Dr. Darm and his staff have been my trusted "go to" source for beautiful skin for over 15 years. They are simply the best!!!

I am always impressed by the results received from Dr. Darm. Thank you for the amazing outcome and experience!

I have been a patient at Dr. Darms facility for about 5 1/2 years. I saw a provider named Dr. Jason Sherbondy. On April 26 I had an appointment for Botox. I have been receiving Botox for approximately 10-12 years. After about 10 days I started noticing that one eyebrow looked a bit high. It got worse and worse. On May 12 I was set to have an eyebrow touchup done. She refused to do my touchup because my eyebrows are so uneven due to Botox. This lady has previously done my eyebrows a year ago and has photos for documentation. So I called Dr. Darm's office and I explained what happened and they told me that they would fix the mistake at no charge. I spoke to one of the new injectors that they just hired and she said it would be an easy fix. On the morning of my appointment I had a phone call from the office manager. She wanted to badger me and tell me that I'm wrong, nobody made a mistake and sometimes this just happens. She told me she was trying to educate me. Me disagreeing with her was enough reason for her to cancel my appointment and remove me as a patient. So to recap, I have been a loyal patient at this facility for over five years. My injector quits so they give me Dr. Darm himself, (very creepy man, with poor bedside manners). He makes an error, I called to complain about it and because I don't want to agree that it wasn't an error, I am removed as a patient. This was a $550 service that they are not willing to correct or take fault for. So now I am left to find someone else and pay to fix the error caused by Dr. Darm. read more

I turned them in. I notified the Oregon Medical Board and the BBB. If you have had issues please do the same. I have no idea how they stay open, except people only write reviews instead of notifying the proper authorities. They over promise, and you end up scared, and the procedures don't work, especially the so called minilift. Turn your reviews into action so others don't get ripped off for thousands of dollars, they should return but won't. read more

My services were fine but receptionist called me at 2:00 on the dot (my appt was at 2) to ask if I remembered my appt. I was literally walking in the front doors as she called. I had liposuction on neck and chin. They said it would take about 6 months to heal and be scared free. Once 6 months came around and I still had bad scarring on my neck below my chin, they then said it could take up to a year. They gave me "scar lotion" to apply daily. After a year and a half with no results they discontinued Communication with me. It has now been 4 years and my neck I'd still disfigured and I wear a beard to hide it. If I had it to do again I definitely would not go to them. I am so embarrassed and regretful. MG Gresham read more

The jury is still out on this one. I came here for a service and ended up not being happy with the result. I called to see what they could do for me (before disputing the charge on my credit card) I asked for a re-do or refund of my money - and both times I got less than friendly service on the phone. The 3rd time I called, I spoke with someone courteous, but by then, I'd pretty much given up on trying to resolve the issue. In instances like this, I probably can't get my money back (it's kind of the same as getting a haircut; you get what you get, period) so I will shop around and see what other options I have out there. That's not to say that I didn't think the front desk staff (not to be confused with the people who deal with disputes) or Dr. Darm weren't personable, because they are. They've also moved locations and really glammed/classed up the place. Now one can see where all your money goes. Which is not to say that it affect the way you feel about your procedure. Aesthetic is everything; whether it be food, how you perceive yourself or the office you visit when enhancing your (already beautiful) self. A year later.... I wasn't going to return to AM, but found a coupon on Groupon. I have now been introduced to a new product and am much happier. That said, I will continue to patronize Aesthetic Medicine, as long as they keep running in-house specials and Groupons. read more

