watch out for what treatment is given to me. The facility setup itself is like walking in a fish market with tables in an open area and people getting care without any privacy and you are just directed by his staff to move around to get your next treatment. The staff expect you to call them and trying to do multiple things and handling multiple patients at the same time. Too much multi-tasking IMO for doing treatment and making someone feel better. I don't know how there are 5 star reviews on google for this place - its super misleading. Dr. Spano is good but he can't handle all patients and so when the care goes into the hands of his staff - you can expect things to get messed up and done to you without you really needing it. Before even analyzing any xrays - they started treatment for me. The treatment was not very clear and the PT and doctors in their practice just did the things without explaining what they are trying to do and why. Its also my mistake to not have asked more questions and i trusted the recommendation of the physiatrist i saw which was wrong.

I wanted to be mindful of her time, and asked for guidance on how to do the exercises myself - but she insisted on staying on the call while I did all my repetitions, making sure I was keeping correct posture as well as not slacking off! She also looked over my desk setup and recommended changes to my workstation (I spend 10hrs a day in front of a laptop) to ensure I was set up correctly to avoid injuries in the future. She followed up with me for a week to make sure I was doing my exercises and to check up on my condition. Its hard to find doctors these days who have that sort of patience and caring.
