Of course it did help that he also loves cats and has a couple dogs. I was glad to find someone who was still hustling and working especially in the midst of Covid. I was able to book an appointment pretty seamlessly and bring in my own MUA the day of. On the day, I was very anxious and nervous because as comfortable as I am in front of a moving camera, for still photos and headshot, I am a deer in headlights. However, Iain is VERY chill and he brings a certain energy and comfortability that helped me to ease out of my awkwardness and get into different characters for my different looks. Within 2 hours, I was able to get 7 different looks and outfit changes which left me with a pool of headshots to choose from. His turnaround time for photos is very quick. I received my raw images at the end of the day. After I selected a few headshots that I wanted retouched, he sent back the edited versions the very next day. The man is quick! FYI: Iain's little studio is in his garage beneath his house in Hollywood. *If you plan on booking with Iain, I highly recommend arriving early as parking can be scarce.**

As a Headshot Photographer, he really knows exactly how to achieve the industry standards, and the kinds of shots that are going to get you in the room auditioning with casting directors. A lot of what makes his shots standout comes from his first hand experience of being infront of the camera and a working actor. I've done many many headshot sessions before, but Iain brought tricks and methods that I've never seen anyone bring into the studio. He's also very relaxed and creative which certainly helps bring out your most 'real' version of yourself. Cant recommend this unique service highly enough.

I discovered them through an acting group on Facebook, and Alexandra Lewis reached out and shared their website. From the first message, everything felt professional, thoughtful, and easy. I booked an amazingly affordable package and arrived at their West Hollywood studio feeling excited rather than nervous -- which says a lot. The space was intimate and calm, creating the perfect environment to focus and be present in front of the camera. Rory is exceptional at what he does. Duane was a great find for our wedding photography! We had a short private ceremony at my in-laws'…read morehome and Duane captured it beautifully. He found the perfect lighting in the backyard and took beautiful family photos that we'll treasure for a lifetime. We landed on Duane because we liked his photo style, the light and bright true tone colors. We are not into the moody sepia-tone lighting that seems to be so popular these days and Duane delivered great photos that were to our liking. Duane's prices were very reasonable for the package hours we requested. Unfortunately, Duane was sick for our wedding reception so we missed out on his photos. However, when he called me to break the news, he had already coordinated someone to take his place and connected us. That was very professional and helpful of him. He made sure I didn't panic and also sent me a recap of our conversation via email so I would be able to contact the new photographer. Duane is very calm and casual, so he is easy to work with, do not mistake his calm demeanor, he knows what he is doing and was great at posing us and making sure to get the best angles. We appreciate his work and would recommend him.

We thought it was too good to be true, but both our engagement and our wedding photos have come out amazing so far. I got one of my wedding pictures back and literally thought "there is no way this is me, it looks like a model shoot for a wedding dress!" The poses may feel funny but, trust me, he knows what he is doing. Duane was quick to respond by email/phone, and was on time to both the engagement and the wedding shoot. We are so excited to see the rest of our wedding photos, and will definitely recommend Duane to our friends if they end up getting married in SoCal!

If you are thinking about hiring Jeremy as your photographer, DO NOT. I wish someone had told me…read morethis before we committed to him as our wedding photographer. Jeremy, by far, was the WORST part of my wedding experience. He is lazy, manipulative, rude, so so slow, and makes excuses for every little thing. He will also charge you extra left and right and will not deliver when he says he will. We recently JUST got the final pictures and videos, now almost a year after the wedding I know what he will do once he sees this review. He will make excuses just like he did every step of the way. But honestly, if I can stop one more bride from having a aggravating experience, I will be happy. Fast forward to the wedding day. I had texted him two days prior to the wedding to let him know that we would like him in our hotel room at 1:30pm so that he can take pictures of us getting ready. It was now almost 2pm, he was nowhere to be found, and I had my husband call him. He tells us that he's been sitting in the lobby and that we should've called him earlier. WHY would I need to call him when I told him two days prior to be there at 1:30pm with our hotel room number. I was busy getting ready, and I knew that was going to happen which is why I gave him instructions beforehand. He was obviously just late and instead of letting us know that he might be late or even apologize, he just brushed it off. He didn't even get any picture of my husband and the groomsmen getting ready. After the wedding it was time to take pictures with family and friends. Obviously we relied on him on where to stand for then pictures. Well it turns out ALL of those pictures have a bright circle from the sun. Most of the circles are on our faces. When we brought it up during the editing phase, he told us that it couldn't be removed and that that's just how it is. AND YOU COULDN'T TELL US US THIS WHILE WE WERE TAKING THE PICTURES?! He also chose a place that had guests and workers in the background of our photos. We thought he was editing them out, but he tells us after the fact that they can't be removed. Why didn't we take the pictures at a different location or angle? Mind you the entire time we were asking for the edits he was being defensive and telling us he disclosed all of this to us....well he didn't. We also didn't get any pictures with our wedding singer (even though we specifically hired him for the ceremony and reception) despite our request. It took us about 12 weeks to get the unedited pictures from the wedding.....which was a long time to wait. He shared like 5 pictures as "teasers" but it took him the full 12 weeks to upload the pictures into a file we can look at. NOT EVEN EDITED. So why did it take him that long just to upload? There were 4000+ pictures and he made it sound like we were getting ALL of the pictures as a favor. Well let me tell you that no one needs 4000+ pictures. Most of them were us with weird faces and some weird pictures that no one needed. Just an organized ~500 pictures would've been fine, but no. He uses the 4000+ pictures as an excuse that it took so long..... uploading 500 or 4000+ unedited pictures into a folder for us to view does not take that long. He then told us to pick our favorites to go into the Album, and those pictures would be edited. Well I don't even know what his idea of editing is because the final pictures still had graffiti and bird poop in the background. He told us those can't be edited out. OKAY SO WHY DID WE TAKE THE PICTURES THERE?! Also, every time he gave us a delivery date, it was not met. We always had to follow up and he would tell us "oh I sent it yesterday" .....well you didn't because neither of us got it. He always had something or someone to blame. When I pointed out his terrible customer service, he decided that he wasn't going to talk to me anymore. He sends a message to my husband saying he won't communicate with me anymore. EXCUSE ME I paid for the service. What kind of a business refuses to talk to his clients that paid him?! Because I was pointing out how frustrating it was to work with an arrogant, lying person? He is ridiculous. He was literally the worst part of the happiest day of our lives. If you are considering him, please for the life of me, don't. You will regret the choice. He told us that the wait is worth it for the pictures. Trust me, they are not. P.s. do you really want someone that says "I'm also happy to offer your husband a discount on his next wedding" to be your wedding photographer? Let's think about that one.
