Her sessions have helped me recover from surgery, process a layoff, and navigate some challenging relationship situations. Liz is warm and genuinely compassionate. My experience with Liz inspired me to take her two-day Reiki I workshop, and I'm so glad I did. The small group format allowed for plenty of hands-on practice and individual attention. The flow of the Reiki 1 course worked beautifully: we had ample opportunities to practice giving and receiving Reiki treatments (with Liz alongside us providing gentle guidance and instruction), and we learned the history of Reiki through Liz's Reiki history lessons (called Reiki stories), which were split up into four parts over the two-day course. I left Sunday afternoon with my Reiki 1 certificate and a renewed sense of self, which resulted in a more relaxed, less anxious me. I plan to continue studying with Liz and make Reiki a regular part of my life going forward!

In an email one year ago she briefly mentioned that her husband has crazy work hours and said it…read morewouldn't be fair to take on new clients. Then I kind of forgot about this. I reached back a year later to fix a session. She didn't mention it again on the phone or explicit stated there is a high chance that she might have to cancel last minute to prepare me. She fixed a date then cancelled the day before and then I fixed another date a month later then she cancelled again the day before. This gave me feelings of being dismissed, not valued, not taken seriously, not considered important. All the things I am trying to get help with from a reiki practioner and life coach. I also had to have my husband take care of my child to do this with her. I also had to take time off work to be there during work hours. These things matter to me too. I didn't think this was a professional thing to do. And more importantly she never said I might have to cancel due to my husband's work hours or made that very clear. I don't recommend this service because of last minute cancellations.

She started with a thorough chat about what I was looking for from the massage, what I wanted worked on and if there was anywhere I didn't want to be touched which I really appreciated. It was honestly some of the best bodywork I've ever had. Maria has an absolutely wonderful touch and energy. Her massage work has a beautiful flowing quality that I found quite wonderfully hypnotic.
