Charlotte is a calm gentle loving dark golden retriever. Loves baths, having her teeth and ears cleaned, but hates having no her nails trimmed. She is so bad about getting them trimmed I had have the vet give her something to settle her enough to her nails. Very expensive and not healthy to keep doing that. My vet's office manager recommended Jensen Beach Salty Dog. I was told if they can't trim Charlotte's nails no one can. Well, happy to report Charlotte does every month and now gets her nails done. Jensen Beach Salty Dog is a small place, but they are fabulous. You can tell they love what they do and animals. Highly recommend!! read more

Bo has no eyes (due to a birth defect), so it's hard to find someone who understands and can make him comfortable. They were great with him and he really liked them! I've been going to this grooming salon for 2 years. My dog love's his pampering. He's ridiculous when it comes to going to his appointments, I do believe he believes that the salon is simply running just for him. I am new to the area so I was in need for a new place to bring my 17 year old chihuahua for a bath and nail trim. I came across Jensen Beach Salty Dog, which I am so glad. When dropping her off, after giving all of my precautionary information about my fur baby, I realized she has so many things for someone unaware to handle. I felt at ease that they could handle all of my precautionary requests: her joint issues (she needs to be picked up at her belly), heart condition (she can't get too excited or passes out, and here's what to do if that happens), and anxiety (she doesn't seem to like bathes anymore and generally freaks out with blow dryers). My baby looked so content, sleepy (which meant she was good and not anxious) and so nice and fluffy with a cute bandana around her neck when I picked her up. Thank you Salty Dog of Jensen Beach! I would never recommend Jensen Beach Salty Dog again. I had been a customer for almost 2 years. I never had an issue. On March 23 I took my Meelo to be groomed. He had an 'issue' at the groomer and Jasmine took him next store to vet where they had to resuscitate him. He then started to have seizures. My dog was perfectly healthy, with no underlying conditions, when he arrived. The vet said he had bruising behind one eye and remnants of a bloody nose. I had to put him down on March 29th. Jasmine is not telling me the truth about what happened to protect herself. His death was unnecessary. I believe he was dropped or she said she she may have hit him by accident. He died of a trauma to his head. They don't have cameras in the service area. Please don't ever take your pet to Jensen Beach Salty Dog. read more

Took my poodle there cut was awful and she was sedated was not her self for 3 days of course they denied everything but I notice she was somewhat lethargic 2 other times the cuts were better but this time was it paid 75.00 plus 15.00 tip and her hair was hardly cut it's been a week and here are the pictures right now she needs another hair cut read more

Worst experience ever! We tried the place for the first time. We explained that we wanted our dog bathed and the ear, feet and groin area trimmed. We were quoted $35 over the phone. When dropping off my husband again explained what we wanted reading from my text. I called early in the morning and left a message as to exactly what we wanted because the lady on the phone the day before seemed slightly confused. Well they shaved my dog and charged me $65!!! We didn't want the dog shaved and it was a poorly done shave at that. They were very rude and did not apologize when I told them that wasn't what I wanted. They kept saying nope that's what I asked for. Poor puppies beautiful coat is now gone! read more

Not professionally operated. You're asked at drop off, "What are we doing today?" Nothing is noted, the girl at the desk has no computer, and she shakes her head at your instructions, and when you pick up your dog his haircut is nothing like what was discussed. This groomer doesn't cut my dogs nails or pull all the hair out of his ears. I've had to do this...AFTER he comes home. The haircut is shaved but any parts that require scissorsing are chopped and shaggy looking. Most groomers have a natural ability and can use scissors and clippers. They refuse to express anal glands so you will have to bring your dog to your Vet. A choppy haircut (that looks messy like I cut it myself) skipping nail trimmings, and the handwritten appointment book, as nothing is kept on file. This groomer has NEVER requested any proof of current vaccines. You could be bringing your pets into contact with any number of contagiousness. This is a dumpy little business. It's cheaper then other groomers for a reason. Go to a professional with experience who has the income to afford good help, a computerized management system and more natural talent. I would find it hard to believe the state of Florida doesn't require proof of rabies (before) they groom. read more