Jeezussss! People are so touchy about admitting that they get botox, like there is some shame in it. Really? You are 50 and wrinkle-free and you profess that you just naturally have really good genes? Sure, I totally believe you. Or, they think it is dangerous or something. Uh huh and you probably wear a tin-foil hat too. So to all you anti-botox freaks, and haters of Dr. Darm for whatever your squirrely reasons, I snub thee. I will freely admit that I have been getting botox for those pesky little crows-feet in a preventative maintenance way for years. I certainly never once felt like I was in a puppy mill like another reviewer that shall remain as nameless as her question mark-like photo. She sort of sounds like she has an entire constellation of "issues" that are well beyond what botox is capable of fixing. In my many years of being treated at Dr. Darm's office I have always thought of him and his office as professional, his demeanor as courteous, and if I have someone poking me in the face with a sharp needle, I don't want them to linger over the poking part. I would like to have that needle in and out of my face toute de suite. So a fast injection is a good injection. Dr. Darm and the other doctor that does the injections always do their best to avoid leaving bruises but you know what? Sometimes, despite their best efforts, a bruise will occur. Deal. There is something that a patient can do to mitigate bruising. That is to take Arnica before and after the procedure. Arnica is a natural supplement that can help alleviate bruising. One can pick up said supplement at most any Fred Meyer, Walgreen's, Rite Aide, etc. Now, just by writing this review, I was inspired to call and schedule an appointment and they fit me in for tomorrow. Botox works so well for me that I only go twice a year rather than the recommended 4 times a year. It's all about maintenance... read more

I love my 'TOX from Aesthetic Medicine! I have been getting Botox since I first got wrinkles that weren't cute. I was in the Medical Spa business since the beginning of time and he was once my fiercest competition. However, since I changed fields in 2006, I have been having my one time competitor Dr. Darm and in recent years Dr. Davenport (a dream with a needle) give me those tiny little shots that make me look so good. They are always expanding the services (they do surgery now) and they offer low pressure consultations, safe treatments and competitive prices. BONUS: They have never given me a single droopy eyelid. If you haven't had BOTOX before, it's super fast and normally I can get in and see Dr. Davenport (you took a decade off again Mr. Magic) and be back in my car in less than 15 minutes. $650 for lobe reconstruction on two ears by Dr. Ciano and team I had gauged my ears (and lightly torn then) in the early 2000's They were so nice at this office and made me feel very comfortable. This was the most reasonable price I could find for this procedure. I came back to the office a few times during healing to make sure everything was healing correctly. The lobe didn't match up on one ear, so 6 weeks later (they allowed time for healing) they fixed it to make it match up. The scars are still slightly visible to me (as you would expect) but they look amazing and I'm very happy with them. read more

I've had lip filler in the past at different practices and chose to come here on advice from a friend. First of all the prices matched with the quality of care are great compared to anywhere else I've been! Dr. Sherbondy did an AMAZING job and I'm so happy with my results. Not only does it look good but I had very minimal swelling/discomfort through the procedure and afterwards, which has not been my experience at other places in the past. I will ONLY come here for filler and this will be my first stop for any other procedures I may choose to do in the future. read more

Time for Dr. Darm to retire and seek a mental health professional! Over a year ago, I had good results from abdominal liposuction from Dr. Zawacki. Dr. Darm doesn't do the lipo procedures, but from all the ads, one might think he does. Anyway, I decided to go back for neck/ chin lipo. When making the appt for initial consult, the person scheduling asked if I wanted to see Dr. Darm or Dr. Zawacki. I only wanted to see her, since she was going to do the procedure. Instead, when I got there he was there for the consultation. I should have stopped there. During the consult, Dr. Darm sat across from me and proceeded to pat my thighs. I was very uncomfortable with this inappropriate touching and just wanted to get out of there! When I got home, I sent an email to Dr. Zawacki describing my experience. Later in the day, I get a call from the manager, Shana. She showed no remorse and continued to defend Dr. Darm, singing his praises about how sweet and caring he is. She spoke with him beforehand and I was shocked by his excuse for patting my legs. Apparently, he gets unsteady getting up from the chair and used my legs to push himself up! Well, he first patted me on the legs and wasn't getting up. Would he do this to a male patient??? With his previous sexual allegations against him, you would think he'd be advised by his attorneys to keep his hands where they belong. I'm a massage therapist and am required to take a boundaries class every 2 years in order to renew my license. He is a physician and it seems the rules don't apply to him. Why is that and how is it he's still allowed to practice?? I am taking my business elsewhere, and I advise anyone else to do the same. read more

