So we did a door dash the other day and the accidentally cut my grinder like alot. And I ordered the giant Philly and it was cut 4 times. Ohh noo so they gave me a hole other grinder regular size to make up for it. I visited Jersey Mike's for the first time yesterday. I ordered online to pick up in store. I got there knowing I was a bit early, but even though I had waited nearly 10 minutes before going in, I still had to wait another 10 minutes for my sandwich. No one acknowledged me for the first 2 minutes I was there. Not very friendly service, except for the girl who finally acknowledged me. As for my sandwich...I ordered a chicken bacon ranch. It wasn't good at all. I ate half(a 6" sandwich) and gave the rest to the chickens over by Kohl's. The chicken didn't taste like real chicken. The ranch was the best thing on the sandwich. I probably won't be back. I'll stick with the Sandwich Spot. read more

This place has one of the worst customer services in Yuba City. Ordering a sub is chore the customer has to put up with. First the music is too loud when the people preparing your sub have to keep repeating your order. Second, I only had a mini sub to order. Had to stand in line as other customers could not or did not know what to put on their subs. It is on the menu boards displayed what is included. Third, Staff should only put on the subs what is on the menu boards. Fourth, People in line ordering large orders. Should be done online as I seen other people coming in to pick large orders while waiting for my one mini sub to be made. I know the staff is on the clock, but the customer is not. Sandwich was good to eat and there are other items to order to eat and drink with your sub. read more

I used my phone to mobile app an order at this location. After waiting around 15 minutes in my car, I got a text stating that the order was ready. Not knowing how it worked at this location, I walked up to the counter and asked about it. The young girl at the register, wide-eyed and confused, looked around helplessly, trying to assist (it was busy). But the apparent manager literally stepped in front of her and barked, "When your order is ready, it will be over there!" and pointed to the tables near the window. I felt scolded and a little angry, but it was busy, so I gave him some slack. I sat and waited, noting that the line of in-person customers was moving through in a steady stream. No waiting for them! But mobile/call-in customers were just waiting...and waiting... Just then, the cashier called out, "Order for Jennifer!" right when a different young woman had walked in to the location. The woman looked up, and walked to the counter (I think I safely assumed her name was Jennifer). The woman talked to the cashier for only a moment before the manager again stepped in and barked (near-yelled) at her, "Stop trying to confuse my employees!!!" The young woman, clearly surprised, stepped back and went to wait at a table, with the rest of us ignored mobile customers. Turns out, the order was for a *different* Jennifer. With apologies to this Jennifer, I then proceeded to lose it a little... This idiot manager was yelling at customers when *HIS STAFF* had called out her name. None of the staff was taking ownership of the mistake (likely because they're afraid of the guy), and I couldn't take it. I said (loudly), "Oh HELL, no! You are NOT going to yell at a customer for your staff's error - and in front of other customers??" I then proceeded to get in line. When he looked up at me, I said, "Apparently, if you stand in line and order here you actually GET your food. If you order beforehand, they just make it whenever they feel like it." And a guy next to me, who had just gone through the line looked at me and said, "I came in after you, and just got my food. How many did you order?" "Two hot subs," I replied. "Um...me too..." he said, and shrugged. So - in short: Not only is the manager a complete misogynistic pig (didn't see him barking at any men in there...), but he doesn't have the first clue about properly expediting orders or managing restaurant staff. 1) Your grill cook needs help. Period. She was overwhelmed and didn't know which hot orders to prepare first. As a consequence, she was preparing all the slips handed to her in real-time, by you - but NOT preparing orders coming in via the phone or internet. This resulted in all the in-person customers getting their food immediately, and the online customers waiting. I waited for 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches. In-person customers waited for about a total of 15-20 minutes from being in line to getting their orders. 2) You standing there slicing meat isn't helping anybody. Seriously. Your male sandwich maker could've done that and started building the sandwiches, if you'd been using your cashier correctly (see #3) 3) The cashier shouldn't just be standing there until she has to process payments. She could be finishing and wrapping the sandwiches, then ringing people up. 4) Managers typically expedite orders and make sure staff is keeping it going. As I noted, you were kissing up to customers (briefly, before barking at others, "Hey you two! Can I take your order? *disingenuous smile*), rather than keeping that poor grill cook out of the damn weeds. Lastly, and perhaps worst of all, the sandwiches I received were - kind of gross. They were super bland and the "chicken" had a weird texture. Both were pretty 'wet' and overall just unappetizing. Obviously, I'll never go back to this store - and maybe never to another Jersey Mike's. The atmosphere was poisonous and their food reflects that. So although food is great, their manager is horrible. I feel sorry for the employees who work for this rude and disrespectful individual. He accused me of confusing "his" employees when the cashier called out my name that my order was ready - turns out it was a telephone order not my mobile order. I am always calm and understanding in messed up situations, but yelling and accusing me because of your (manager's) own shortfalls is just not tolerated. Even another innocent bystander customer was appalled that this manager spoke to me (customer) in this way. The sweet cashier personally did bring me my order when it was ready though. I've heard complaints of this manager, but never witnessed it myself until now. I've even noticed employees are different all the time -- high turnaround rate, right? Normally I would rate this place at 5 stars. Sandwiches are delicious and packed with meat, cheese and flavor. Today I ordered 2 sandwiches -a Italian sub and a California club. My husband loves his Italian sub and he loves mayonnaise so I ordered his with extra. I hate mayonnaise and ordered mine without. Well they did it backwards and my sandwich was swimming in mayo. I had to take it apart and literally wash all the peppers, tomatoes and bacon off. I had to scrape all the avocado and relish off because it was mashed up with the mayo. So I ended up with a bare sandwich of bread and meat and some soggy tomatoes. So disappointed. I went back and looked at my online order and it was definitely their mistake. UPDATE:Gave then a second chance. 4 out of 5 sandwiches were good. They still couldn't follow orders though and messed up on my very pickups husbands sandwich. leaving him lunch less. The sandwiches were not made as requested and drenched in oil and vinegar. I mean sopping with fluid. We ate them as soon as we got home, a very short drive. They were sooo soggy. We requested a plain sandwicheven specifically said no mayo. Of course it still had mayo on it. $50 in sandwiches and nobody was thrilled or impressed. This spot used to be my husbands I's go to sandwich spot...(about 2.5 years ago it was SO good!) but we stopped going because we out of the blue kept receiving sandwiches that were wrong or switched (his specifications on my sandwich and my extras on his). Tonight we decided to give it a go! Haven't eaten there in almost a year. But every time we do it we're reminded why we stopped. Tonight I walked in @ 7pm. No one greeted me. Someone sweeping just continued to sweep near my feet as though I wasn't even standing there. I know they have closing duties...but you can't say excuse me? A very unprofessional vibe. I could hear them talking about how much work they still have to do before close. They seemed almost annoyed that I walked in even tho they didn't close for another hour and half. I got home and again, my husbands and I's sandwiches were switched. I got bacon on mine even tho we added it to his. And he asked for no tomato's or onions, and mine was the one without. So yeah. I'm disappointed. The food, the produce, everything is in THEORY very good. But the execution, lack of effort and professionalism is why I'm giving this place 2 stars and will just go to bel air for a sandwich next time. read more

