I saw Dr.Askin yesterday for two painful ingrown toenails and an underfoot wart/callus that caused pain when walking. The process was quick, easy & painless. I left his office leaving the pain I once had behind and am finally comfortable at last ‍ he made sure to take his time explaining everything I needed to know & always checked to see if I had any questions that he immediately answered before moving forward with the plan ahead. Prior to leaving the office, he gave me amazing post care tips that both will help my situation and are super easy on the wallet. Both he and his staff are amazing! So I called in yesterday for an infected ingrown nail and Monica was able to fit me in that same day but due to my schedule I chose the next day. Ingrown toenails. They're a great time. They make it difficult to walk around without being in immense pain from your inflamed toes hitting your shoes. And letting a blanket rest on them while you're lying in bed is out of the question because even THAT hurts. Also, forget about trying to garner sympathy from people for these things; the moment you speak the words "ingrown" and "toenails" you'll have people looking at you all scrunched up and stank-faced. But that's okay, YOU'LL GET THROUGH THIS. All you gotta do is take your swollen-toed self on down to this office and have them help you out, so you can finally walk and talk (about things other than your toes?) in peace. Dr. Askin and his nurses, Monica and (there was another lady I didn't hear the name of but she was also wonderful!!) took care of me when I came in for a visit. They helped me out with my pair of ingrown toenails with patience and expertise. They took x-rays of my feet which revealed that I'm prone to getting these things because of the shape of my toes (oh, goody). Then, they prepped my toes for the procedure. One was better than the other, so it was simple as a little clip and tug. Unfortunately the other was all nasty infected, so it needed a good dosage of anesthetic to get it to fall asleep before they started on that one. Once asleep, the process was simple as can be, just as the other was. Some thorough care instructions and follow up appt scheduling later, I was out of there feeling all brand new with my fixed up piggies. I highly recommend this office to those who are dealing with feet issues. It's difficult to get your friends to care much about your toes, but the staff at this office will! ;) read more

Where do I begin!? I grew up in Norwalk and I'm visiting from Las Vegas this week. Was supposed to leave back for Vegas this morning when yay I woke up with a gout flare. I've literally called 50+ local offices this morning and no one was able to help. Until I called Dr Askin's office. Monica by the way is amazing and got me in. She said can you be here in 30? I said I'll be there in 15. Here I am in the chair getting a laser treatment post injections. Dr Askin has been nothing but delightful. Knowing I'm a new patient and not local he's done everything he can do assist me so I can head back home. I come back to visit often since my family is all still here and plan to make Dr Askin my podiatrist. I've had issues finding any kind of doctor in Vegas. Since my family is here local might as well have my podiatrist here. Can't wait to come back! read more

I searched this doctor through Yelp and at first was hesitant to go due to the reviews I've read. But I'm glad I did, I was told that he just moved to this office last November. There's plenty of parking and his office was clean. You can tell Dr. Askin has many years experience because he was able to treat my foot without hurting me. And if I may include Monica, front office staff, was pretty helpful and polite. I would definitely refer him to others. read more

Can not RECOMMEND this Doctor enough. I went through 5 podiatrists before finding Dr. Askin. He is certainly the BEST and most knowledgeable of all the feet doctors I have seen. My feet are in the best condition since 30 years ago. I have had several problems from bone spurs to much more severe problems. He has taken care of all the problems with great success. Thorough, attentive, accessible, and careful, are just a few words that begin to describe Dr. Jerald Askin. Fortunate is an understatement in terms of us finding Dr. Askin. Short of a miracle we were truly blessed to be seen by Dr.Askin last minute. My 10 year-old daughter had a horrible ingrown toenail and cyst like growth. Not only was he very thorough in his explanations of his planned treatments for my daughter, he was also very patient with her fear of needles and the overall treatment process. I highly recommend Dr. Askin, he's so knowledgable you definitely know you're under great care. He and his office staff are excellent at multitasking while still providing optimal care. This place is terrible. No parking. Had a o wait and go around in circles for over 30 minutes. Then they booked my cousins appt at 4. The dr was away and didn't even come back till 5. It's currently 5:30 and I've been here since 3:30. Worst service ever. They over book and expect you to wait hours to be seen. By the way we had to come with her 3 month old baby who was not happy to be here and not home. Awful place. Don't even waste your time with this place. They didn't even do a good job. This is the second time she's come here for the same ingrown toenail in 3 months. If they would have done things right the first time, we would not be here today dealing with this B's. read more