Scary what can happen here. The staff he has hired I don't think are competent or professional They are nice to you only until they have your money. After that it is all downhill. They won't return calls, they become rude if you have questions. HE creates a wall so that you cannot get any help after an expensive procedure. They will not accept that they do anything less than perfect. I tried and tried to contact them to ask for help - Forget it they have. become rude and condescending. I really liked Dharm but Now realize he plays a nice guy while walling up with the people who protect him from any questions, revisions or doubts. Once they do the procedure and one follow-up for their own pictures They are done with you. If I had it to do over again I would pay a little more and go someplace that is much more ethical. IF you go here and not everything is perfect you. better know they are going to discard you. You can either lawyer up or just live with whatever you get. read more

Great results with my lipolift. Enjoyed both providers and staff! They took great care of my needs before and after the procedure!

I came here to use a Groupon for a micro-derm. I love micro-derm, and get them often. And, it must show because I do get compliments on my skin so I feel its worth it. I would totally come back here again for the micro-derm. First, they use the Diamond tip minus the annoying crystals (major plus in my book,,,,less mess). The mini facial that came with the micro-derm was nice and basic (I could easily go back to work after wards). The technician was skilled and friendly. I also had a consult for some nasty leg veins I have due to genetics. They quoted me a standard price, a physician actually looked at my legs, and it was all done in a professional manner. I am not sure I understand the complaints about sales pitches, etc. If you fill out the form to indicate you are interested in certain services, then they will talk to you about those services. I only marked what I wanted to talk about, and that is all I received. I asked them if they thought I had any sun damage, and the consultant said she could see none and thought there was no need for that treatment. Seems pretty honest to me!! read more

I am not yet a patient of Dr. Darm, but I did have a very important interaction with him. I worked at an Emergency Veterinary Hospital and one day he called in to inquire about euthanasia for one of his employees cat. The cat was 20 years old and not doing well. The love, concern and empathy in his voice was heart breaking. I wish I worked for someone who cared about me as much as he cares about his employee. Somone with that much empathy for employees is going to take spectacular care of their patient. I just had to share what a wonderful human he is. read more

My experience with AM for botox has been ok. The Dr who had performed my botox in the past and whom I scheduled with to have filler injections, abruptly quit and walked out during business hours. I was never contacted and informed of this change in my appointment before hand. This is where I should have left the facility. But instead, I allowed one of the many assistants convince me to use Dr Sharbondy. I had my doubts from the very beginning due to contrary things being said about him by one of the depts. In the end I let the assistant convince me and I agreed to let Dr Sharbondy perform dermafill (juviderm) on my lips. Dr Sharbondy never talked directly to me, no consultation was allowed for, all info was relayed through the assistant. He came into the room as I'm reclined in the chair and announces to the back of my head, 2 mils is what I was to receive. That's $700--no mention of what 1 mil would do--he didn't look at me before he determined how much filler I needed. Long story short, Dr Sharbondy did a terrible job and did not fill the lines I asked him to fill. Several days later I went back for a follow up and to rectify the appointment only to be treated with complete disrespect not only by him but by the office manager as well. The proof was in my office photos that he did not perform the services I paid for but only the scheduler would acknowledge this as she viewed my photos and was in complete agreement with me. Dr Sharbondy and the office manager lied to my face with no intention of admitting wrong or having the professional integrity to fix the situation and give me what I asked for, paid for and was told I received. They wanted more money for extra filler and there was no negotiating with their bullying tactics. I have recently started seeing a professional Dr for botox not far from AM. I had him look at the "filler" he said there is no way 2 mils was injected (he saw before and after photos on my phone) He felt very bad knowing what I went through, hearing the same experiences echoed from other clients. His practice is to show the prefilled needles in the package before he administers injections. Unlike AM where they fill needles in the "back" and you have no idea how much or where it came from. In my experience AM has done very little to garner trust or reliability. I would tell anyone who is considering going here to be very wary of how you are treated, be aware of the product amount and how much is being injected. Once they have your money that's it, there's no getting it back. As a consumer my experience with Aesthetic Medicine is that of low skill set, greed for $$$, no regard or concern for maintaining positive experiences with clients. read more

