Moving to a new city and trying to find honest vehicle service providers is a big deal. Especially…read morefor single older and young women. More times than not, when a female takes her vehicle into a service center (i.e. dealership, franchise and/or private-owned garage), she is greeted by a smiling service in-take specialist; a service diagnostic is performed on her vehicle followed by a hefty repair price for un-needed services. Why? Because mechanics and service center providers are aware female customers know nothing about their vehicles and can't determine if any of the diagnosed repairs were done. As a result, many females depend on referrals from other females (i.e. friends, associates and/or female strangers). Otherwise, females walk into service centers with an attitude and secured wallets to ensure they aren't victims of service center predators. While visiting a local nail shop I asked, "Do anyone here know a good vehicle center? I need to get new rotors and brake pads." Yes. After being ripped off so many times by other service centers a friend told me about Tire Motive Service Center, located at 131 North Marion Road, whom I still use because of their honesty and quick service practices, a nail shop client replied. On Tuesday, I visited Tire Motive Service Center to schedule an appointment to have rare-brakes and rotors replaced on my 2001-Ford Pickup Truck. I was given an appointment for Wednesday, the next day. I arrived fifteen minutes before my appointment; checked-in and settled in the sitting area with my laptop computer to write a few blog articles. Twenty minutes later, a mechanic entered the area and said, "Ms. Brown, you still have a good 75 percent on both rear brake pads, and the sound you hear periodically from the rear are scraps from a rust-spot on your rotor. At this point, there is no reason for you to replace either part. Now, if you want me to; I can just take your money which wouldn't be right," he said. Oh my God...One of your female customers told me this service center was run by honest people which I didn't believe. Now I do and will tell folks that are looking for vehicle services about your Tire Motive Service Center. "Thank you so much", he replied.

I didn't think they were bad as I had them replaced a couple years ago. That would have been over a thousand bucks for an unnecessary repair! Took my 2013 Dodge ram 4X4 to the newly located GRAHAM TIRE on North Cliff Ave in Sioux Fall. I…read moreknew I needed brakes on the rear, but figured I'd probably need them on the front as well. The service manager gave me a call to let me know the diagnosis, and I did not need brakes on the front, rather I had two locked up calipers on the rear. Add to that I wanted them to rectify the E-brake cable which was hanging down and is a common issue on Dodge RAMS. Long story short, GRAHAM fully diagnosed the problems and then without any pressurized sales tactics, suggested I could do the E-brake repair or not. I elected not to do the E-brake repair because I do not use that very often if at all. Overall, let's put it this way - they treated me right, they did not repair anything or suggest something be repaired that did not need to be at the moment, and in the end price was fair and acceptable. Oh, and one last note: Despite the fact that it was evident I needed tires, they did not even try to upsell me on tires. Most shops would've attempted to pressure you into getting tires. Rest assured they will be on my list when it comes time to buy tires.
