Great family owned and operated business ! Awesome and efficient service . Highly recommend this company . I've referred this company to several businesses and they have had nothing but positive things to say . read more

I was sent this company through my home warranty company. The technician that came out to fix my refrigerator changed the relay. He left the house without telling me anything. I had to call the company which I was than told it was the it was the electrical panel that was tripping not the refrigerator. (Which I questioned) I had 2 electricians come out and say it was not the GFI but I had 1 of them change the GFI just in case. Well guess what it wasn't the GFI it was the refrigerator. Incompetent technicians and nasty customer service! read more

This establishment has the WORST customer service. They have rescheduled my service appointment twice and just told me their "repair man" is on vacation for the next 3 weeks. I have not had a functioning refrigerator or freezer for almost 4 weeks now. When asked to speak with the manager they told me the manager is out to lunch and will not be back until next week. This is embarassing and unprofessional. How do you run a business like this??? read more

another company sold our stove out from under us and jersey coast sales was awesome and expedited a stove for us... and 4 attempted deliveries where someone stayed home from work and they never showed and each time the delivery guy called he used a blocked number. finally had to have my son go down there and demand the money back with a trpd officer. 2 other people were there for the same reason as us. NEVAH AGAIN! buy at your own risque read more

Our ice Maker needed a minor fix. We had the same issue happen about a year ago or so and had another company come out and fix it in about 30 mins and charged us about $125 (no parts). Same issue came up and the company we used were almost 3 months out for appointment, so we tried Jersey Coast Appliance. The man came out and was friendly and respectful enough but was unable to complete because he indicated he was Claustrophobic and needed another man to help him since it entailed going into crawl space to connect/fix drain hose and needed to reschedule. Two weeks later he came out with a second guy, and they fixed it in a few minutes (no parts). Then the bill came....$394. I was so shocked I paid while my head was spinning. I got no receipt but was told I could request one and when I called and asked about getting invoice, I questioned the bill and I was pooh-poohed by the lady in customer service (basically it is what it is). I don't pay my cardiologist this much per hour. I hoped it was a mistake but when I finally got invoice in mail (they didn't offer to email) it confirmed the cost and that they were only here for about half hour. "CAVEAT EMPTOR" read more

We reached out to Jersey Coast Appliance to service our refrigerator. He came out and didn't have the parts so he said he would order them. Never heard from the company, had to call 3 weeks later and they said parts should be in the next day. Scheduled a follow up service call and they will not work with you on the times. It is either AM or PM!! They call you the day before to tell you your time. I had to reschedule already 3 times and the receptionist refuses to help. They say they can put a request in for the time but can't guarantee it. It was so frustrating, not to mention the receptionist is basically very unhelpful and told me to find someone else to fix our refrigerator. What kind of company is this????? read more

They don't stand behind the products they sell. If you want to buy an air conditioner and have it work only for one summer then I would recommend this store... read more

Great service! Happy to support a local business. Had an issue with dishwasher. Just by describing the sound the technician Joe new exactly what the problem was. In less than an hour the issue was fixed, done neatly and efficiently. Highly recommend amd very satisfied! read more

Classic bait and switch. Called because my water dispenser wasn't working. I was quoted $139 for a service call with the cost to be applied to any repairs if done. Fine. Was given a 2 ~4 o'clock window. Tech arrived about 4,45 The problem was the tube leading into the dispenser nozzle popped out. 5 minutes and $220 later he was done. When I asked about the price I said that I was quoted $139. He gave me some double talk about the hourly rate. Really!!! No parts and no time involved He was in the house a total of 15 minutes. I was deceived. Do not use these people. read more

I just had my second appliance installed and I am very pleased. Each time I needed a new one, the entire experience was seamless, professional and speedy. The showroom staff is knowledgeable and on their game. I had a new dishwasher delivered and installed next day and a fridge as well. The delivery guys could not have been more courteous and helpful. I also had my dryer repaired and again, quick, accurately diagnosed service at a reasonable price. This is a local business with great service and a level of professionalism not often seen. Forget the big box stores. For about the same price point you'll avoid all the aggravation of dealing with retail chain incompetence. You won't be disappointed with Jersey Coast Appliance. read more

