However, after attending for a while, it wasn't the right spiritual home for me. I personally struggled to find deep, authentic community here and felt that the social environment could be quite cliquey. Additionally, I personally felt the Sunday teachings leaned toward half-truths rather than the deep, fully transparent biblical messages my soul was looking for. It is a beautiful campus, but if you are looking for a small, tight-knit church family or deeper theological teaching, you may want to look at other local congregations

This church began construction in 1894 and was partially completed by 1915. It is of French Gothic Architectural style and is on the US National Register of Historic Places. "The window was created by Mayer and Company of Munich, Germany, and installed in 1911. It was fully restored in 2001." There is ample parking in the church grounds with an additional overflow lot nearby. It is definitely a beautiful space to visit and attend mass.

The minute we walked in we were greeted by Pastor Adam and he started telling us all about their youth ministry before I even shared anything with him. I immediately knew this was Devine intervention! Soon after this my kids attended a youth night service and LOVED IT. We all met at Taco Bell afterwards where I was introduced to Pastor Adayja. I won't go into too much detail, but yet again Devine intervention Over the summer the kids attended Wake Summer Camp. I also served as a leader. This camp was OUTSTANDING! The spirit of God was so noticeably present. I also came to get to know Pastors Jeff and Jess. They have such a heart for God. Being someone who comes from a rocky past and who spent the beginning of my relationship with God attending churches online, I was so fearful when looking for a church that I would have to hide my past and my struggles. Everyone here has allowed me and my kids to be our true authentic selves without fear of judgement. So many of the staff and people we have met here are such a huge part of our lives and support system. These people really show up for you in day to day life. Not just on Sundays. My relationship with God has grown so much here! Every service from the worship to the message is simply amazing. Pastor Jeff preaches wisely, in a fun way that gives life. He makes it so easy to relate the message to every day life. Forever grateful we found Elevate. We love our church!

However, my personal experience with the small group ministry was incredibly tough. I felt that the life groups lacked proper oversight, and the management of those groups felt spiritually unhealthy and exclusive. Unfortunately, navigating the cliquey environment and lack of leadership support left me feeling deeply disconnected and hurt. While the main service has great qualities, I personally struggled to find a safe, welcoming, or structurally sound community here. If you are looking for deep, structured small group accountability and supportive management, you may want to look at other local congregations.

The church itself is young, only 6 months old and certainly draws a "younger" generation (think gen z/millennial). However, my husband, not a millennial loves this church. It's a safe space for anyone and everyone along their journey of seeking Jesus. Bible based. This is a big deal for me. We've attended great churches before that are just sadly watered down. The team at QCC packs a huge punch of the Bible but still maintains a fun, witty, loving atmosphere. Enjoyably bible based! We've been accepted with open arms since day one. If you choose to check out a service and attend regularly, I very highly recommend doing the Growth Track where you learn about the church and specifically what gifts God has given to you. It's a very fun, short "workshop" that plugs you into everything QCC has to offer! Bonuses: free coffee and childcare UpdatIng: after spending some time here, we've chosen a different path. The younger generation just didn't relate well to us over time. If you're 18-24, this is the church for you!

There are many aspects to LOVE, including patience and discipline. The message is given in a straightforward but gentle manner. Topics that can be sensitive, like money, divorce and being gay are all discussed openly, by adults with adults. These are real world issues and are discussed, not judged. I'm gay and I felt comfortable right away. In Adult Forum (Sunday School) I did talk about experiences as a gay person and others were receptive to hearing from me. They make an effort to reach out, invite you for a meal, and get to know you as a person. While worship may not have the production value of a mega-church, I found their services to be earnest and endearing. Pastor Bob's sermons aren't overly sentimental or condemning; instead, there's usually a mix of didactic biblical knowledge, interpretation of scripture, and a simple take away message. I'd highly recommend this church to people looking for fellowship and community. And while most of the members are Chinese, I wouldn't fret over cultural differences too much. P.S.