Best Sandwiches, made with fresh quality ingredients. These are the closest thing to my mother in-laws famous sub sandwich that she use to make, back in the day, the ingredients melted in your mouth. Get extra napkins because they make sure to give you a lot of meats,cheese and toppings. You definitely get what you pay for. read more

UPDATE: I've just read the reviews of this event, by the ladies involved. I received a call-back, first thing, Monday; I was asked, maybe, to come in and discuss it. (Does corporate dislike women, as well? Is that the corporate culture?) And, why wasn't the owner/manager/jerk wearing a mask? Required by the governor, but too whimpy for "a real, manly man?" Saturday, 6/20, 2020, I was one of a bunch of customers, in line. The owner--scruffy, late-fifties jerk--was (literally) yelling at, and physically intimidating, lone female customers who asked questions("Hi. I got a txt that says, my order is ready." "WHEN your order's READY, it'll be OVER THERE, on the TABLE!!!" [SHOOING MOTION & JABBING FINGER]). Any male who spoke("Hey!") made the owner act like a scolded child--sulky, backed off quickly. HE GOT INTO THE FACE OF A YOUNG WOMAN--leaned across the counter and screamed like an angry football coach--who was absolutely stunned, incredulous, eyes wide. His female employees, terrified of him, did nothing. The young guy just couldn't care what was happening--he wasn't a woman. When the older woman(35-ish, very well spoken) saw that, said loudly and clearly, like a professor, "Oh, hell, no!" and ripped into the guy kinda politely. He tucked tail. The only problem: About fourteen online-app orders had been IGNORED for almost an hour; walk-ins were getting their food within five minutes. This guy is both a sadistic misogynist and a bully. It is a shame that the cold sandwiches are so basic and, frankly, not good. The hot sandwiches though, they are very good. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and had it "Mike's way" (a lot of hype by the employees, not much added in the flavor department) and it was bland and boring. My husband ordered a Famous Philly and it was really good. There was way more flavor and the cheese was so melty and delicious. Pretty sad. When I first walked in they were all in back socializing, not even paying attention. I could hear them talk about what they're going to do after work. I decided to use the bathroom to wash up, it was kind of dirty and smelly. I really didn't want to touch anything in the entire place, it did not look like it had been wiped down in a while. I ordered the Big Kahuna which has the extra peppers, jalapeños and extra cheese. I asked for a regular amount of cheese not the extra cheese. I actually got NO cheese. (Update I found the slight bit of cheese half way through). While he was making my sandwich he kept asking the other gal what W with a circle meant. She said white he said he gave several people wheat. I hope he is New. My total was $12.74, I gave her $13 and she gave me a dollar and the change back. I had to explain to her that I gave her two fives and three ones, and her drawer was going to be short. She took the dollar back but still wasn't sure about what I was talking about. I got my self-serve drink on the counter that hadn't been wiped down and the straws and the lids are just sitting there for everyone to touch. That is not a Covid procedure. Pretty sad!
