Very disappointed with this team. My mother trusted them providing same service and recommendation from first home sale however this team fell short. In a time she needed to trust them instead they took advantage from getting paid for services where they rarely did anything from roof referral that turned into big flop and disaster to getting home sold where my mother literally took the pictures and wrote the summary of the home. Back in 2017, Seth helped us get into our very first home. I remember the stress and anxiety of trying to get into a home as first-time buyers. We found many beautiful listings but it seemed everything was just out of reach. After a few homes fell through we started to feel out of place. We questioned if we should keep trying and if the struggle, headache, and rejection were worth it. In summary, we felt dejected. As a husband, father, and provider I felt a serious blow to my ego. I share this because I'm sure I'm not alone. It's scary to put everything on the line and hope for the best. Especially knowing the odds are against you. In hindsight, I can tell you Seth and his team made all the difference. Having a seasoned agent on your side directly correlates to success in real estate. Not only did he coach us and keep us focused. He knew all the little nuances of making a strong offer. As mentioned we had seen many beautiful homes at this point. Unfortunately, we lost to cash bids with no contingencies or a ridiculous offer over the asking price. Suddenly on a Saturday, we got a call, it was Seth, and he said a new listing just hit the market. You need to come see this. We thought OK no problem, it's on a Saturday we packed the three boys and showed up. We show up and the listing looks great and at the right price, so far so good. Seth says to us "To make a stronger bid you should write a personal letter to the seller". We said sure no problem we don't have anything to lose and lots to gain. We wrote a sincere letter to the seller and shared how Parker was our first choice and how Douglas County schools would be great for the boys. My wife shared details about how much she loved the yard for the kids and the wood floors with beautiful inlays throughout. Thought about using them but they totally lacked professionalism-- followed their signs to an open house they were hosting in Castle Pines only to learn upon arrival that the open house was from 2p-4p as noted on a sign in front of the house. It was noon. So, we called the number on the sign to ask questions about the listing and got a call back from an associate who knew nothing about the listing. At that time he said that the sign was wrong-- the open house was from 2:30-4:30. Very unprofessional! Upon arrival the agent knew nothing about the house but wanted to act as our buyer agent. At the same time another buyer walked in vehemently complaining about how unprofessional the agent was about their signage. Seth sent me a text message asking me how we liked the house last night but when I told him of our experience he blew me off. "Sorry for your inconvenience but glad you liked the house ". Seth and Amanda A friend of ours recommended that we move to Parker from Las Vegas when we said we might be moving to Colorado. He sent us a picture of Seth's flyer and said he saw "this guy's" name around a lot. After contacting Seth, he put me in contact with someone on his team, Amanda Wyatt. First off, only having owned one home, I was nervous about purchasing a home in another state and how that would transpire. What are the logistics of something like that? Just the thought alone overwhelmed me. Amanda was very proactive throughout the entire process, also while being respectful of the fact that we weren't in a hurry(so we thought, lol). My husband went to check out Parker and I pretty much signed off on the move once he okayed it, never having stepped foot in Parker. I met Amanda on a two day, house "exploring" trip by myself. I say exploring because I thought I was really just getting a vibe for the area and homes. We met and she drove me around to all the new builds, while educating me on the specifics of what different companies offered. The next day I felt defeated that I didn't like any of the new builds. She encouraged me to look at 7 homes, only because I was flying back that night and wanted to maximize my time there. It felt like speed dating for homes, she advised me if I instantly was turned off, to save time, it might be best to leave, which I liked because I feel like with homes you know if it's the one or not. First home, amazing, everything I wanted. Second home, THAT WAS IT! I went back and told my husband and asked his opinion on putting an offer down. Amanda offered to go back and take videos and based off of her videos, he also loved it. She was amazing at not selling us a home, but being our advocate through the process. Once the ball got rolling, Seth jumped in, although I know he was aware of our process the entire time and made himself available from the beginning. The entire process with Seth and Amanda went smoother than I ever could've imagined for an out of state purchase. I really could go on and on and on about what a gem of a person Amanda is and how amazing Seth was throughout. But I'll try to stick to things that are important as a buyer. Amanda never ever pressured us in any way, I say that only because in the past I've had agents try to get us to go above our budget because of our income, but she never did. In fact, she just stuck to the ceiling price and from there looked for what we wanted in the home within a wide range of prices. I realize it has been a while since we have communicated but thought you would like to hear that we had our home re-appraised last week at $380K. If you remember, we paid $280K last November. ($273,500 if you count the Obama stimulus credit we were able to take advantage of) I can't believe we have lived here almost a year now but have been busy fixing up the house. We repainted everything upstairs and added some crown molding and chair rail in the office and dining room. We refaced the kitchen cabinets in a glazed knotty alder and added crown molding to the top cabs. We also just completed the basement. We added 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, an excercise room, a craftroom with a full wall of cabinets and sink, a kitchen (less the stove), dining/game table area and a large entertainment room with space for the big screen and a pool table. We also have room left over for storage. We are working on the outside now and are about ready to lay sod. So far we have spent about $35K for the updates which means we have gained ~$70K in equity in less than a year! I guess you can stock this one up as a successful "short sale" purchase experience.
