Walked in this location at 530 pm on a Friday and they were open and not busy. I ordered #56 and an italian sub. The workers were very friendly. The restaurant looked clean. This was the first time I ordered from this place and I will be back. I found the #56 steak and cheese with grilled mushrooms, onions, peppers and jalapeños to be very tasty. Solid Jersey Mike's location in Woodhaven. I've never had any issues with service or order accuracy here, and the team is fast and friendly. I highly recommend joining the rewards app for deals and a get free birthday sub + drink. My favorites here are the steak & cheese, turkey and roast beef, and Italian. Very DISAPPOINTED over and over. Every time there is something wrong. This time I ordered the #13 in Rosemary Parmesan bread online. Guess I should have opened it up before I left. It is in just regular bread. I called and was told they ran out of that bread. Well how about a heads up? There's always some excuse. I hated the Taylor location so I switched to Woodhaven. Stopped in yesterday. Ordered the Italian, regular size, "mikes way" (lettuce, tomato, onion, spices, vinegar/oil). First off, the place smells amazing. Must be a combination of all meats/bread/veggies. The meat for the sandwiches are cut to order! Fresh veggies! Fresh bread! The young man built the sandwich perfectly aligned so it ate very well. The only thing I would note is that what I ordered was a lot of meat. That's not a complaint! But as I get older I prefer less meat and more veggies. Will be back for sure! So long story short, I used to work at jersey mikes. The one in canton and it did great!!! I came across another job that bettered me and my girls at home so I left! When I sent my wife to the one on Allen road, I told her my specific order and the man taking her order told her that's not right it has to be made a certain way... NO IT DOESNT!!!! She had a hard time ordering in general and was given a hard time!!! I didn't believe it... I thought they were all the same and did their full job expected, even when their boss wasn't there... but I guess the big man wasn't in and she felt insulted. I will never go back even though I was owed half my GIANT sub when they gave her the half sub. I used to tell every single person I knew trying to go to ANY other sub place to go here because of the amount of meat and maturity they show but I was shown the complete opposite! I never went and retrieved my sub because of my 2 year old and work because my schedule didn't meet up with theirs... We were SUPER excited to come here... at least I was, but I talked my wife into going somewhere I wanted for once and it went through, we were both disappointed! We received a couple coupons in the mail on Wednesday for this place and the free sub coupon was to expire in 5 days , so we decided to try the place. They have a Gluten Free bun available ( which if you read my reviews you know my wife eats Gluten Free). So off we went!!! She decided to get the #9 Club Supreme and I got the #13 Original Italian . Hers with a gluten free bun of course. So just like Culver's Burgers they ask you " is the bun a personal preference or an allergy issue. " Which always makes me laugh, but they must be told to ask. My reply was "Really???? there is no way that bun is anybody's personal preference. Have you ever tried one?" Now there was about 5 or 6 what looked like high school kids standing behind the counter looking at me dumbfounded. They all shook there heads no. I said allergy. So one of them scurries off to the back to make this sandwich in what I picture is a completely sterile sealed off pressurized contamination-free room. Now mine is made right there in front of me with all the fixings laid out to choose from. I got mine Mike's way as did my wife. The staff was very friendly and made my visit enjoyable I guess. The subs were very good, we had had Them before from the Taylor location , I think this time was better we both had cold subs. The last time they were hot subs and they didn't hold up on the ride home. But that is expected I would say. I feel these cold subs are no better than the competition , meaning Jersey Giants or Jimmy Johns. I do have a favorite at both places so depending on what I'm feeling is where I go. Maybe I'll find a favorite here. My wife said the Gluten Free bun was decent so that's a good thing it gives her another option. First I live In Windsor Ontario about 25 miles from this location, It is also my Birthday on November 01 I received a Jersey Mikes Birthday sub but for some weird reason the coupon would not load. The 2 employees and I'm sorry I did not get their names looked at my phone and said No problem what would you like. (i think her name is Cheryl) 01/11/2019-7pm). Their Steak and Cheese sub is amazing. I would give five stars for the food. The problem is it took 40 minutes to get my food today, which makes this not fast food. I was fourth in line. I was also behind a family who had a gluten allergy so everyone that was behind them had to pay the price in terms of time while all the equipment got wiped down. I applaud Jersey Mike's for offering gluten-free options but there needs to be a better way to provide that food without making all the other customers suffer. This was not the only reason that it took 40 minutes. It was just slow service in general. Maybe they are still too new and haven't gotten the experience necessary to prepare the food as fast as it could be prepared. Hopefully they find their rhythm and that changes over time because the Steak and Cheese sub is one of the best I've had ever. Tip: if you like mushrooms, just order the Big Kahuna (instead of the regular steak and cheese), which will also give you extra cheese and you can subtract the jalapenos and peppers if you wish. It costs just a few cents more and you get a lot more out of it. read more
