I would give these people negative stars if I could. They charged my 20 year old daughter $350 to pull her car out of the ditch. One tire was still on the road. Her car was in a residential development on a Sunday morning so basically no traffic or hazards. Their motto should be "Anything for a buck". She did not have that kind of money to pay so I had to cover her. Talk about taking advantage of a young woman! They gave her no indication of how much they were going to charge her. Stay far away! $350 to pull a sedan back onto the roadway when only half the car was just off in the snow. In a residential neighborhood with no appreciable traffic on it, they got you with a $250 inclement weather fee (due to the safety of the operator), without disclosing it up front when they are talking to you, so you could go with someone else (or do it yourself). I had jacknifed my semi on the highway and Jerry's tow service was called.He towed the truck and trailer for 4 miles and impounded the whole outfit. He did not write out a bill or say how much he was charging. When the bill came it was $29,357.75 for an outfit worth maybe 19,000. he is charging $300 a day for it to sit there while I try to figure out what to do. There were no other cars involved or people hurt and it was not a DUI. I CANNOT believe it is even legal to charge that much and I plan to find out. My car had hit the ditch under snowy weather on the highway and the cop said it would be about 75-100 dollars to tow hitch. the tow employee had pulled up with an attitude and was very unconcerned about anything then automatically assume he was going to bring it to the impound. He pulled my car a foot out of the ditch and asked me to drived my damaged car towards the exit on the highway. I had asked him how much is his rate to just attach the tow to my car he had stated it to be 200 (I thought this was high since it was only a foot off highway) after we had reached the exit. He pretended to be on the phone and asked for $314. This was very uncomfortable and I highly suggest this tow company learns some costumer service and sympathy for others. What a joke of a company. The office administrator, Susan, is incapable of opening an attachment included in an email. She was very rude and unapologetic when I had told her I sent numerous copies of my license via email to her. I had to drive over an hour just to show her my license in person because of this. I got stuck in the snow and had to call a tow service for my tractor, this company dispatched a service out, the guys are very nice along with dispatch. But in all of my life I could have never ever imagined they would charge me $2501.00 for a 40 minute service. I mean by no means am I discrediting the service or their expenses but come on in todays climate why? How do you justify charging this? Had I known I would have explored other options, I think it's sad that they take advantage of small businesses in this manner. Had a great experience with Jerry's Towing. Our vehicle died in a parking lot and they came to rescue. Our insurance only uses 1 towing company that was by us and they quoted they'd be to our destination in 1 hr 15 mins. While waiting 10 mins into the long wait time, I searched and found Jerry's. I called to see how much it'd cost from getting from point a to b. He said, actually that towing company called us to do the job. He went on to say, he's north of town and should be there in about 9 mins!! When the guy first arrived, very nice and friendly. We hopped in the very clean cab once our vehicle was on the bed. Fraudulent, deceptive, mercenaries! On Dec 23rd, 2021, our tractor trailer was subject to the adverse weather pile up on I-94 in Osseo, WI. Our unit ended up in a shallow median on its wheels. Subsequent to the final resting spot the cab mounts of the truck had been broken off. We have many pictures and drone footage of the incident. Other than lifting the cab apart from the frame of truck, the rest was a routine tow job. We have 250 units travelling coast to coast for 40 years, so this is not our first rodeo. We received a detailed invoice for $36,000 for a removal that should have been 1/3 of that at most. When contacted, the owner had no interest in negotiating the bill. Our trailer was loaded and other then 1 flat tire was still roadworthy. They would not release our time sensitive load until a "cash money" transfer was made to their account. They would not even take a credit card. Remember this is over the Christmas holidays when nothing happens fast, especially internationally. · The most upsetting point of the invoice, other than nefarious charges, was the fact that they had said they had separated the truck and trailer for transportation to the impound 20 miles away. This is copied from the invoice. "Disconnect tractor chassis from trailer. Used HR60 to lift and place chassis on Landoll trailer for Transport to Jerrys Lake Hallie Impound". and "Unit 907 hooked loaded trailer ran lights and air. Towed loaded trailer to Jerrys Lake Hallie Impound yard. " · We received pictures of the unit after it was in the impound. The remainder or truck and trailer were still hooked together. It was obvious that they were never separated during the transportation to impound. This portion of the invoice was close to $7000. · Next, we were charged for 6 hours of every piece of equipment, although we understand there is a 4-hour minimum, there was no way they spent 6 hours on our vehicle. The extra 2 hours cost us $8500. · $2722 "File Management Fee". To make up the bill. · $3266 "Hazardous/Risk Environment Surcharge". It was explained that this 10% of total invoice to cover the risk of the job. This is crazy! It's like a 10% tip for doing their job after we were billed $2700 for labor. CRIMINALS After rolling my car on the highway the police called this company and I had no say. The tow driver was friendly and let me sit in his truck to stay warm as he loaded my car onto his rig. I know the owner of a body shop in Menomonie and specifically requested they drop my car off there. I call them the next day and they inform me my car is in a lot in Cedar Falls (20 min away). They claim the