Had a great to-go order experience today at Jersey Mike's in Silverton. Usually, I prefer going to a local deli for subs but I always make an exception for the Jersey Mike's roast beef. Besides, he was a local guy from this area to start with. I got a #6 Famous Roast Beef & Provolone and added bacon because why the heck not. Treat yo'self. Jersey Mike's roast beef is the perfect amount of pink and today was no exception. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that it's cooked and trimmed in store. Let me first start by saying this is a fast food sub shop..definitely a notch above Subway. With that said, after reading the reviews I walked in with low expectations but to my surprise everything went great. The workers were chipper and very helpful. They seemed to enjoy being at the location. I ordered a Giant sun, chips and a drink and ate on location. Place has a great vibe and is very clean. I was in here last night, and I'm happy to report that the place is still a dump, and that the staff is still unprofessional. On my two subs, totalling $26 and change, each had barely a quarter inch of meat on them, and one was salted enough to kill off a fresh water lake. More galling was the cashier, who, while trying to walk me through the process of swiping my card, added in the step, "Now, select your tip." A screen comes up after passing your card through which offers only 10%, 20%, and 25% options, which I will add are based on the after tax total. I asked if he was paid $2.13 an hour like a server, to which he replied no. When I then inquired why I should be forced into this choice, his answer was, "In case people don't have cash." Nevermind that they don't serve or bus, or that they make a very stingily built sandwich in seconds, and get paid a reasonable wage for doing it. I don't get it, and I said as much. I hit the 10% button, feeling shamed into it, took my sandwiches, and left. As I was walking out the door, he and his coworker started laughing loudly, with the cashier adding, "That guy is crazy!" Am I crazy? I don't think so. What I do think is that nonsense like that makes people who actually work for tips suffer, by means of making those they serve resentful. Also, as the product here is just clear of awful by about the margin of the quantity of meat they put on their sandwiches, I think I'll be forgoing any future visits to this location. read more

I'm not sure why but this place has gone downhill. Every time, without fail, the bread is stale. Tonight we had to throw out our sandwiches. They leave their bread out in the open, which is not very smart. We've been longtime patrons but are over the bread we can't even bite through. read more

So my family has lived in TR for over 15 years. We have been Jersey Mike fans for the longest time. But that all changed today. First, we purchased 3 giant subs. Apparently a coupon which was sent to us not too long ago had expired and we were not allowed to use it. I told the cashier how we have been coming for years and would appreciate it if they would accept it. She was kind enough to "go in the back and ask the owner". The owner was unwilling to accept the coupon. Fine. But I won't be coming back. And to the owner, here's a little business lesson. A customer like my family has large Customer Lifetime Value (suggest you read up on it). We purchase a lot when we visit your stores. We tell our friends about your establishments. We're on social media. We go to your stores throughout years. The point is, you want to retain guests like us. And sometimes that even means taking special care of customers like my family. Even accepting a lousy expired coupon. But you won't and so I'll be taking my business to wawa- hope that extra few dollars was worth it to you. read more

I have been going to Jersey Mike's since it was a stand alone store on Arnold Ave in Point Beach. The quality of their roast beef and their Italian subs and tuna were second to none. However, the cost of a sub there these days is not worth it and it annoys me how they grab for every penny they can. The example I would like to use is they have roastbeef and cheese on their menu. I order it without cheese and they still charge full price. On the other hand I ordered a tuna sub with provolone and that sub cost me more than the roast beef. I reached out to Jersey Mike's and never received a call back. Jersey Mike's also used to offer cold cuts by the pound which I would buy on occasion. Now they no longer do that either. Jersey Mike's used to be amazing. Aside from noticing the high cost of the subs, they are definitely becoming more skimpy as a whole. Their coupon they offer in the Valuepacks are Buy 2 get 1 for $3.99. Believe me, you will walk out of the store wondering if they actually applied that coupon to the cost you just paid for 3 subs. They were great but the cost to go there does not make it worth setting foot in there any more. Jersey Mike's is a ripoff, plainly and simply these days. read more

I've always had a good experience with this place and Jersey Mike's subs are the best. Friendly and professional staff. Always made the subs fast, and they always had plenty of meat and fresh veggies. I've never had any skimpy subs like other people have reported. The subs here are the same quality of subs I've experienced in other parts of NJ and even CA. When you want a sub, this is the place to go. read more

Well, when I first went there when they just opened, I was happy good sub. Went back again after a few weeks got a sub with very little meat on it. Went back yesterday and got a Philly cheese steak and asked them to hold the peppers. Also, got a ham, swiss, lettuce, tomatoe sub. Brought it back to work to eat and my cheese steak had pepper. Got back in car and wasted time during my lunch hour to fix their mistake. Once I returned my co worker was not happy with his ham and swiss. There was very little meat on it and they forgot the tomatoes on his..I am also not happy that there was not one female employee spotted any of the times I was there.. Discrimination to the fullest. I have been to other Jersey Mike's locations and very much liked them. So we went to give this one a try. The staff was kind of distracted. It took a bit to get our food and we were pretty much ignored until we made it clear we wanted to order and we were again ignored until given our food. They have gotten my order wrong 9 out of the last 10 times. My order is literally a regular chipotle chicken cheesesteak every time.

Stopped in for dinner yesterday. The food wasn't terrible and the place seemed in ok shape however something that really annoyed me was when I went to pay with my credit card the kids started walking me through the payment machine and the first thing he tells me and this is where you leave a tip. Tip options are 10, 15, or 20%. I know for a fact these kids are not making server's wages. I only ever tip at a counter for exceptional service which is rare and which I definitely did not receive yesterday. These kids aren't serving me my food , they are not bussing the tables , it's the equivalent of me going into Wawa and tipping them to make my sandwich which you don't do. And for them to have the audacity to ask for the tip especially before my food is even done being made is absolutely ridiculous. you end up feeling almost bullied into doing it. I don't really blame the kids for this though because they're trying to take advantage of the situation knowing more people are going to tip if they bring it up. I blame Jersey Mike's for having that set up on the credit card machine. Instead they should only have a tip jar like other places and if you actually give me exceptional service then yes I might throw some extra money in. However for the price of what I paid for two subs , minimal amount of service , and the fact that they pressure you into leaving a tip I will definitely not be going back to any Jersey Mike's any time. There are more than enough sub shops, Wawa's and Quik Checks in the area. So Jersey Mikes I hope that extra 10% that I was forced to give your employee was worth you losing a customer for good... actually two because my friend after seeing that also swore he would never again go there. read more

I've been a Jersey Mikes customer since 1960 starting at the original store in Pt. Pleasant. Now they seem to be growing to fast and hiring "kids" that give a damn about what made these subs legendary. Today I visited the new store on Rt. 37 near Kohls and the bread was almost stale. I don't think their products turn over fast enough at this location and the bread sits too long and the workers (kids) don't have the sense to realize they should "rotate" or discard bread that sits too long read more

Great Subs, great service, friendly atmosphere. Me and my fellow workers agree that the subs at Jersey Mike's in Silverton are by far the best, hands down! We could actually taste the flavor of the meat and cheese on the sub, the bread was fresh and flavorful, and the juices on the sub added the final touch to a great sandwich. The employees were friendly and courteous and the dining area looked clean and orderly. All in all, it was a great experience. The only negative was that the subs were a little pricey. read more
