Will not recommend this company. At all costs. We replaced roof just eight months before the hurricane M. And then we had to replace it again in 2019 as we had more than 25% of damage roof. We hired The same company , bcz it was fast and good first time. We were happy until insurance inspector came and noticed a crack in the Stucco from what he said bad roofing job , clear negligence, He advised us to fix it, call to those who placed the roof or it is gonna leak inside the wall. I called the Wilson. They came and said they didn't do it, the crack. They probably realize they messed up and didn't wanna deal with repairs. By the way, there was a lot of nails and leftovers left on the grass. They never picked it up. I even sold those shingles they left. Anyway, I never had money to call somebody and to fix the problem. So now in 2026 the stucco cracked the wall all the way down to floor, bcz there is no wood left, all rotten. Leaking inside the wall and inside the garage. All this happened because of this little crack, and missing flashing, we found only now (little cheap part) roofers did in 2019 Someone said about them over pricing. It's true. In 2017 the roof cost for us 13k . In 2019 it was 16k ADDED: I m abt to file law suit against this company. Bcz now repair estimates is $20k+ , and if they won't find shingles they need, we need replace the whole roof!!! read more

Jerry Wilson never met a roof that needed to be replaced that didn't also need the decking replaced. His team is really good at spewing all the technical reasons why the decking and all associated roofing parts are either improperly installed or damaged, and the roof and decking has to be replaced. Then of course their prices are about 1.5 times higher than the average for the area. Quite the scam operation, and they have no emotional response whatsoever to ripping people off. read more

About a month ago I contacted Jerry Wilson's Roofing to get an estimate for my roof. His son came right over and said he'd have my estimate ready by that afternoon. After a few days I sent a text about the estimate with no reply back then after a few more days I called and talked to the owner. He said that he wasn't aware but that he would get right back with me with my estimate. I have still not received any response. I just wasted nearly a month on a company who doesn't even care and if they were not interested could have shown me the courtesy to have told me on day one and I would have moved on with someone willing to do the job. Severe Hurrican Ian damage to our mobile home in North Port. No local contractor would even touch the job. The locals just wanted to "shoot and scoot", popping up shingles and running to the next job to cash in on our misery. 3 months of that crap. Then Justin and his Jerry Wilson crew came to our park and started performing repairs, and luckily we snagged him. He immediately described what he would do to fix our disaster. Within two (2) weeks we had a completely rebuilt roof that saved our house. He and his crew worked until 4 in the morning getting us done. Who does this anymore? We have a $20,000 roof from Jerry Wilson's. We immediately had leaks under 2 of our roof valleys after installation. When we complained about the first one, which was leaking into our bedroom window sill, Jerry came out with a caulking gun and put some roof patch on, claiming it was our gutters to blame for the leak (which were in place during their installation, and they said nothing about a potential problem). When we noticed the second leak a couple of weeks later, they came out and looked at it and said it was a gutter problem, and did not (could not?) fix it. I have since moved the gutters so that there is NO WAY the gutters could effect it. Also, I have water-tested the valley and it leaks well above where gutters could effect it. Jerry Wilson's won't respond to my calls any more. I had another company inspect it and they said the valleys were not intalled properly, and it would cost over four thousand dollars to correct. Sorry, I can't recommend them. They don't stand by their work and won't take responsibility to fix a problem they caused. read more

Don't know what quality roofing they perform if they show-up to do the job. More than 90 days have passed since provided down payment ...no returned calls or sighting yet. Jerry Wilson may or may not be completely dishonest, but we have seen his work to be substandard on many occasions. I believe they may have some capable staff, but many times roofers like this get overbooked and take calculated shortcuts. They have no fear in rejecting a consumer complaint, as they do not seem to repair the roofs they decide against. I understand he has quite a team of attorneys. It's a shame in this day and age that people who do this type of work can get rich performing as such. In the old days, shoddy work was rewarded with no work. Every thing with Jerry Wilson Roofing was a good experience. Was referred to them by a property manager in area who had used them for many years. They performed a complete re-decking and re-roofing for me in Lynn Haven, Florida. Immediately after signing contract, the area went into early dog days of daily rain. Josh answered every phone call and initiated calls to me to update/advise of changes in schedule necessitated by rain. The first break in weather they were on the job very early every day; staging was impressive and they finished as scheduled. The job site was clean throughout the process. I hired Jerry Wilson roofers shortly after the storm they wanted half down which I paid after several calls that they did not return they showed up and completed the work on the roof I paid the other half and they were supposed to come back and pick up the construction trash they didn't come back and after several unanswered phone calls I had to pay someone else to remove the trash now less than a year later there appears to be issues with the roof and surprise surprise they are not returning my calls I would advise against hiring this company read more

Do not hire this guy. My father-in-law hired him to replace a roof on his house. He was very pushy up front and insisted on 50% deposit with final payment on the last day of work. He has never brought by the guarantee. Both my husband and I have spoke with him in person and he promised to mail it first and then when we were in Florida helping my father-in-law he said he would swing by the house and drop it off. He lies. Never mailed the guarantee, never came by the house and refuses to answer our calls. Highly, highly recommend NOT hiring this guy.