I would not recommend them at all. They did come within a couple days for servicing my refrigerator, however, the back panel was so frozen that he could not remove it and do a proper diagnosis - just a guess. Gave me an estimate of $450 to repair an 8 year old Samsung which he said could lengthen its life span by 6 months to a year and took $190 deposit, which I was told would be used toward the $450 repair cost. After much research, I decided to buy a new refrigerator and although it cost a little more, I chose to purchase with Jersey Coast only to find they would not apply any of the $190 deposit toward the new purchase, saying it's only applied to repairs?????!!! How does that make any sense when I'm spending even more money with them (especially when the repairman could not even diagnose the problem other than a defrost issue that I already identified). I tried to do business with a small business in my area but am now choosing to give my business to someone else who treats me like they want it. Very disappointed. read more

I went to Jersey Coast Appliance on Sunday, right before closing time and bought a stackable washer/dryer. Skip was there and he was so great. He was friendly and helpful and took the time to explain things to me. Today is Thursday and my washer/dryer is hooked up and running! They called and gave me a 2-hour window and came within the first 40 minutes. The installers, Anthony and Matthew, were amazing! They were friendly and literally hooked everything up in less than 30 minutes. I am going to recommend them to everyone! It was an awesome experience! THANK YOU! read more

Here you go Jersey Coast Appliance... According to your arrogant secretary you've "been in business for 30 years," and your terrible customer service practice has worked just fine for you. What a bunch of nonsense. Run, don't walk, from this shoddy and disrespectful business. I'm happy to be the first review because your insignificant little company is a complete and utter waste of time! Unwilling to set appointments in a timely fashion, calling up and setting appointments with no input from the customer about scheduling, and total disregard for trying to work with the customer - great business practices! Congratulations to you. I've spoken with the warranty company that subcontracts you, and I'm making it my mission to have you taken off their list. Besides, I'm going to make sure people know how terrible you truly are. Stay away!!! read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED with company. Although their service people are very nice, they ARE NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE about fixing new appliances. I had the repair person to my house 6 times for well over $600.00 to never have my dryer fixed. He kept guessing and fixing different things. I have been calling for a manager for 6 weeks and being told the manger was away. When called today finally was told NO for a refund on service charges. Anyone who uses them BEWARE. They are NOT able to fix newer appliances. read more

We hired Jersey coast appliance to come and repair the broiler on a oven. They came a total of 9 times and either the technician broke the piece he was trying to install, didn't have the right piece, or the new technician they sent didn't know what to do. After $600 later the broiler is still not fixed. All I wanted was a refund and they refuse to do it. I would never hire these incompetent people again! read more

Very happy with my service from Jersey Coast Appliance. Called them on the basis of recommendation from my neighbor. Setting up the appointment was easy, I was told the cost of the basic service visit. They call a day ahead to give you a two hour window of arrival. Technician was on time, polite, knowledgeable and got the job done correctly. He further tested the unit to be sure everything else was working ok. I would definitely use them again for future repairs. read more

We purchased a new stove from Jersey Coast and the whole process was pleasant and efficient. We received friendly, knowledgeable help in the showroom, which resulted in our getting the perfect appliance for us. The delivery guys were on-time, courteous, and careful as they removed the old stove and installed the new. We are very pleased and highly recommend this company. read more

This company is the worst! I scheduled an appointment for my microwave to be repaired and they never showed up, not once but TWICE!! The second appointment I even confirmed with them the day before and they didn't even have the decency to call me the day of the repair and say they weren't coming. Do not use this company!! read more

Let's set the record straight. This is a first class repair company. I had a broken filter in my refrigerator and it was totally blocking everything and also stuck in place. From Scheduling the apt with Michele and accommodating my need to get it done right away to the visit by Robbie who came On time and called before per my request. He has been with the company for 15 years and everything was repaired perfectly with no additional charges as I read here. I have worked in Sales and Customer service for Top Pharma and Auto Companies in my past and I know when a great job is done correctly. They totally deserve a 5 star rating! read more

Service Tech showed up for what I told their Office - was a failing Side By Side GE Refrigerator Freezer - with Temperatures not staying cold to Specs. With NO test or diagnostic equipment the "so-called" Tech put his hand on the side of my refrigerator and "guessed" it must be the main control board - he gave me a $300 Part estimate but said they don't stock that part- and as it was early Friday evening - he would have to order the part the following week. I said no to ordering the part at that point, and he charged me $90.00 for the Service Call. Skeptical about his technical knowledge and competence - I called in Ge Appliance Repair the following Monday and they came prepared with all kinds of test equipment and meters and diagnosed the problem as a freon leak in the Refrigerator-side evaporator coils and showed me where the leak was. So much for the Untrained and Unqualified Guessing Service Call from Jersey Coast Appliance. STAY CLEAR OF HIGHWAY ROBBERS. Complaints to the New Jersey BBB, as well as the Toms River and Ocean County Consumer Protection Organizations was USELESS. read more

