They patiently answered all my questions, and was finally able to resolve and advise on several ongoing issues with my roof. Their pricing is very fair and they were ready to complete the work on time, as expected, especially on a short turnaround. I would highly recommend Reese to anyone who needs assistance with roofing issues.

Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. And thx to father and son (was it Joe and Ezekiel?!) for fixing the leak! I would definitely consider them to put in a new roof when the time comes!

-- "2,500 Miles Away, Zero Worries. That's the DH Roofing Difference."…read moreLet me set the scene: I'm a property owner living in Las Vegas, NV -- 2,500+ miles and three time zones away from my rental property in Old Bridge, NJ. A 6-to-8 inch snowstorm rolls through, and suddenly I've got a leak in the back bedroom. Not ideal. Especially when the last roof installed back in 2009 was a masterclass in "how NOT to do a roof" -- old plywood left in place, improperly installed fire walls, bargain-bin shingles, laughable ice protection, and barriers that were basically decorative. That roofer could've moonlighted as a stand-up comedian, because the whole job was a joke. So here I am, managing a roofing crisis remotely, operating on Pacific time while NJ freezes over. I did what any determined property owner does -- I went deep on research. That's how I found DH Roofing (Dream Home Roofing), based out of Hamilton, NJ. From the very first interaction, Angel and Tyrone were the kind of professionals you don't forget. Prompt responses, clear communication, and an attitude that said "we've got this" -- which, frankly, is exactly what someone 2,500 miles away desperately needs to hear. The competing roofer I was considering? Let's just say if DH sent me drone footage and detailed photos of the roof assessment, the other guy was operating at "blurry Polaroid from a disposable camera" energy. No flexibility, no warmth, no dice. DH Roofing handled everything: clearing the ice damming and snow off the old roof, cleaning out gutters packed with debris, and providing a thorough, transparent quote with actual photographic documentation (drones included -- very 21st century of them). The follow-up phone conversations were genuinely informative. Every question I had about materials, process, and timeline was answered with expertise and patience. They even offered me discounts AND a no-interest financing option. As a Vegas resident, I know a winning hand when I see one. The installation itself? Top-shelf. High-quality shingles, new premium gutters, proper downspouts, and -- the hero of this story -- heating cables for ice and snow melting. Everything was pristine, and I received photos throughout the entire process so I could watch the transformation from my couch 2,500 miles away. It felt less like hiring a contractor and more like having a trusted team I could see in real time. Here's the kicker: they finished the roof one week before an 18-to-20 inch blizzard hit New Jersey. Mother Nature showed up to test their work immediately, and that roof didn't flinch. Not a drip. Not a whisper of a leak. The very crisis I was trying to avoid -- ice damming, major water intrusion, property damage -- was completely averted because we moved smart and moved fast. If you're a remote property owner staring down a roofing problem, or just someone who refuses to settle for subpar workmanship, DH Roofing is the answer. The entire team -- from the crew on the roof to the project managers to the office support -- operated with professionalism, quality, and care that exceeded every expectation. Ten out of ten. Would recommend from any time zone.

What they did was give me a tentative start date which they said was flexible. Plus they said they wouldn't start any work until they notified me first. What these incompetents did was to sent a text message to a desk phone to say they were starting the next day. I didn't realize until the next day when my tenants told me that a bunch of guys were ripping up the roof! That was 2 months ago and not only was I crazy pissed then, I'm STILL seething. The salesman lied to me and my -ss STILL hurts. They offered me a 10% discount as compensation but I'm still on the hook for 20K for a roof that I DIDN'T want. I would never recommend them. Plus they left garbage and pallets in my yard that after 2 months they still haven't come back to pick up even after several calls to have them come back. Why should they? They got paid and skipped town.

They refused to do so. But still thinking this is a reliable trustworthy company by the positive comments. So I chose it by paying a higher price than the other companies. During the installation, I saw the DeckArmor underlayment was blowing by wind while the shingles nailed down. I asked the leader of the crew if they should nail down the underlayment first. He said no. That's the normal. I emailed Bill, the project manager, pictures and video. I asked him to clarify if DeckArmor was installed as per for manufacturer's instructions. He didn't answer my question. Instead, he escalated it to his VP, Alex Valentino. Mr. Valentino said the underlayment was not fastened by plastic cap nails/staple as GAF's instructions. It was actually fastened by regular staples because Deck Armor and shingles were installed on the same day. That's their "standard industry practice". They have done that all the time to all his customers, not just for me. I asked him for a proof. He sent me a very blurry picture. Nothing could be seen. He made some comments about me that I didn't appreciate instead of answering my questions. I contacted the GAF's Technical Questions Support Services. They said that Deck Armor should be fastened using only plastic cap staples or plastic cap nails prior to the shingles being installed. Regardless, it is a same day installation or not. And they also attached the GAF's Deck Armor installation instructions. After I sent GAF's information to Mr. Valentino. He said he wanted his lawyer to get a full payment by legal action. Well, the installation crew skipped the fastening step. The pictures showed no fastening by any kind of nails/stapes. But he said the Deck Armor was fastened, but by staples. There's no need an inspection for more data. All the available data demonstrated clearly that the practices were intentionally cutting corners by skipping fastening, using the substandard staples for time and money, which can lead to long-term roofing system integrity issues, often remaining hidden until major issues arise. These issues stem primarily from water infiltration and moisture entrapment, leading to a variety of problems though the damages may not be showing up right away. The GAF's specific warning DO NOT use the nails/staples without cap have its reasons. They lack the holding strength and durability needed for a secure and waterproof roof, while the plastic cap ones that spreads the pressure over a larger area, preventing the fastener from tearing through the underlayment and helping to seal the hole it creates. I liked their slogan - QUALITY ISN'T EXPENSIVE...IT'S Priceless and their high ratings. I thought if I paid a high price I could get a high quality roof. End up I didn't get the quality but frustration and distress. I just asked for a simple yes or no question leading to a legal action. This company is not accountable!!!
