Horrible. Appointment times so far out it's ridiculous. They came back 2 x's to fix refrigerator under warranty. Brand new. Not fixed and over a month without refrigerator. Call someone else. Jersey Appliance came out to replace my range lights and was unable to do so. I had ordered new lights and the technician couldn't get them to work. The next day, they contacted me to say the entire hood would have to be replaced because the model was discontinued. Because of the unique installation, it was going to cost a couple of thousand dollars. Fortunately, I didn't proceed immediately. A contractor was here a couple of days ago for another problem and I showed him the hood. He was able to fix it in 10 minutes with the same lights I had ordered. I paid a non-refundable $130 for the house call. When I called to report it, I was told that they can't splice wires --which is how the contractor fixed it. I wish they had just told me this instead of saying it couldn't be done. read more

Brandon just repaired my 8 year old clothes dryer. it had been making a squeaky noise. it was still drying the clothes but it sounded like the drum was rubbing something. i was impressed with how confidently he took the top and front off of it. Thankfully, he had the parts in his truck and a half hour later it was fixed and back together. I will certainly use this firm again: my initial call was answered promptly, the appointment was scheduled efficiently and within a few days of my call. The technician was professional, friendly, and on time (and they sent me an email so I could track when he finished appointments before me, giving me some idea of when to expect him). Thank God, my dryer rarely breaks, but when it does, I know who to call. The folks that work at Jersey appliance are really top-notch and know their stuff. When your appliance breaks down under warranty, you expect to call the number for warranty service and have the issue resolved in a smooth and timely manner. This has not been the case with Jersey Appliance, a company contracted to honor GE warranties. Once making the call, I was told the parts for my over the range microwave would need to be ordered. Ultimately it took about a month to receive the parts. This is understandable, so there was no grievance thus far. But once the first appointment was scheduled, the interactions became more and more frustrating. 1.) Technician missed the scheduled four hour window between 1 and 5 PM. Call received at 7PM, two hours after the end of the window to inform the technician was running late and would arrive at 7:30 PM. I refused and asked for a reschedule as this was now evening and dinner time. 2.) During rescheduled appointment, technician pulls into the driveway but never exits the vehicle. After 15 minutes, without ever exiting the vehicle, the technician just backs out and drives off. I call to ask why the technician just left. I was informed one of the parts was damaged and they had to replace it. I wonder why he couldn't have just told me this himself while he was in my driveway. 3.) Third appointment is the charm (or so I thought). Technician arrives makes a repair by switching a part and departs. Within an hour after the technician leaves, use of the microwave revealed it still was not heating, despite the technician saying it was working when he left. 4.) I call to schedule another repair. Microwave is still under warranty. I am told again I have to wait for the parts. After another couple of weeks, I am notified by text to make an appointment for the repair and do so. 5.) Appointment (fourth) is scheduled. However this time I get no text notification or previous day call to confirm as I did before. I call myself to check confirmation. I am told the appointment is scheduled for 1 to 5 PM. The time window elapses and the technician never shows. I call GE and ask if they contract other companies besides Jersey Appliance to make under repair warranties and they find another company to do so. So, I do not recommend Jersey Appliance. Their communication is poor and service unprofessional. No one wants the frustration of dealing with these additional issues on top of a non-working appliance. read more