I wouldn't even give them one star if possible. My ice maker under warranty started leaking the company had me use Jersey Coast. First problem they would not come out until they ordered all brand new parts and a new ice maker. Then had to come out 5 times to attempt to fix the ice maker. The last time they sent a rep over he used duct tape to get the water working, still no ice. Called to complain operator refused to send anyone out to fix what they improperly installed. Operator states they had to open a new ticket and order new parts. I then found out why when I called the warranty company they closed out the first ticket months ago telling the warranty company my ice maker was fixed. They are now refusing to send out a service rep and properly repair what they installed improperly or was the system designed to have duct tape used. Worst customer service ever operators treat you terribly screwing up appointments. Don't use if your warranty company tries to make you demand a reputable company. read more

Told me there was 110 dollar fee to come out. They replaced a thermal fuse that cost 18 dollars and the guy was in my house 20 minutes and charged me $ 258. I have since shopped around and thus job should have cost 125 to 150 dollars tops. They are price gaugers and not very polite on the phone. Run don't call them they are a rip off. read more

Customer service is terrible!! My oven has been broken for over 2 weeks and no one can tell me when they are going to be able to fix it. I wouldn't even be using them if it wasn't for my warranty through Loews. read more

I have been dealing with Jersey Coast Appliance hoping to get a resolution to a problem with my washer machine. They visited my house a total of 4 times and were unable to fix the issue. With that I was OK because I had a warranty company who should eventually provide me some form of resolution. The bigger issue was that on the 2nd visit they made a repair that didn't fix the situation and caused damage to my floor. Their review of the situation, which was done by someone from Management via email concluded the washer was leaking before they serviced it and they failed to even come to review the damage. I can assure everyone the washer was new (1+ year) and not leaking water before they touched it. However the only leak prior to their causing more damage was oil, which their person took pictures of. Summing it up, they caused a leak in a machine, damaged my floors and are not reputable by any measure. I would not recommend using them, or allowing them into your home. In reviewing the situation I'd suggest the following problems: 1. They lack any sense of timing and responsibility. My issue is still unresolved and has been ongoing for 6+ weeks. Note I was available all but 2 or 3 days. 2. They did tell me the 1st repair person would not be sent back to my home as he was not familiar with my machine (Maytag). I did not request this - they offered this solution to me without my request. I honestly thought the 1st guy was nice. 3. They damaged my floor, and will not even come look at it as they promised. I was asked to wait till their floor guy was back from the Bahamas. I waited to only receive an email from their manager saying the machine was leaking before they came. I assure you that it was not, and they caused the damage. 4. Over the process I made several calls to them, and left 3 emails. No emails were returned, and maybe 1 of every 4 calls were returned. Note they were a sub contractor I was forced to use, so unless I wanted to go out of pocket they were appointed to do the work by the warranty company. 5. In the end, they fixed nothing, did more damage and the money they were paid by New Leaf (warranty) was subtracted from my replacement cost, so in the end I am paying for the work done by this outfit. As I type this I would recommend that NO ONE DOES BUSINESS WITH JERSEY COAST APPLIANCE in Toms River NJ. If there was a lower rating available I would have chosen it. read more

needed washer repair, service call is $109.95,no matter what. Tech came, said i needed timer, repairs, labor, parts total $386, gave $193 downpayment, 3 weeks & 3 parts later, no good, need new washer. tech said i'd be charged only service chrge, $109.95, balance would be refunded. went to whiting store, ordered new washer, owner Harry said i'd be refunded my balance. new machine was floor model, when installers tried, it, it leaked went back for yet another machine, was told again i'd be credited price difference, and balance on downpayment. Harry gave me price credit, but Mona and Trish of JC Appliance tell mne no refund, i was not charged delivery fees, and this transaction needs to be a "wash" and be "even" out. Never got my old washer fixed, tech had to go online w/ GE to finally figure problem, delivery was stalled, machine was damaged, and now after 2nd washer, deal needs to "even out". I didn't ven get called back by Trish when promised. Stay away from these incompetent nickel and dimers, by from Sears or Lowes or Home Depot and DON'T go near Jersey Coast Appliance!! read more
