He was very responsive and had very reasonable availability and rates. After a job well done he asked what we had planned for after the sidewalk was removed. As like many homeowners my husband and I were overly ambitious and thought we should do a flagstone pathway ourselves! After very little debate we were glad to allow Charlie to take the job. We had a large concrete pad that sat near the driveway that was essentially rendered useless but Charlie and his endless creative ideas suggested we cover that with flagstone and have that be integrated into the walkway. We would have NEVER thought of that. He and his son designed and executed a beautiful walkway and new patio all for a very reasonable and competitive price! We are beyond pleased with Charlie and his work and have his number saved for future jobs! I highly recommend!

Water heater joint (PEX/Copper) began leaking Saturday night. I called this (Blacksburg) office…read more There was no answer, but you could leave a number for a call-back. I did this, and received a call within 30 minutes (from Danville). The scheduler said no one could come out that night, but the plumber would be out between 9 and 11 the next morning. As I had already shut off the water inlets and outlets, bled the pressure, and the pipe was no longer spraying water, this seemed reasonable. At 8:40 the next morning, I received a call from Danville again, telling me that their plumber was off on Sundays, so the soonest they could get out was Monday after 5 PM. I was expecting and prepared to pay after hours / Holiday weekend rates for emergency service when I needed it. I didn't get that. Do not advertise "24/7" service if you aren't able to offer anything even close to that. I did call the Blacksburg office (the number listed in this page) to confirm that they had no availability for today. Not impressed. I'll wait for my regular guy if I'm waiting.