CONSUMER BEWARE! I had called Samsung to have someone come out and repair my over range microwave door. I knew exactly what was wrong with it and seemed like an easy fix. The spring in the door latch popped which caused the tension to give and no longer hold the door in a closed a position. I spoke to this company and explained it to them exactly this. They explained they will send a technician out to repair it. The technician arrived and said unfortunately this door can not be taken apart to fix the part broken and they would have to order a new door and they would call me the following business day with a quote. So I paid the man the $130.00 fee for coming out and said I look forward to hearing from you. The following business day I was contacted and told the door replacement would be $423.62. So now the total cost would be $550+!!! The microwave itself was only $290.00. Here is where it gets interesting I look up how much the door is and found it for $175.00 from a distributor which means there where going to charge $250.00 to put on the door. So I then began looking up how to remove the old door to do it myself. To my surprise I find a video that tells me how to fix the latch. I said to myself I should try what's the worst thing that can happen? I break a door that needs to be replaced anyway? So I opened the door they said could not be opened and reattached the spring and it works! No parts needed! So this company tried to scam me for $550! HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE RUDE UNRELIABLE PEOPLE. And this is before they even showed up to fix my refrigerator..... My fridge is under warranty and GE scheduled them, they called to reschedule because apparently 'GE made a mistake' and then the morning of the appointment which I had made arrangements to wait around from NINE TO FIVE pm they called to tell me my window was 3 to 7pm. The morning of. I've been waiting 2 weeks for this appointment, made plans to have someone home until 5pm and when I challenged them about that they were so incredibly rude, dismissive and told me 'I was lucky they were giving me a shortened window and I just wanted what I wanted and didn't care what they were saying'. So rude horrible people, I can't believe GE contract with them and if it wasn't that my 2 months old fridge is broken I would never use them again. I do understand things happen but their approach, mannerisms and complete disdain was disgusting. EDITED TO ADD THAT THEY CALLED ME TO TELL ME AS I HAD POSTED A BAD REVIEW THEY WERE CANCELING THE SERVICE CALL EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE CONTRACTED DIRECTLY BY GE AND IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO 'DEAL WITH IT' read more

I strongly recommend AGAINST this company because they're unethical, unprofessional and lacking in any customer service whatsoever. They failed to properly diagnose the cause of the problem with my dryer and left it in a dangerous state, then when I called to complain they were rude, obnoxious and unresponsive. My Kenmore dryer was spinning but not getting hot, and the technician diagnosed the problem as it's thermal fuse had blown. I asked him multiple times what caused that, and the first time he answered "it's old", then when I asked the second day when he came back with a fuse if it was because my vent was clogged and he said "it might be". Then before he left I asked how do I know it's not going to blow again and he said "it shouldn't as long as your vent isn't blocked". Because I was fearful it might be blocked I didnt use the dryer until i had the vent cleaned a week later. After that I put a load in to dry, but the unit continued to give off heat when i opened the door mid-cycle, then when i started it again I noticed the top of the dryer was hotter than normal and lowering the temperature had no effect - the unit was just running way too hot. I attempted to touch the back but it was way too hot to even touch, which i felt was dangerous so I stopped the cycle and unplugged the unit. It appears this company feels no responsibility to determine why a thermal fuse blows, only to replace the blown fuse and take the chance it's because your dryer vent is clogged without verifying that's the cause. internet searches turned up the fact that thermal fuses were required to make sure dryers shut heat off when malfunctioning and running too hot to prevent fires. the technician also only let the unit run for 2 minutes to determine it was "working" when i now realize I should have asked him to run it longer - which would have likely blown the fuse again if the vent was blocked, or would have run too hot as it did when i used it. then he would have been confronted with not having fixed it properly - and then would have to ask me for more money to fix some other part? Do you see the problem here? They charged $125 just for the service call, and another $210 for the repair for a total of $335 for which I got no assurance my dryer was actually fixed, only that it "should" be. I believe if he had spent more time diagnosing what was wrong the repair price would have been much more and I would have turned it down - and he would have made less money by spending more time to properly diagnose. Their supervisor didn't respond in a courteous manner when I informed him I was calling to complain - he thought he was just going to send the man back out, but I asked if he would fix it for free. He started behaving childishly and putting the phone down or holding it away while pretending our connection was bad. This is a professional organization??? Their owner called me several days later - but wasn't in the least bit apologetic for his company's performance or behavior as well as making multiple excuses that were obvious lies and contradictions. i couldn't imagine being treated in a more insulting manner by a company that negligently left my dryer in a dangerous condition, ignored their responsibility and tried to fast-talk their way out of it. I advise you to stay as far away from this company as possible. read more

My refrigerator had been broken for months. West Jersey was the third repair company I called to come and try again to fix what two other companies could not seem to do. West Jersey knew, after careful assessment , what the problem was. They had to order a part which arrived within two days and my refrigerator was fixed within a week. What a relief to finally have it fixed ! I can't tell you have much of a relief it is to have a repair company do the work correctly ! My refrigerator stopped working. From a recommendation from a neighbor I called Jersey Appliance who gave me an appointment within a day. The technician (Brian) diagnosed the problem and it was merely that the computer panel needed to be reset. Having no idea what the problem was, he could have told me that it needed a new panel and I wouldn't have known otherwise. But he was honest and my only cost was the service charge.