lot I requested was full however it wasn't. I assume Jerry pulled this move so he could hold my car hostage. I asked what my options were to remove the car from his lot. Option 1 was they get to keep the car (a totaled suburban) and I would get $100 off my bill... The local scrapyard is letting me strip the battery, tires, etc. and is giving me $350 for the body. Option 2 is I figure it out myself. The bill to remove my car from the ditch and drive it 12 miles was $722. The lot they put it in is a field with a fence around it. It was about 5% full and according to Jerry costs $50 per day to leave my car there. Due to a holiday, insurance couldn't find a tow company to remove it for almost a week. I didn't want to pay Jerry $350 to store my car in an empty field for a week, finally I called a local garage who was more than willing to help. They felt my pain and recognized that Jerry's towing is a criminal organization. They got my car out of there and are letting me store it at their garage free. I hope is that karma finds their way to these bastards and none of you reading this review put yourself through the experience of dealing with them. read more

I needed to have my truck towed along with my 28-foot camper on it. I decided to leave it at the Roberts shop to have it worked on. I was also told that I could leave my camper there no problem and then when my vehicle was running again I could just drive away with my camper. The following day I received a call and was told what they" thought" the problem was, and that they did not work on small diesel engines. I don't understand why I wasn't told in the beginning that the shop did not work on small diesel engines. So I had to incur another Towing cost to have my truck towed to an alternate shop and was informed it was $50 a day for my camper storage! I totally feel like I was bait and switched. Let me tell you what I think about Jerry's...my son was in his first accident in a recent snowstorm, his car was undrivable and I was out of town and not able to help him. The first thing he did was call the police because he could not get his car off the road completely and it was unsafe. A Good Samaritan took him just up the road to a safe location to wait for the officer who called Jerry's to have the car removed from the road. Since I wasn't able to be with him, I had a family member get to the location as soon as possible, which was after the car was on the wrecker. The driver was kind and told my son to give me his card and call him Monday about getting the car since the yard was closed for the weekend and there is a daily storage fee. After some research on thr internet, calling other local towing companies and talking with my insurance company I was expecting about a $200 bill. Monday morning at 8 am I called Jerry's only to be blindsided by a brash woman telling me I owed over $600! For a tow and 36 hours storage! What! I asked how that could be and she gave no detail, just that those were the charges. After some back and forth with a woman who had no business in any customer relation role, I chose to go down to the tow yard and talk to a person face-to-face. A friend who drives a wrecker for another company suggested I bring the title and just sign it over to Jerry's and call it a day, he said that is common practice for vehicles that aren't worth salvaging to the owner and the company would likely take it as payment. All I knew is that I didn't have $600 and neither did my teenage son. I went to the lot, spoke to the manager and was told that the driver's ticket total came to $162 ($150 for the tow, $12 in fuel which he charged $1/mile) and somehow the total rang all the way up to $600! After some talking, the manager allowed my son to sign his title over to him while I still had to fork over $300. My son learned a couple lessons from this experience...drive ridiculously slow in the snow and always choose your towing company lest you have to give away your first and only real asset while mom goes into debt gracefully so her son doesn't feel any worse than he already does. Jerry's Towing seems to literally be a racket. I would probably be an alcoholic and have a crippling amount of self hatred if I were in anyway affiliated with this business. I get it, there is a demand even for the lowest, gutless professions. Drivers lurk around flashing lights into windshields in the middle of the night checking for parking passes. If you're visiting a friend and using their parking spot, they'll take your car and charge you $300 to get it out of their impound lot. Inclement weather and the early hours of the morning are these cowards favorite times to steal your vehicle. Their filthy building (which is a converted A&W) is in desperate need of modernization. I don't understand how with the sum of money they extort from the community they are unable to at least appear less slummy. I actually am equally resentful for having to had step foot in such an old and trashy building. Here is my experience: I walked 2 miles to their business and told the receptionist my name, and the make and model of my car. They treated me very poorly even as I was polite over the theft and extortion of my vehicle. I understand that they must be jaded by the endless waves of hostility, but choose another line of work if you can't deal with the attitudes that theft and extortion are likely to yield. They pretended not to know whether or not they had my vehicle. They distanced themselves by saying "we have nothing to do with towing." Low and behold, they were able to locate my vehicle in their lot They sat me down by a phone and transferred me to their other location to provide them with my billing information. An unnecessary hurdle, but I would rather steal remotely as well rather than face my victim. This is why I call them cowards. "We don't have anything to do with towing." I would honestly rather have them just admit that they have my vehicle and are extorting me before they bend me over. Once they charged the ransom to my debit card, I was allowed to go into their lot and reclaim my vehicle. I did once call for a tow, that was lovely and I was very appreciative. Good job!