The staff at Aesthetic Medicine are friendly and helpful. The facility is also clean and nicely decorated. I was so stoked to try one last thing to help my acne. I had laser treatment done on my face and sadly it did not help! I was pretty disappointed after spending over a thousand dollars on the recommended number of treatments. I'm SO frustrated with my botox results.. I had been coming here to get a conservative amount of botox just at the very top of forehead and middle of brows in order to help lift my brows a bit (I loved the results for a few times in a row). The last time I went the Dr. just rushed through it and even though I quickly tries to mention that I liked the look of how my brows were lifted a bit after, he put botox RIGHT over my brows, causing my eyelids to droop even more than usual. It even feels different and it looks way worse than before I went in. Save your money for a dr. that actually takes his time and LISTENS to you and your concerns. This guy is a joke read more

Every time I tried this place something bad happened. Either the promise of a redo if no results (laser hair removal because sometimes they need to increase the settings depending on a few factors I was told) and they never kept their promise, to Dysport causing blurry vision that was never mentioned to me as a common side effect, to the way they injected Botox causing eyelid drooping with their old school/incorrect technique. they also inject in a way that is a common mistake causing the "caveman" drooping brow effect. The only reason I tried this place was because my regular doctor of 12 years was booked, so I decided to give them a try. Not only did they not know advanced techniques for Botox (instead, very old school knowledge and my current dr. pointed out, incorrect technique), they are very dishonest about the #1 negative side effect of Dysport. If you type in Dysport in Google, blurred vision is attached to the Dysport. Extremely common side effect and they either do not care or just want your money without telling you possible side effects. Complete and utter dishonesty on their part. When confronted in a diplomatic way, their staff turned into your worst enemy making you feel like you had done something wrong by pointing out the error in their ways (i.e. not keeping their promises about redoing hair laser and a clear "we don't care attitude" if your eye lid is drooping and you can't read your emails because of the Dysport blurred vision side effect). Never an ounce of concern, which shows the mentality of this place. I like to give places the benefit of the doubt, I realize there are no guarantees with treatment (even though I was made a redo offer they conveniently claimed amnesia about later), but after 3 appointments at this place they have struck out. I will tell you now (because Aesthetic medicine won't) stay away from Dysport and stick with Botox. Get in writing from them anything they promise you because amnesia commonly occurs at this practice. Arm yourself with the knowledge that some doctors will give you a caveman brow if they didn't pay attention at their injectable seminars. Try other places for treatment, because you will be glad you did. In fact, if you want a real knowledgeable staff, Plastic Skincare Aesthetic in Tualatin, knows what they're doing and will treat you like family or at the very least, professionally. They also know how to LIFT the brow with advanced injection knowledge, instead of drop the brow. A lot of doctors drop the brow giving a "caveman" appearance which is what happened with Dr. Darm's practice (Aesthetic medicine). Common thing to happen unfortunately, but can be avoided if you stay away from this place. Vanderveer is also a great place in Lake Oswego. Good luck! read more

I've waited 6 months to write this. I had the Lipo Lift laser assisted tummy tuck on June 1st. I will say that everyone I came in contact with was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. Dr Darm himself is a very nice gentleman. However, when he looks at what you want done and tells you "oh, sure, we can get rid of that", and when you watch all the before an after videos, you really expect to look like the before and after pictures. I did read all the information and certainly didn't expect weight loss, but I DID expect to see some contouring/flattening out of my tummy. When I asked the Dr about it, he had the perfect medically sound reason that my "after" picture didn't look at all different from my "before" picture, even though "they took 3+ liters of fat cells". What he told me is this: "We can only take the fat cells on top of the muscle, but nothing under the muscle", so the only way to lose that is to lose weight!" 3 months later he said the same thing that he said the first time I saw him....that is to tell me, "oh, yeah, we can get rid of that!" Well, why didn't that happen the first time!? So, in my opinion, I spent nearly $5000.00 for nothing! I feel that he needs to tell perspective clients that they may NOT look like one of the before" and "after" pictures and explain to them why instead of assuring them he "can get rid of that". Sad to say I would like my money refunded and I would warn others that they may not look any different 6 months down the road than they looked when they first saw Dr Darm.......as nice as he and his staff are. read more
